the story starts with a girl named kira who is of age 13 and not to quite long ago, she got a scholarship to attend a very wealthy academy and today was supposed to be her first day and she knew that her getting in was a bit strange though, but she was excited anyway,

she remembered writing the exam she actually tried hard she knew she had practiced for it but there were other few people in her class she thought would naturally come before her but to her surprise when it was announced she was said to be number one which put her in great shock and joy at the same time because what she wanted to see most right now was her best friend Mai.

Mai and her were friends since she was younger than how she is now they did almost everything together and in the past and went to the same school together.

Back then they were described as 2 birds of a feather but with time Mai moved to a bigger school but it seemed reasonable even to some of there classmates after all Mai's mom was very very wealthy she wasn't even supposed to attend such a school it was only a matter of time before she moved to a school that seemed her class because of that kira couldn't interact with Mai as she used to do before, because of that their time together was reduced so Mai had to focus on what was Infront of her and even kira also had to focus on what was Infront of her as she grew however they still talked and met up sometimes,

 and the last time they met so far as kira could recall she looked like she was doing a bit well, after all she had become more mature and looked prettier too so she was quite okay to know that even if they didn't talk as much at least she was doing fine.

at breakfast she couldn't even contain her excitement she talked and talked even when her family reminded her of her manners she somehow still ended up on the topic

 she said so much that they just let her be, after all they knew what this meant for her and that it would mean she would also get a lot of opportunities if she goes to that school it also heavily means her future will be better than how it is now

She didn't even finish her breakfast she just said “ am done thanks for the lovely meal ” and immediately ran outside ready to leave but she heard a voice from her dad say “ stop have you forgotten I will drive you to school ” she had to stop after she realized and just laughed it off and said “ excitement does gets the best of people”

...As they drove she urged her father to go faster and faster and faster but he then looked at her and said “ if you want 2 of us not to visit the ground below for a vacation of eternity you'd calm down” after hearing that she decided that maybe it be best to keep quiet for a sec

 immediately she got to the school environment she immediately came out of the car ready to go but she immediately stopped and her senses kicked in and she turned and said to her Dad “ sorry to much excitement thanks ” but she suddenly heard someone call her name and turned to see who it was and saw

 Mai she was so happy and excited to see her that she too began running her direction and they immediately gave each other a big wide hug

 Mai expressed how glad she was to see her and said “ I couldn't imagine a more happier week than this I have so much to show you your going to love it here" kira father so that they were too happy to see each other that they did not recognize that he was still there so he let out a fake cough so they put more focus on him and kira actually turned in worries but Mai could see he just wanted to thank her and she said “ oh sorry sir am very grateful to see you both here ” but Kira's dad just said “ no need in thanking me I should be the one thanking you for putting a smile in my daughter's face ” Mai smiled and said “ no need rest assured I will take care of her we need to go now we're expected to be in the building when it's quite early ” Kira's dad just nodded and Mai pulled Kira's arm excitedly as they were walking to the school building kira took a good look at it again and realized it was magnificent

she actually started thinking a lot the kids around here most are going to be way wealthy than her and she was definitely going to meet different attitudes so Incase it becomes a scenerio were some don't like her or look down on her she has to stand her ground

Mai gladly led kira through they school and they got to a place were all the other kids were gathered the principal introduced himself to the new coming ones that probably didn't knew him kira however noted that he was a man who wore a red and white suit and he had a magenta hair color however he seemed like a really nice person he advised and encouraged all the kids to do there best

after that was over Mai happily led kira to there class but as they walked through the door Mai stopped and was in serious thought kira noticing this asked her what was wrong and Mai looked at her and said “ kira being here on a scholarship means you might be really quite different from the other kids here, which I don't mind but for somethings it's better to be said so you can cope around here ” kira then said to mai “go on" ok I will tell you some of our classmates you need to be a bit careful when you're with before for can fully handle yourself here so the first person I will tell you about is Mandy ”

well to be honest I don't have anything against her the reason I tell you to be careful with her is because she does not take a liking to someone like you" hearing this kira was confused and said “ someone like me” but mia just told her not to worry it wasn't really mainly about her and added “ Mandy is someone that likes attention especially when the attention is on her so just note that that, ok now the next person is Lily "

in all honesty lily is actually a really sweet girl the reason I say you should be careful with your interactions with her is because she is close friends with Mandy and remember how I said Mandy doesn't like you that much I don't think you would like trouble to break out involving anyone into it because of a close relationship you get me” and kira nodded to that seeing so Mai continued and said “next is Arcane"

Arcane is a mainly himself kind of person in which you don't know too much about him so I urge you to be careful when you eventually interact with him seeing we are in the same class since you are different we don't know how his reaction towards you would be" kira nodded again to show she understood then Mai said “the next I can think of is Victor

victor is quite competitive and got some anger issues going on with him lately anyway just be careful I don't want you to be looked down by a silly mistake or whatever the next I can say is Allen

Actually to be honest he his actually someone quite nice to know he is very helpful , very intelligent and more and relating with someone like him would be good for you he can even help you get out of alot of trouble by the way I am not saying the others aren't great and he is best, what I am saying is someone like him could help you alot but not in a way were we take advantage of his kindness in a way were we appreciate him" kira than replied “ alright is there more or are you done" Mai thought again and said “ ye the next is Ivan,

Ivan is quite a nice guy and sometimes a bit quite shy and I somehow find that kind of cute I can definitely say I see him as a friend I will make you two friends too so you can be part of that cuteness” kira had to stop Mai to remind her she was giving advice to her to be careful with some of her classmates so not to cause misunderstanding because of their difference not a list of the 2 she just mentioned that we would definitely be great for her to know then Mai calmed down and said to kira “ sorry got lost for a minute there making it look like a forgot the track of were I originally started from anyway next is Raymond

ye this one is very essential for me to say not because of the person but someone attached to him you remember how I said Mandy might not like you, well Mandy usually says that Raymond is the best, his talented, his the most gorgeous and his hers well why I won't deny that he looks like a great person I also cannot tell if what Mandy says is supposed to be a joke that she might have have a crush on him or just admires him too much ye it becomes confusing when she easily makes it clear for everyone one to hear Raymond himself just already considers it as her joking around maybe she is, I don't even know ” then kira replied “ are you saying Mandy is a difficult person to understand" and Mai replied “ ye something like that but not actually why I tell you to be careful is because I really don't want any trouble for you because of that ” but kira just smiled at Mai and said “ don't worry you worry for me too much I can take care of myself you need to relax is there anyone you would want to tell me about” Mai then sighed and said “fine but this is the last I think i will tell you she goes by the name Asuka”

believe me or not Asuka hardly show emotions she is normally expressionless but she seems like a cool person I think she is quite strong and brave the thing is just like lily she is exceptionally close to Mandy ” then kira said “ I thought you said she was expressionless ” and Mai told her back “ ye but not emotionless , some how and for some reason her and Mandy are close as shocking as it sounds one of the most closest sometimes you can see her helping and protecting Mandy and remember what I said about Mandy not liking you so you have to be serious and careful alright ” but then Mai said “ but anyway what I am saying is pointless ” as kira was about to tell Mai what she told her wasn't pointless Mai then said “ if anyone can handle it I know it's you ” kira then said “ hey you tricked me with the word play " then her and Mai just laughed it off soon the teacher for there class came in he introduced himself to kira as Mr.Liam and then introduced her to the class

and assigned her to a particular seat she greeted everybody and explained she was the the one here on scholarship and went to her seat but when she got there she saw her classmates using both books and laptops but she didn't have any laptop with her but before she knew it a boy tapped her from the back and said “hey kira use this” she turned and saw Allen the boy Mai told her was helpful and also brilliant giving her a laptop for her to use and she was quite surprised and said “ thanks I'm really great full ” but he just told her “ you know it's yours right ” kira was shocked and said “ you don't have to actually give me this laptop I can use it for today " Allen couldn't help but laugh a bit and said “ you needed this as it's part of your enrollment into this school so any particular student was going to hand this over to you I just accepted the responsibility ” she realized, smiled and said “ but thanks anyway to me that was still thoughtfull and ye actually by the way how did you know my name I didn't tell anyone I just introduced myself as the student that got the scholarship and so did the teacher introduce me as so how did you know" Allen then said surprised “ they put the list of people who got scholarship to here off course I would know the one from my class ” kira feeling gullible said “off course I am just a bit off today ” but Allen responded “ no problem your funny " and then he continued to focus on his work kira happily turned back to focus on her own work and said to herself in her mind “ Mai was right he is quite helpful if she was right about him then what about the others and the ones that did not see her as pleasant ”

after a while because today was the frist day of school not much happened and kira noticed herself starting to get tired which was something she rarely felt she tried hard to stay awake long story short she eventually fell asleep

she slept and no one really did much to get her to wake up and before you knew it time began to pass and go

and before you knew it school was over and students were beginning to go home while some stayed around for a while and kira was still sleeping till Mai came to her and began to shake her to wake up

kira said in a weak voice “ am tired Mai let me rest" however Mai said “ but kira school is over we have to go but suddenly kira felt as if something surged into her

the weird feeling was so overwhelming she started rushing out of the classroom

Mai obviously knew something was wrong and was instantly worried and shocked by the way kira left the classroom

she immediately followed her calling her name but kira didn't stop she immediately ran straight to the old school building she opened the doors shockingly and entered in Mai had no choice but to follow her kira stood in a place and Mai tapped her and said “what's wrong” then kira told Mai “ I don't know ” Mai was shocked in hearing that but before she knew it the door behind closed by itself seeing this she screamed and ran to open it but it was no use kira joined her but for some reason the old door became stronger than it should be but then kira stopped and looked at an old place and said to mai that it looked weird , Mai realized that there was something wrong with it and said that there was something there her and kira looked closer and both said together “ it's a chest ” they both worked together and brought it out together ”

looking at it kira said “ it's old but I love the way it looks " and Mai said “ I wonder who kept it here can it open ( Mai touched it) it's hard am not sure ” but kira quickly lifted it and it opened

it was glowing Mai reached in to grab what was in but to her surprise they brought out a park of cards however they were not disappointed kira immediately said “ a park of cards I wonder what it was for which game the pictures in it look strange ” Mai then gave kira the cards to hold and then she noticed something and said “ kira look the cards are glowing woah and some of them are even flying around" it was kind of cool for them to see cards that were glowing and some even left the park of cards and plus they were flying on there own they wondered which power was behind it kira then gave Mai the cards so she can see it glow which she did

but it didn't take long in Mai's hands the cards stopped glowing and returned to the park instead of flying around seeing kira quickly picked the cards from Mai to take a closer look at them and said “ what's wrong why has it stopped working I wonder what's going on” just then the cards started glowing and floating around again and kira said to Mai “ look it has started working again ” just then Mai realized something she told kira to give her the cards which she did and it didn't take long for the cards to lose power she gave it to kira and it soon started working again Mai then did this again and it was the same outcome again so she finally came to a conclusion and she said to kira “ kira it looks like this cards only activate to this beautiful sight when it is with you when it is with me it doesn't take long before it returns to it's natural state ” hearing this kira was confused and said “but I don't seem to get it why me ” before the 2 could say another word a huge blue light enveloped the place and once they opened there eyes they were shocked of what they saw

the two were shocked at were they where and they were in a void themselves and they couldn't explain wondering where they were it also did not take time the two girls disappeared again kira couldn't help but feel weird and amazed by the sight instead of scared

it didn't take long the 2 started to disappear from there and the two appeared outside of the old school house

the shocking experience left them confused Mai quickly called kira to check if that was not a dream and kira did and found the cards and now even if they told people about it kira could land in more trouble for being able to control it Mai just told her to keep it and not say anything for now tomorrow she would come and meet her so they could see what they can do

Kira couldn't even sleep well at night after the unbelievable day she had, she thought of everything thing that had happened and why the cards only responded to her maybe it could also respond to someone else but that might be a little risky if someone thought she was insane maybe it is some kind of technology yet why was it giving some kind of magic kind of vibe she had locked the park of cards in her drawer and kept the key somewhere safe.

The next morning as kira got up for another day of school hopefully it wouldn't be worse her parents immediately told her she didn't need to think of that as there would be no school for her today as it had gone on a 3 days break and she immediately blurted “ what kind of school immediately starts it's first session then goes on a break immediately after that ” then kira just remembered what Mai said to her the day that strange thing happened and this were her exact words “ don't worry about much for now frist you won't be needing to come to school so stay at home tomorrow I will handle it though I might have to ask my mom for something I will come over at your place tomorrow to see how we can figure this out ” she immediately thought of the obvious outcome did Mai ask her mom to close down the entire school for 3 days it doesn't even sound far fetched when you see that the school is now closed down her mom asked kira if she would join her to help in her little bakery while her Dad was at work but Kira gave a quick excuse that she was not well, well she wasn't lying she really had so much that happened to her the other day mentally she was not well she however said that Mai was going to come over to check up on her which was also truthful if you think about it we'll enough and after time passed Kira was a bit lonely, alone all by herself and then she quickly had a knock on her door and immediately rushed down just to see it was a neighbor who came to borrow a pen after she gave the pen closed the door and turned to leave just then she had another knock confused she opened again this time to see no one there

so as she was going to leave again Mai immediately came out from the place she was hiding and said “ don't tell me you are going to leave me stranded here and all alone” hearing the voice Kira immediately ran towards Mai and gave her a big hug and said “ playing tricks on me huh” and Mai said “ hey I thought I could so I did” the two went in Kira didn't know how she should offer her things because she was so wealthy things here was obviously way different from how it was in where Mai lived however when they were younger this her thought process wasn't a problem because back then it didn't matter so she decided to just act on how she would as she saw Mai as her friend that should be the main concern here however Mai just quickly went to the fact she was here to see what they can do about the cards she even brought an entire box with her before anything should start, though she was happy about them hanging out together she was more concerned about Kira's safety seeing this kira understood and the two of them went to her room.

Kira immediately opened her drawer and put the pack of cards on the ground then her and Mai sat beside it and Mai said “ so have you done anything with it yet ” and Kira said “ I locked it up the whole day and told no one ” then Mai asked if it still floated and glowed around her but kira made it clear that she didn't know as she covered it and didn't touch it again she said it might be risky as she doesn't even know where it took them last time but she has to touch it again to find out if it still responded to her then Mai agreed and said “ am right here if anything happens ” as kira picked up the cards nothing happened.

“ nothing happened " kira was a bit surprised that nothing has happened for the past few seconds she has held on to the cards she immediately breathed a sigh of relief and said “ maybe something was off before it might be some kind of technology that's why it might have been locked before and maybe it only responded to me for some reason ” but then her sight immediately picked up on a particular card that was glowing and she reached for it and said “ wait what's this strange one here and it glowing a different color this time more of blue ” when she looked at it she was quite surprised “ this one is quite different from the others the picture Infront of it looks like outer space with no planets like the night sky like the place her and Mai were last time and it somehow looked realistic then when she touched it with her finger it really went through inside then she immediately removed it more excited than worried she showed and said “ take a look at this one this card is amazing” Mai piqued interest and looked too as she was about to touch the card it pulled in both of them.

The two of them landed hard kira quickly hard a voice close to her face that said “hey get up you aren't going to keep kneeling down are you” she felt a little dizzy her and Mai managed to stand up to see if the other was okay when the two of them noticed they weren't in her room anymore they were in the same void that looked like the night sky and they were standing on it like solid ground the two of them now heard that there was a voice that seemed to be talking to kira saying “ hey are you just going to ignore me” kira realized that something else that wasn't Mai talked to her in this place for a minute there she thought it was her inner conscious ” they both looked at it surprised to see a cat a yellow and white flying cat

and it immediately said “what aren't I the cutest being you have ever seen ” kira immediately said “who are you ” and the cat immediately said “well I am your companion but you can call me Nirae " kira immediately said “by companion do you mean both of us and what the heck are you even doing here and your talking what I am even saying I am in a strange place like space due to a card I found from my old school building and Infront of me is a cat a flying yellow cat why am I even surprised that the cat is talking the people back home aren't going to believe this one " the cat responded saying “ by companion I just mean you and what am I doing here is to guide you immediately you got the cards you got me since after all you are the chosen one for the cards ” Nirae stopped for a bit then added “but hey after what you saw the other day don't you think for today that what's so surprising” kira smiled and when Nirae came close to her she started petting his head and said “ you're right ” and when he asked her what her name was she said Kira and Nirae said “ I know I hard it since I just wanted to hear it from you personally” then Mai who was at the back of all there chatting said “hi” to Nirae and he turned to her and said “ oh your the other girl who keeps getting dragged cause you tagged along with kira you don't have to stress yourself anymore that's my job we don't need to many companions” and Mai smiled and said “ you are really a mischievous and jealous little cat aren't you ” Nirae immediately flew over to her and said “ hey I am not jealous ” then Mai immediately started petting his head and said “ it's ok to be jealous you don't have to pretend ” and Nirae complained while shaking his head “ stop petting me am not jealous " and Mai removed her hand and immediately started laughing “ gosh am teasing you ” Nirae yelled “ stop making fun of me ” and Mai responded with “ but am not ” while still smiling then she raised her hand for a sec as she remembered something she checked her self and found something and gave it Nirae and told him to take,

Nirae suspiciously grabbed it from her and said “what is this for” and Mai told him that it is for eating so he slowly took a bite and when he discovered that it was delicious he started gobbling it up when he finished he asked if she had more and she she told him to wait a sec and she checked around herself and found another one and gave it to him he quickly took it and started eating when he finished he still asked for more but Mai told him it had all run out but he can get more when he comes with them he then asked “ what is what you gave me called ” she responded telling him “oh what I gave you is called a pastry things like that are called pastries though like I said you can get more when you tag along with us” and Nirae frowned a little did a stubborn face but said “ fine I guess you can tag along with me and kira but don't get to cocky about it it's only because I have inspected you and noticed you can be helpful in some ways” Mai just smiled at Nirae and told him “ will need to see some terms but the offer is still on ” Nirae got mad and was complaining about her statement but she just patted him on the head again and so he just let out an angry sigh.

  Getting back on track to focusing on the paranormal things so far kira immediately asked Nirae what this place was what were this cards why was she the so called chosen one and Nirae also immediately got to start to speak on the matter “ o ye about that the cards are a powerful tool that has existed for so Very long they highly differ with technology and did with more unatural matters this particular card is called your space and it can also be a place for you to practice often since it is full with lots of powerful energy and for you being the chosen one is because you are the chosen one and the cards belong to you now” kira looked at the cards in her bare hands staring but then Mai tapped her shoulder and said “ kira I think you do ok and be a great chosen one plus I will be with you each step of the way ( she put on a be confident smiling face and kira smiled back her before they both of them later turned back to face Nirae)” Mai then said “ is it ok to tell some people about it ” and Nirae said “ judging by some of the things he noticed about there world it's best to keep it a secret ” and kira added “ but still I need to know how to control this cards so I can handle myself it situations” and Nirae immediately enlightened her that if she wanted he could give her a little practice here and now kira curious wanting to know what it was like immediately agreed and said “ I'd love too” she told mai she wouldn't take to long and be back soon so there was no need to worry for her but I her mind she thought “ I hope so ” Nirae immediately tapped her and she appeared in a whole different place but the outer surroundings were the same she immediately saw Infront of her big floating stones that all had space from each other but seemed to serve as some kind of stairs and Nirae told her that this is for practice she should try learning on how to use the cards everything there has one thing on the order you can utilize to benefit yourself once you get a closer look you will understand me and surprisingly he immediately said the best way for you to learn this one is too do it by yourself so I gotta go before kira could say anything maybe even possibly protest Nirae was gone so she had to focus on what was Infront of her she breathed in and out and jumped on a stone she immediately held it when she landed to avoid falling and it worked when she stood up she jumped to the next and the next till she got to the last one Infront of her was a place that had solid ground guess it was were her next round would happen the only problem it was way too far if she'd jump high chances were she'd end up falling anyway she was ready to take her chances though there was no gravity in this place ever since Nirae brought her to this particular place there was gravity if not she could have easily floated through the stones she immediately noticed her cards glowing and she decided to pick it most particular amount of cards were glowing within the cards when she picked one she saw a rope then the next she saw a literal stairs an easy to get to the order side

but she stopped and thought for a moment she thought if she was going to improve or get better she needed to start making the choices for herself she no longer needed it to give her tutorials she started check the cards ignoring some of the glowing ones and picked one and she smiled and said perfect the card even shined a bit of light like it winked at her she immediately focused her energy one the card that seemed to be draining lots of her and said “ card of mystery slide ”

a huge slide appeared between her part and she immediately sat on it was this a miracle or what she thought

but soon the slide was becoming unable probably due to her still just beginning but luckily she had immediately got to the order side when she looked Infront of her it was just a Plain ground but further the other side of it was more stone stairs but on top was the final stop touch the floating golden pearl and all was over she obviously was aware she wasn't passing to the order easily so she yelled “ if you're there come out a guard someone guarding this place I know you're there” no answer so she started coming forward but slowly suddenly a huge strong gust of wind pushed her back there wasn't someone there but the gust of wind was the challenge it wouldn't let her through to the order side she kept going back she needed to think of something fast immediately she found the strength in her and she started moving forward slowly it was taking time but it was working using the strength in her body to move and she said “ I won't stop I will tame you till I conquer” she kept forward but suddenly something like black smoke started coming out of a rock it had red eyes and somehow human upper shape but looked like it had a tail it started had dark aura surrounding the place it raised it hard upwards and the gust started pushing her backwards she yelled “ this isn't fair ” she immediately thought to herself but I can't lose like this she immediately stopped stopped moving as she held her legs deep to the ground and tried to use her hand to cover her face from the bright storm heading her way it was almost too much she had to keep her eyes almost and somehow closed to avoid dust before she knew it she picked a card raised it and said “ shield”

a shield appeared but it didn't take long before it started breaking

then it shattered and the wind increased she then suddenly picked a card and bright light came out of it and immediately hovered the place when she opened her eyes she immediately saw the pack of cards in her hands the wind had stopped and there was nothing there she looked at her cards to be honest she didn't know which card she picked that acted like that she couldn't see it to probably guess it now wouldn't get anywhere that is if she ever finds it again maybe after learning she will understand she looked at herself and thought she should feel tired from all that but she didn't like it and immediately started running happy jumped through the stones and at the let one pulled out a card and said stairs climbed through it and touched the pearl she won and she let out a heavy breathe kinda realizing it takes energy to make this thing work Nirae and kira immediately appeared on a floating stone and Mai yelled “ kira you won Id knew you could do it ” as they came close kira joined them on the stone and said “ ye what the heck of practice but I guess I do believe it was necessary to improve” and Nirae said “ after all my master is only the best what outcome did we expect ” kira then said “ I can now get a grasp of how the cards work though it though I might still need time to improve ” Mai has said “you can am so happy for you ” kira announced they should probably get home and do something to get there minds of this for now and Nirae immediately said “ ye you got more pastries in that your fridgey thing right or is it somewhere else
