It was another day at Japan's most prestigious School. I am ranked first in the School ranking system and I get some top grades in the country maybe even the world.
I walked into my usual class and was greeting by a pinked hair girl "Good morning, Hayato!" she says with a huge smile and glimmering blue eyes. It was one of my fellow student council members, Miyuki. I give her a gentle smile and greet her back "Hey, how are you?". She replies with an optimistic tone "I'm doing great. But I've gotta go now I have a meeting with my math tutor. Sorry" she gives me a small apologetic smile." That's fine, have a Good time". I wave her goodbye as she gives me a nod to say see you later, and I watch her leave the classroom.
I casually walk over to my desk, which is by the window. Outside the window my eyes are met with a beautiful sea of red, yellow and orange leaves. My head ponders about the wonderful scenery Japanese autumn has. I seemed to have completely forgotten my surroundings because I am startled by a loud bang across the room. I turn my head to see what made the sound.
A crowd of students is gathered by the door. I jumped out of my seat to see what was going on. I passed through the crowd, and I was shocked at what I saw. The door was kicked over. It was broken. On the ground. I turn my head. My teacher panicked. Then I saw him. The transfer student. Ace.
I froze for a moment. The boy glared at me with a piercing gaze, almost as to warn me not to go near him.I couldn't resist noticing his pearly gray eyes, they were fierce yet somewhat mesmerizing. However, I heeded the warning and approached my teacher instead. Just as Ace tried to get away the assistant headmaster, Mr. Takahashi, caught him. "Headmistress's office. NOW." said the man with a firm voice. The boy rolled his eyes and I gave him a victorious look that he definitely didn't like because he uttered something to himself, which I couldn't hear, with a face of anger.
Once the boy left, I let out a sigh of relief. It happened to be my teacher, Miss Yuki's same response. We look at each other and laugh. She gives me a warm smile. I look around us and notice there is still a huge crowd surrounding us. I decided to take charge and calm down the commotion. However, I do understand all their interest since this is the first time anything like that had ever happened here at our school.
"Please, sit down everyone. The incident is over now." I say with a calm professional voice. The students almost immediately take their. Miss Yuki thanks me. "It's my job to keep the students focused as well, since I am the student council president." I reassure with a soft voice. I make my way back to my seat as well.
My mind tries to focus of the kind teacher at the front of the class but my mind drifts into my own string of thoughts. I was thinking of the boy. He was about shoulder height to me, with brunette hair, big eyes, and... I shouldn't be thinking of him, he's probably getting kicked out the school right in this very moment. He's irrelevant to me now.
I try to refocus, but I hear the other students gossiping about the boy. He got kicked from his past school for bullying, bunking and other acts of misbehavior. Now that I think of it why on earth would he be accepted to the greatest school in Japan. My mind is once again drawn to thoughts of Ace. I sigh. Why do I keep getting distracted by that irrelevant, egotistical boy?
I must've been deep I thought as someone taps me on my shoulder. It was Miss Yuki. I see the whole class looking back at me and Mr.Takahashi by the now broken door." Sorry about that. I guess I was just zoning out." I say with a confused but apologetic voice.
"Please go to the Headmistress's office, she would like to have a word with you." said the man by the door. This didn't bring any fear to me like I know it would with other people as I am regularly called into the Headmistress's office to discuss and resolve matters around the school. I stand up "Thank you sir, I will be there shortly." the man leaves while I pick up my bag.
I make my way across the class and nod goodbye to my teacher. She waves me off. I pass through the empty door frame and take a moment to take in such an unusual event that had happened about half an hour ago. I make my way down the corridor and turn right. I reach a big wooden door. It had a golden label saying 'Mrs. Akiyama'. I was familiar with the beautiful architectural structure of the door.
It had an arch at the top and a beautiful flower patter carved into it. The door was a large double door. It had two lovely golden door knobs at each side of the huge door. I gave the door a gentle knock. I waited about thirty seconds for the door to open. The headmistress greeted me, and I was welcomed with a warm smile. She gestures me to come inside, so I follow after her.
But when I get in I see the transfer student sat by the Headmistress's desk. My head is suddenly very confused. I thought he would've been excluded by now. I wander what the headmistress called me here for. Why was Ace still here? What does the headmistress wish to discuss with me?
