Can someone really be so stupid when it comes to love?

Yes, Hello I'm lexia and this is my true short story, I'm 18 years old I live in the Philippines, I'm at college now and my story happened recently around August 11, 2024, I'm a choir at my local church and I'm not that good at it tbh but even tho I know that I still stay, Last month my church went on an outing to celebrate the churches anniversary and ofc our group was invited, Before I dwell on the details I'd like to first say I don't befriend the other organization's not because I'm mean or anything but because I had issues with them before, moving on we celebrated at a resort it was just us and 2 other organization's one which are full of boys and one which are a group of scholars, so I didn't know what came over me that day but I suddenly had the urge to befriend one of the boys just because it was mostly boys there, boys that are around 11-18 years old, To be specific I befriended this boy who's around 16 years old and I was 18 at the time, he seemed normal at first he seemed OK, The day ended with me being friends with him, I didn’t talked to him for like weeks after that so moving on our church does this bible study for youth, So ofc I was required to join, my friends weren't there so, I was a bit lonely then he approached me the boy I met at the pool let's call him Nicky, Nicky started talking to me and getting all closed with me that night, we realised that we had a lot in common so naturally we got closer the night ended with him seeing me off in the jeep, So tarts when things went to hell for me, He chatted and said "Heys let's be friends on ig" and ofc I agreed cause why not?, So nicky and I started chatting with him initiating every chat on ig, Nicky knows that I read a lot of bl so ofc I'd be sexually understanding, he had his sexual preference and I didn't felt grossed out because I was used to this topics because some of my friends are weird. He started becoming more open with me and ofc things took a turn when he started asking for weird things like "Can I call you mommy?" At first I was ew, but I said in the end "Don't be weird, but I'm fine with that" I was use to being with weird friends that this felt normal.

Before you ask "Lexia what If he likes you?", I've asked him tons of times in chat if he likes me or not. I'd say "Hey If you like me I just want you to know, I don't like you".

I was direct and straight to the point and everytime he'd answer with a "No I don't like you it's just ive never met a girl like you before" to me that sounds like he likes me but I didn't wanna push the button so I just said "Alright ", Moving on he started calling me mommy every chat, so yeah I guess this should have been the first red flag but I'm dense, So yeah he started chatting almost everyday asking if, I've eaten already, what am I doing?, am I resting, do you wanna hangout?"
