It's back to school day. Everyone was depressed and sad after the holidays ended. Everyone except Jeon Jungkook.
He was the most relieved person in that room, after experiencing the disastrous divorce of his parents. He could not live in that house with that negative energy.
That's the reason he was looking forward to going back to school. He would forget about the disturbing things he heard and meet his friends and, especially, his best friend, Taehyung.
The only solace left for Jungkook.
Jungkook
Where is he even?
Jungkook mumbled it to himself.
Jungkook and Taehyung always used to begin the new school year with each other, going to the classes together, having fun.
Jungkook whined in a very low voice so that the girl behind him couldn't hear him. He was just burned up with all the things going on in his life. He did not want to deal with his ex's new girlfriend.
Jennie leant on the locker beside him as he was getting the stuff out of his.
Jungkook
Nothing, just waiting for somebody.
Jungkook
What are you doing here?
Jennie
Just looking around...
Jennie looked distracted, as if she was trying to find somebody. She kept looking over her shoulder as she was talking to Jungkook and fidgeting with her fingers.
Jennie
Anyway, have you seen Taehyung?
Jungkook
No... He hasn't arrived yet.
Jennie
Ohh, dear... he has arrived.
Jennie said, pointing towards the school's door.
In walked Taehyung, wearing "The leather Jacket", white shirt and cargo pants, looking handsome as ever.
Jennie
Didn't you always arrive together?
Jennie was visibly confused at the seen arrangement. Little did she know, so was Jungkook.
Jungkook closed his locker with a "bang" and every attention went on him. Every single eye was looking at him, including the one who he was waiting for. Jungkook looked around and walked away from there.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook's back as he left, sighing at the latter's attitude.
The classes started and so did the hell for Jungkook. He hated the high school with all his might. He already had a bad summer and without Taehyung being present there, he had to spend all his time alone. Locked up in his room so that he doesn't hear his parents fighting at the top of their voices to his mother coming up to tell him about their divorce. He was there, all ALONE.
Jungkook was trying to focus on the board, as the teacher was displaying slides. He was looking outside, watching Taehyung play Rugby. He was looking as pretty as he could.
His hair was messy, the sun directly reflecting on his head, his shirt wet with sweat and face annoyed till the point that it was looking hot.
All the girls sitting on the stairs were giggling, looking at the view of handsome dudes playing. Yeah, there wasn't only Taehyung present there, many more were present there as well.
Jimin, the head boy of their school, was there as well. His hair slicked back and shirt's sleeves folded back. His hand looked damped as well.
Teacher
Anything interesting going down there, Mr. Jeon?
Jungkook
Yeah, handsome dudes.
Jungkook didn't realise that he said that aloud. He immediately looked at his teacher, when he heard the laughter of his classmates. He went red in a heartbeat.
His teacher looked unfazed and kept the chalk in his hand down on the desk.
Teacher
Come see me after school, Mr.Jeon, will you?
Yeonjun
I can't believe you got detention on the first day!
Jungkook
Yeah, better believe it.
They were sitting in the cafeteria. Too much happened to Jungkook that he couldn't bear to attend any more classes. Now, he was sitting with the class clown talking about his problems because all the other people he knows are busy ignoring him. Yes, he means Taehyung. And yes, he is people.
Just then, the cafeteria doors opened and walked the rugby players who were playing outside when Jungkook was gawking at them.
Jungkook wanted the Earth to swallow him as he saw Taehyung talking to a girl, a very, very pretty girl. He could feel his heart sink when the girl said something in his ears and he fcking laughed out loud.
He could see "the" gaze on him, now. He could feel it.
It was practically engulfing him when Taehyung walked to his side and smiled at him.
Taehyung
How are you, Jungkook?

Jungkook left from there in a hurry.
Taehyung
How could I even talk to you after what happened to me this summer....
Jihyun
What happened, bro?
Taehyung got a sudden jumpscare from his cousin, Jihyun. He turned, slowly around and gave her a death stare.
Jihyun gave him a smirk because she knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to her. Of course, she doesn't know what happened to him but she did have an idea what went down with her parents and him.
She wasn't stupid.
Jihyun
You should sue my parents.
Taehyung
I won't be able to. They are the only ones around me that can help.
Taehyung was getting irritated with such obvious and boring questions like, he had answers to all that. Ask him serious questions about his summer and he will give you the best fabricated story ever.
Taehyung left there as well, he was too sad to think that he would be telling Jungkook the lie about his life. He hates lying to him.
Jungkook was his everything growing up, considering he was his childhood friend. He was the kindest and the most genuine person Taehyung knows in the world.
Jihyun
Hate to see the falling apart of such close friends....Oh, well.

Taehyung
PLEASE! PLEASE, LEAVE ME ALONE!
Taehyung
I HAVE DONE NOTHING TO YOU, EVER? WHY ME!

This is not about that.
The unknown vampire said in a calm voice. He bore his vampire teeth and smirked at the terrified teenage boy.
They both were standing face to face in a graveyard with Taehyung standing in front of his loved one's grave.
Not only that, but he was crying uncontrollably. He was blaming himself for visiting the graveyard at this hour. He could not handle the pain that he was feeling just by the thoughts of his parents and what would happen to them.
But before Taehyung could give this another real thought, the vampire was by his side, tilting his neck and bored his teeth in Taehyung's neck.
Taehyung screamed in sudden pain and cried out loud but no one was there to listen to his hurtful screams and pain. He was all alone and the only one in his thoughts right then was Jungkook.

Taehyung woke up from that horrid dream that he always seems to dream. It was such a nightmare to dream that all the time. Every time he closed his eyes, he would see this scene. It was like registered on his mind.
But the teacher didn't seem to think that it was alright for Taehyung to sleep in his class so he got the detention on the first day back to school.
Jungkook muffled his laughter at the teachers' fumes coming out from his ears.
Taehyung
Sorry, sir. Won't happen again.
But by some weird fluke, Jungkook also got detention at the end of the day by which he was "visibly" and "audibly" upset.

Oh, well... Looks like the two of them would need to talk now since they are locked in the same room.

As one can guess, the tension in the detention room was as thick as it can get.
Apart from Taehyung and Jungkook, there were five more people present there.
Jungkook had a cordial relationship with everyone present there, except for, obviously, Kim Taehyung. They were sitting side by side, why? Taehyung doesn't know. He got there first and sat at their unofficially, assigned seats. He thought Jungkook would sit elsewhere but, Jungkook came straight into the classroom onto that chair.
Taehyung really needs to clear the air between them of animosity, which was mainly one-sided. He kept taking glances of Jungkook in between his hesitations while Jungkook was busy looking out the window where the rugby players were previously playing.
Jungkook just can't stand Taehyung at the given moment of time. He just can't. With all the things going through his head about his family situation, he doesn't need to burden himself with the clarification that Taehyung would provide.
Jungkook
I don't need to hear any explanations from you about your "disappearance".
Jungkook air quoted the word disappearance. He just can't not be dramatic. It's in his blood as he was speaking through.
Taehyung felt silent. He was feeling upset, more with himself than with the boy beside him. He needs to get his act together and just confess in one line. He was attacked. Just this. What's so hard?
Well, for one, Jungkook's expression.
Just pure irritation.
At just this conjecture, the teacher enters the class.
Teacher
Quite a lot of people today. Why do you all go on inviting trouble for yourselves in this school?
Teacher
We suffer because of you all. I need to stay back just to take this detention.
Teacher
If you weren't all here, I would be sitting at my home.
Jungkook puts up his hand.
Jungkook
You are the reason I am here. What are you even talking about?
Jungkook
You would still be here if others weren't here because you put me in detention.
Teacher
Trying to be smart?
Teacher
Shut your nonsense or you are getting for a week straight.
Safe to say, none of them spoke anything in the entirety of that period.

Jungkook was on his bed, contemplating his life and the choices he make to make his life difficult and horrendous.
Micha knocks on his door.
Jungkook just closes his eyes, unable to fathom the courage to reply to his mother. He hadn't talked to her since their fight in the kitchen, earlier that morning.
Micha knocks one more time, before stepping inside his room.
He just rolls his eyes, and covers himself with his duvet. Can't look at her. It annoys him.
Jungkook
No need for privacy, I guess.
Micha just sighs, she can't deal with the mood swings of the teenage boy.
She just came back from work, not to witness whatever was happening. She earns the money to provide Jungkook the life he deserves, but his disrespectful behaviour just makes it harder for his mother to be understanding of him.
Micha
If you won't respond, I will come inside. That's the rule.
Jungkook
Well, you also have rules for marriage. Don't think so you were a great rule-follower there.
Micha just stares blank at her son.
She just wants to beat the shit out of him.
Micha
Better come downstairs before I start cutting from your allowance.
Micha
Well, if you don't come, you aren't allowying to meet your dad.
Jungkook
That's preposterous.
Micha just smiled softly and was about to leave when she heard a heartbreaking sentence.
Jungkook
No wonder dad left you.
