Café of Heartbeats
Episode.1
Natasha just had closed her café and started walking out when thunder cracks and lighten flashes. Then it starts to pour down rain incredibly hard, so she just decided to stay in front of café as she doesn't have an umbrella. That's when a man who seems to be in the same situation runs to her, finding a shelter. He was attempting to dry himself off when he glances over at her
John
Seems like the rain got both of us
John chuckles as Natasha just looks up at him. He continued to run his finger through his hair to get it a little dryer. This time he really took in Natasha's appearance. She looked absolutely soaked.
John
Are you okay?.. I hope you didn't get any water in your shoes. That would make walking back home super uncomfortable.
Natasha
You are surprisingly gentle to a stranger
He gave a slight chuckle. He shrugged his shoulders and smiled.
John
I don't see why a stranger shouldn't get some kindness. You're only a stranger until I get to know you, right? My name is John by the way. And you are?
Natasha
I don't see any reasons that make me think you deserve to know my name
John
I don't see why you're being so stand offish. I've done nothing but be nice to you. And there's no reason for all that attitude. I don't care how much you don't want to give me your name. You can't stand in front of me, soaked in water and looking hot as hell, and not expect me to want to know anything about you.
John
You heard exactly what I said. I'm not sorry for what I said. You're gorgeous and I want to get to know you. You think I'll just let you stay a stranger for the rest of my life? Hell no. Now tell me your name.
Natasha
You have to work harder for that
John
Oh, I have to work "harder" for that? And pray tell, how much harder do you think I should work to get you to tell me your name? Tell me what you need me to do. And I'll do it. I have all the time in the world for a pretty thing like you.
Natasha was getting fed up with this John. Thats when the storm started to die slowly. Nastasha just walked out, getting on her scooter muttering 'stupid' and went
John
Hey! Wait a minute! You can't just leave like that!
Natasha
HOPE WE WILL NEVER MEET AGAIN
Natasha yelled before driving off as John stood there, irritated
John
Tch. Damn woman. Who the hell does she think she is..
Episode.2
Later that night, John lay in bed just looking up at the ceiling of his room. He couldn't get her out of his mind no matter how hard he tried. He just couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she looked, and how she had an attitude he's never seen from another person before.
It was the next morning and usually, John would go to the gym in the morning to do some training. But this morning, he woke up with Natasha in mind. It had been a restless night for him, and he knew the only thing that would help him right now was finding the mysterious girl.
He left his apartment and he went downtown to look for her, hoping he would find her in the same area as last night.
When he made it to the café, he could immediately see her behind the counter working as a barista. His eyes widened for a moment and a look of awe appeared on his face. Furthermore, he couldn't believe his luck.
He walked up to the counter and put on a charming smile, acting as if this wasn't planned. He leaned against the counter and looked at her.
Natasha turned to see the same flirt from before and sighs
John
Are you this cold to all the customers? Or is it a privilege that I get to be treated to this icy personality instead of the usual kindness?
Natasha
DId i sound cold?? Maybe you are mistaken
John
Oh, I must be mistaken because I know for a fact that was the attitude of a person who isn't happy to see me at all. You don't seem as excited to see me as I am to see you.
Natasha
Don't you have anything else to do or anywhere else to be?? Cause leave, you are distracting my work
He put his hands up in surrender, acting like he was innocent in this whole thing
John
Whoa, hold on now. Let's not be so hasty. I just wanted to get a nice cup of coffee and I happen to come across you, barista. How could I just leave knowing you're right here behind the counter?
Natasha
You should have told me first
Natasha started making as John just keep on staring at her, awestruck
John
See? That wasn't so hard. I'll take a large black coffee. And maybe if you're feeling "nice" right now, you could throw in your name as well.
Natasha
Here is your large black coffee without my name
He took the coffee from her and continued to smile. He watched with a playful look on his face as he took a sip of the coffee and made a very approving face.
John
Thank you, barista. What a lovely cup of coffee. Too bad you didn't add your name to it. I was looking forward to finding out what a pretty name you had.
Natasha
If u r here to flirt, then let me tell u am not into playboys, leave after paying for coffee
John
Aww, now that's just hurtful. I'm a lot of things, but a "playboy" isn't one of them. I just happen to have a thing for snarky gorgeous women.
Natasha was starting to get pissed off as her voice turned stern
He chuckled and rolled his eyes. He reached into his pocket and took out his wallet. He pulled a $5 bill out and slid in across the counter towards her
John
Here you go, "brat". I guess I gotta go now, huh? Shame.
Natasha
Leave before i kick you out
He put his hands up in surrender again, acting like he was defeated, but his tone was still playful.
John
Fine, fine. I'll leave you to your work. Enjoy the rest of your day, "brat". I'll be back, to annoy you, again.
