Legacy:the Mystery of 2 Families
chapter 1
Alister blackwood
*leans against the door frame, arms crossed*
“You’re late.”
*smirks, watching her stride into the room*
seraphina valmont
*barely glances at him, adjusting her gloves*
“I don’t need to be early to make an entrance.”
*sits at the head of the table, confident and poised*
Alister blackwood
*raises an eyebrow, amused*
“Confident, aren’t we? Not sure if that’ll help you in today’s negotiations.”
seraphina valmont
*finally looks at him, her eyes sharp*
“Confidence isn’t what wins negotiations. Strategy does.”
*her tone is cold, calculating*
Alister blackwood
*chuckles, walking closer and sitting across from her*
“Good. I was getting bored of easy opponents.”
seraphina valmont
*smirks slightly, tapping her fingers on the table*
“I’ll make sure to keep you on your toes, then.”
*her gaze flickers to the documents in front of him*
“Though from what I’ve seen, you’re already one step behind.”
Alister blackwood
*eyes flash with amusement*
“You think you’ve outsmarted me? You haven’t even seen my opening move yet.”
seraphina valmont
*leans forward, meeting his gaze directly*
“I don’t need to. You always play your cards too soon.”
Alister blackwood
*laughs, the sound low and rich*
“You really think you’ve got me figured out, huh?”
*rests his chin on his hand, eyes never leaving hers*
“Tell me, what’s my next move then?”
seraphina valmont
*smiles sweetly, though her eyes remain calculating*
“You’ll try to throw me off with charm, hoping I’ll underestimate you. But you forget...”
*pauses, locking eyes with him*
“I don’t play games I can’t win.”
Alister blackwood
**[Male Lead]:**
*smirk fades slightly, his gaze growing more intense*
“Neither do I.”
ch 2
Alister blackwood
*leans back in his chair, watching her with a hint of challenge in his eyes*
“You sound pretty confident for someone who's about to lose.”
seraphina valmont
*glances at the papers in front of her, unfazed*
“Is that what you think? You haven’t even seen what I’ve prepared.”
seraphina valmont
*meets his gaze, her voice calm and measured*
“Or are you bluffing already?"
Alister blackwood
*chuckles, the sound deep*
“Bluffing? Please, I don’t need to bluff. I just prefer to see you try before I crush your hopes.”
seraphina valmont
*raises an eyebrow, unimpressed*
“Big words. Let's see if your actions can keep up.”
seraphina valmont
*She leans back slightly, her expression never wavering*
“This negotiation isn’t about who can talk bigger. It’s about who can out think the other.”
Alister blackwood
*grins, leaning closer*
“Then you should be worried. I’ve been out thinking my opponents for years.”
Alister blackwood
*His voice drops*
“You won’t be any different.”
seraphina valmont
*meets his gaze head-on, unfazed by his proximity*
“I’ve faced worse than you. If you think your reputation scares me, you’re mistaken.”
seraphina valmont
*Smirks*
“You’re just another opponent. And I never lose.”
Alister blackwood
*narrows his eyes, his smirk fading into something more serious*
“We’ll see about that.”
ch 3
seraphina valmont
*places her hand on the document in front of her, flipping to a specific page*
“I’ve done my research. You’ve got some impressive numbers, but there’s a flaw in your projections for next quarter. Your growth will stall.”
seraphina valmont
*slides the document across the table to him, her voice calm, confident*
“Your investors won’t be happy.”
Alister blackwood
*glances at the document without picking it up, a smirk tugging at his lips*
“You think you’ve found something I haven’t?”
Alister blackwood
*leans forward slightly, his eyes locked on hers*
“I’m ahead of you, as usual.”
seraphina valmont
*smiles slightly, tapping her fingers on the table*
“Are you? You might want to take a closer look. I’m not here to waste my time with half-baked assumptions.”
seraphina valmont
*raises an eyebrow*
“Go ahead, prove me wrong.”
Alister blackwood
*finally picks up the document, skimming over the numbers with a practiced eye
after a few moments, his expression doesn’t change, but the silence stretches a little longer than expected*
“You’re thorough, I’ll give you that.”
Alister blackwood
*puts the paper down, leaning back in his chair*
“But you overlooked something.”
seraphina valmont
*crosses her arms, curious but unbothered*
“Oh? And what’s that?”
Alister blackwood
*smirks, his eyes gleaming with a hint of mischief*
“You’re assuming I’m playing by the same rules as everyone else.”
Alister blackwood
*Leans forward again, his voice dropping slightly*
“By the time your analysis catches up, I’ll already have shifted my strategy. That’s why I don’t lose.”
seraphina valmont
*her eyes narrow, but there’s a flicker of admiration behind the challenge*
“So you admit your current plan has a flaw.”
Alister blackwood
*grins, unfazed*
“Flaws are just opportunities. You should know that by now.”
Alister blackwood
*tilts his head*
“But it looks like we’re at a stalemate. Unless you have something better than playing defense.”
seraphina valmont
*pauses for a moment, calculating*
“You want my offer? Fine.”
seraphina valmont
*She slides another paper across the table, her eyes sharp*
“This proposal puts both of us ahead. You get what you want without stalling, and I get the leverage I need. It’s a win for both.”
seraphina valmont
*her voice cools slightly*
“But if you’re too stubborn to see it, feel free to walk away.”
Alister blackwood
*glances down at the proposal, the corner of his mouth twitching as he reads it*
Alister blackwood
After a long pause, he folds the paper and tucks it into his jacket pocket*
“Not bad.”
Alister blackwood
*Stands up slowly, his eyes never leaving hers*
“I’ll think about it.”
*his grin returns*
“Try not to get too comfortable with that win just yet.”
seraphina valmont
*watches him rise, not moving from her seat, her smile subtle*
“I never do.”
*her voice laced with quiet confidence*
“But we both know who came out on top today.”
Alister blackwood
*pauses at the door, giving her one last look*
“We’ll see about that."
