As sweat drip down from his forehead. Rosabelle hurried over to him with a piece of cloth. As she lightly dab it over his forehead asking "Are you ok darling?" he started to feel a little bit more relaxed and said "Yes thanks." As he started to head to bed he heard a loud thump. He started to hear loud wailing. He went to check where it was coming from. The closer he got the more nervous he got. He didn't know why he was sweating in worries. He kept thinking it was his wife, going into labor. When he thought of that he started sprinting toward the noise. And there she was, ready to give birth any second. He rushed to her side as fast as he could. He said "It's ok honey, I'm right here just keep pushing no matter what pain ok!?" She kept saying "I-i can't!" After a couple of hours had passed of wailing and pushing there lays a newborn child. "It's a girl honey." But his wife grabbed his hand and said "I-i can't be there for her...." "W-what you mean you can't!" he said. Her last words was "We shall name her Sylivia...." The man couldn't believe his eyes. That his wife was dead, he just couldn't believe it. "wake up! Wake up, please I can't do this alone....I need you..." As he sobs . As the night goes by it became morning. He realize what had happened last night and started to sob. He wanted it to all just be a bad nightmare. But he thought how can something so real and horrifying be just a nightmare. When he started to hear a baby wailing he said "Sylivia!" He had forgotten that not only that his wife had died, she also had a baby girl. He rushed out of bed to the kitchen where his new baby girl lies on the floor. Sylivia always mumbled to herself while thinking "do i have a mother?" One day she decided to ask her father if she had a mother. But every time she asked, he cried. While her father was asleep she cleaned. She got curious about what was in the basement because her father always told her not to go down there unless it important. While she was dusting the objects she never seen before she found a picture near a fancy pot. It was a picture of her dad and a beautiful woman. "He looked so happy" said Sylivia while she caressed the picture frame. She stared at the woman. She noticed she looked a bit like her. As she start rambling through the other dusty things she found a fancy lavender box. As she opened the box she found more pictures of the woman and her dad. While she looking though the pictures she seen a tall shadow at the top of the stairs. When she looked at the top of the stairs there was nothing. But when she looked back at the picture she noticed her father in the picture had a sinister smile. She hurried and put the picture back in the lavender box and rushed back up the stairs. Once she closed the basement door her father been awoken. She made him soup so he wouldn't be as hungry. Her father looked at her for awhile before taking a sip of his watery soup. "I've had a dream you went into the basement" he said. Cold sweat began to fall from Sylivia face. She started thinking "how does father knows I been in the basement?". Sylivia hated lying to her father so she told him the truth. She then asked about the woman in the photo with him. "A woman?" he said. "Yes there was a beautiful woman with you in the photo" Sylivia said. Her father looked down to his hands saying "that's your mother." Sylivia then started staring at her dad with excitement. She always thought she didn't have a mother. "She died after she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl..." Sylivia smile then turned into a frown. "is that why he always cried when i asked?"
Sylivia then started going into the basement more often. She started looking at the other pictures in the lavender box. When she got done she went up stairs. She heard loud walking behind her. She stopped and look, "maybe a mouse" she said. When she finished going upstairs she checked on her dad to see if he was awoke. He wasn't yet awake so she decided to go on a walk. She searched for a clear spot without many trees. She heard rustling behind her. "Must be the wind" she said. When she found a clear spot she grabbed a stick. She placed the stick the direction she came from so she would remember. After a couple of minutes of sitting under the sun she took out a pack of crackers she had in her pocket. As she was eating the crackers she counted her bites she took. She closed her eye and doze off. When she opened her eyes again it was pitch dark. The only light source around her was the moon. "Sylivia!" She heard something calling her name but didn't know where. "Hello?" she called out. No response. Sylivia decided it was best to start heading home. But the stick was nowhere around...She looked around her and noticed the wood she seen before now looked rearranged. While she was looking around she saw a passway. She decided to walk on the passway because it seem many had taken that way before. As she walked down that narrow dark passway she seen light. As she got closer she noticed there was a little cabin. She walk inside because it looked like a gift store. She walked up to the counter where a man was standing. "Mister can you help me, I'm lost my way back home. The man looked at her with confusion. "How did you get here without a single scratch" said the man. Sylivia thought that the people acted slightly weird. The few people in the store started mumbling. The only thing Sylivia could hear out of it was "blood moon". She looked out the window of the store and noticed the moon had turn as red as blood. As she was looking out the window at the moon she looked at the trees surrounding the store. She seen something that stood out other than the trees. It disfigured tall body stood out in the moonlight. Sylivia got goosebumps and hurried away from the window. She told the man at the counter what she saw. The man looked at her with fear in his eye then asked, "did it call your name before you came here" said the man. Sylivia started thinking to herself. "When i woke up from my nap i heard my name" said Sylivia. "Did you answer it" asked the man. "Well I said hello..." said Sylivia. The man started sweating. " I'll let you stay till the sun rise, then i will walk you home...how does that sound". "great thank you mister". The man looked at Sylivia with concern hoping nothing bad happen to them while they are asleep.
