Hello. I’m Woo Youngjae, the love interest(?) of the story. I am 31 years old and the CEO of Nebula Entertainment (the company Taejun is licensed under).
Lee Hwayoung
Hello! I’m Lee Hwayoung, a supporting role. I am 29 years old and work under Nebula Entertainment as the manager of ‘Mirror-Mirror’
Han Yongkwon
Hi. I’m Han Yongkwon, a supporting role. I’m 25 years old and licensed under Nebula Entertainment as an idol. I am currently in a boy band called ‘Mirror-Mirror’. I am Kang Taejun’s most trusted friend.

Prologue
Taejun and his family stood around the grave of his recently deceased mother.
Kang Min-Ik
Come on, Taejun. We don’t have all day. The plane departs in a few hours.
Taejun ignored his father, continuing to gaze down at his mother’s grave.
In a few hours they were to leave for America to live with Min-Ik’s immediate family. With the loss of his beloved wife, Min-Ik no longer had the means financially to keep his family well supported. Fortunately, Min-Ik’s father was a very wealthy business man and was more than happy to offer Min-Ik a high paying job at his company. Min-Ik, in desperate need of money and a fresh start took the offer graciously.
Taejun was upset by this decision, not wanting to abandon the life he had made for himself in Korea.
Kang Min-Ik
*sigh* I’ll be waiting at the front gate. Jaewon, are you coming?
Min-Ik turned around and began to walk away.
Taejun’s younger brother, Jaewon, glanced sheepishly at Taejun and patted his shoulder to get his attention.
Kang Jaewon
You’re not leaving with us... are you?
His voice was laced with disappointment.
Kang Taejun
I... don’t know.
Jaewon frowned and began to walk away to join their father. Suddenly he stops walking and turns back around to face Taejun.
Kang Jaewon
Listen, whatever you choose to do I’ll support that decision...
He hesitates for a moment
Kang Jaewon
Even if that means you won’t be coming to America with us.
Jaewon smiles kindly letting a single tear roll down his cheek. Taejun returns the gesture with a smile of his own and nods.
Kang Taejun
Thank you, brother.
Jaewon says, trying his best to hold back tears.
Kang Taejun
I’ll meet you and father at the gate in a moment. I just... need a moment to myself.
Jaewon nods, understanding.
He waves and walks away to join their father.
Taejun turns around to face the gravestone. His eyes are wet with tears.
Kang Taejun
I don’t know what to do, Mom... why’d you have to leave us?
Tears now flow freely from his eyes and leave the collar of his shirt damp.
Kang Taejun
I miss you so much...
Taejun sniffles and wipes away the tears with his sleeve.
Kang Taejun
I’ll be leaving now... farewell, Mom.
Taejun walks away to join his family. They wait by the gate in silence as Min-Ik hails a taxi.
Kang Taejun
I want to stay here... in Korea.
Min-Ik is shocked for a moment, but nods acknowledging Taejun’s choice. Taejun fiddles with the hem of his shirt nervously.
Kang Min-Ik
Hm... I have a couple of questions.
Min-Ik scratches his chin, thinking.
Kang Min-Ik
First of all, where would you be staying?
Kang Taejun
Yongkwon’s place. He already offered, and plus all my stuff is at his house anyways.
Kang Min-Ik
Hm, yes... we were going to stop by there anyways...
Kang Min-Ik
Second question, how will you provide for yourself? I would send money, but I’m not sure how much your grandfather will be paying me... plus you’re only 15.
Kang Taejun
I’ll find a part-time job. There’re surprisingly plenty of openings around here.
Kang Min-Ik
Well it seems like I’ve run out of questions...
Min-Ik places his hand on Taejun’s shoulder and smiles at him. Taejun looks up at his father, surprised.
Kang Min-Ik
Very well, if that is what you wish there is no stopping you from doing so.
Kang Taejun
Thank you father!
Taejun hugs his father. Min-Ik sighs and hugs back,
Kang Taejun
Yongkwon is gonna be so happy to hear I’m staying!
