A girl was crying in her room.
Looking at her, it seemed as if she had been through a lot of suffering. Amid her sobs, she said, “Mom, I don’t want to marry that old man.”
Saying this, she hugged the woman standing behind her, who looked around 45 years old. “Mom, please do something. I can’t marry him!”
Her mother, Megha, tried to comfort her and said, “Don’t worry, Nitya. But you know very well, if this marriage doesn’t happen, our company will go bankrupt. We’ll lose this luxurious lifestyle we’ve built for ourselves.”
Nitya, the girl, replied with desperation, “Mom, we can do something else! There must be another way!”
Megha, taking a deep breath, said, “We can figure out something, but not right now. For now, you must agree to this marriage.”
As they were talking, a man around 50 years old walked into the room. He looked stern and authoritative.
“Are you two discussing this again?” he said sharply. “Listen to me carefully. This marriage is essential. I don’t want any mishap in this matter. Nitya, you must do this for me and for our company. I expect you won’t let me down.”
Hearing this, Nitya got angry and shouted, “Why are you ruining my life? I don’t want to marry him! Why don’t you arrange this marriage with your younger daughter instead?”
Her father, Amit Mittal, glared at her and said, “Are you out of your mind? She’s just 19 years old and still studying! Have you completely lost it? You’re already 23 and refusing to get married. You don’t get to sit around idly and act like this!”
“I know she’s my daughter, unlike you. But don’t you dare drag her into this. I will make all the decisions for her,” Amit added sternly.
Hearing her father’s words, Nitya grew angrier. Just then, a girl entered the room. She looked around 17 or 18 years old.
“What’s going on here, Dad? Why are Mom and Nitya crying?” she asked innocently.
Seeing her, Amit’s anger subsided a bit. “Nothing, dear. This is a matter between grown-ups. You should focus on your studies; your exams are about to start,” he replied softly.
The girl, Naina (our protagonist), smiled and said, “I’ve already prepared for my exams, Dad. You don’t need to worry.”
Amit smiled and affectionately placed his hand on her head.
However, Megha, Nitya’s mother, couldn’t hold back her anger anymore and snapped, “Amit, why do you care so much about this girl? Her mother is dead! Why don’t you just get her married and stop ruining my daughter’s life?”
Her words made Amit furious. “Don’t forget that Naina is my daughter too,” he retorted. “I know you’ll never accept her, but I refuse to ruin her future by forcing her into a marriage like this.”
Hearing this, Megha countered angrily, “Then why are you ruining my daughter’s life? What has she done to deserve this?”
Amit’s anger deepened. “Have you forgotten what your daughter has done? It’s your daughter who brought disgrace to us with that viral video. Or are you choosing to ignore that?”
Megha fell silent, knowing he was right. She knew what her daughter had done.
Trying to come up with a solution, she suggested, “Why don’t we just get her married to her boyfriend? That would solve everything.”
But Amit dismissed the idea immediately. “That’s not happening. I’ve already said that Nitya will marry Mr. Maheshwari. That’s my final decision.”
With that, he left the room.
Meanwhile, Naina had been silently observing everything. She found it amusing to see the drama unfolding before her. The video everyone was talking about was of Nitya and her boyfriend in a hotel room, kissing.
And the person who leaked that video? It was none other than Naina herself.
This was the beginning of her revenge. Ever since Naina had entered the Mittal household at the age of four after her mother’s death, she had faced immense harassment from her stepmother and stepsister.
But now, Naina was determined to settle every score. She had vowed to take revenge for every tear, every wound. And she had already started.
Leaving the room, Naina felt a bit overwhelmed by all the drama. Meanwhile, Amit knew very well how Megha and Nitya had treated Naina all these years. Yet, he couldn’t do much to protect her.
But there was another reason why Amit favored Naina so much—her talent. She was brilliant in her studies and had a sharp business acumen.
From school to college, Naina had always been a topper, making Amit immensely proud. Megha, too, had to admit Naina’s achievements, though grudgingly.
In contrast, Nitya, much like her mother, had been lazy and uninterested in anything productive. Her only interest lay in spending money.
Scene at the Mittal House
While all the drama unfolded at the Mittal house, another heated confrontation was brewing at the Agasti mansion.
Seated on the sofa, a furious Narendra Agasti was shouting at his grandson, Anirudh.
"Who gave you the right to decide whether you'll marry or not? This is my decision, and you will marry the daughter of the Mittal family. You have no choice but to obey me. If you don’t, you have no idea what I’m capable of!"
His voice was so loud that it triggered a coughing fit. Arvind Agasti, sitting beside him, tried to calm him down. "Dad, please relax. Anirudh will listen to you. Just calm down for now."
Narendra, however, pushed him aside angrily. "All this mess is because of you! Why did you make such a deal? Now no one is going to agree, and we’ll lose both our reputation and the company’s future."
Anirudh interjected with irritation, "Yes, Dad, why did you even make such a deal? I’m not ready for marriage right now. I just want to enjoy my life!"
As their heated argument continued, a stern and commanding voice echoed through the room. Instantly, the three men fell silent, sitting upright like schoolboys caught misbehaving.
The voice belonged to none other than Mrs. Neelima Agasti—the undisputed matriarch of the house. She walked over to the sofa, exuding authority. "What’s going on here?"
Arvind muttered under his breath, "Oh God, she looks extra scary today. Please save me." Then, forcing a smile, he quickly stood up and walked over to her. "Nothing, darling—"
But before he could finish, Neelima glared at him, silencing him mid-sentence. Narendra cut in, "Daughter-in-law, you need to convince Anirudh to agree to this marriage. Otherwise, our reputation and company shares will suffer badly. If the girl isn’t suitable, they can get divorced after six months. Problem solved."
Neelima sighed and nodded in agreement. Before she could say anything further, Anirudh softened his tone and addressed her, "Mom..." He looked at her with puppy-dog eyes, trying to win her over.
Neelima, seeing his expression, tried to coax him gently. "Anirudh, just listen to me once. Please agree to this marriage. For me?"
Reluctantly, Anirudh gave in. "Fine, Mom. If you want it, I’ll do it. But if the girl isn’t suitable, I’ll divorce her."
Neelima nodded, relieved. Arvind, overjoyed at his son’s agreement, hugged Neelima from behind and exclaimed, "Finally, Anirudh agreed!"
Neelima, however, pushed him away with an irritated look. "This entire mess is your fault. Because of you, my son is suffering. You won’t be sleeping in the bedroom for a whole month!"
A dejected Arvind fell silent, while Narendra secretly admired his daughter-in-law’s sharp wit and strong personality.
Meanwhile, Anirudh stepped out of the mansion, agreeing to the marriage only to see his mother happy. Neelima watched him leave with a heavy heart.
Arvind placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don’t worry. He’s marrying a good girl. She’ll take care of him."
Neelima shot him a warning glare. "You better pray she’s a good girl. If not, you know how bad things will get—for you."
With that, she stormed off, leaving Arvind muttering prayers under his breath. He too left for his office soon after, while Narendra calmly sipped his tea, unbothered by the chaos.

While Nitya and Anirudh’s families were busy planning their wedding, Nitya secretly sneaked out of her house to meet her boyfriend. She was sitting in a restaurant with a mask on, trying to stay unnoticed. Suddenly, a man approached her, someone who looked decent but wasn’t remarkable. He recognized her and took the seat next to her.
Looking at her with a mix of concern and frustration, he said, “Nitya, what are you doing? Are you crazy? How can you marry someone else? You said you wanted to marry me!” He grabbed her hand while speaking.
Nitya, however, thought to herself, Who would marry this idiot? I’m just using him to escape this marriage. For now, he’s useful to me, and through him, I’ll make my getaway. A devilish smirk appeared on her face as she plotted her escape.
On the other hand, the man sitting across from her was thinking, Acting like this is my only option. This girl might be my ticket to meeting Naina. Who would want to marry her anyway? She’s like a walking makeup store. My dream is to marry someone like Naina, someone gorgeous and elegant. He made a disgusted expression as the thought crossed his mind.
Pretending to be concerned, the man asked, “Baby, what can I do? Your dad is forcing you to marry some old guy. Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
Hearing this, Nitya nodded and hugged him. Inside her mind, she was laughing, thinking, If I run away, Dad will force Naina to marry that old man instead. I’ll just return later and escape from this marriage entirely. She was elated with her plan.
Meanwhile, Naina was in her room, studying. Out of nowhere, she started sneezing repeatedly. Irritated, she muttered to herself, “Naina, you need to stay careful tomorrow. After the mess I’ve created, someone might try to cause trouble. Better to avoid unnecessary drama.” She was clearly thinking about Nitya and their mother.

The Next Morning
Everyone boarded a private jet to the Maldives. The wedding plan was kept low-profile, with the ceremony being arranged in a beautiful church. The family wanted the wedding to be discreet and intimate.
The church was decorated entirely in white with orchids. The ambiance was serene yet luxurious, with floral arrangements adorning every corner.
Meanwhile, Anirudh was in his room, staring at his wedding outfit—a black three-piece suit with a diamond-studded brooch.
Suddenly, the door opened, and he turned around to see his father, Arvind, standing there. Arvind looked at him with guilt and said, “I’m sorry, son. You’re going through all this because of me. Please forgive me.” His voice was filled with remorse as he hung his head low.
Anirudh walked up to him and said, “Dad, it’s okay. I can do this for you. You don’t need to feel bad. I know you didn’t want this either, and you had no idea it would turn out this way.” He hugged Arvind tightly, and Arvind hugged him back.
After a moment, Arvind said, “Alright, son, are you planning to stand here all day, or will you get ready?”
Smiling, Anirudh went to change and came back wearing the suit. He stood confidently in front of Arvind, striking a Shah Rukh Khan pose, and asked, “How do I look?”
Arvind smiled warmly and replied, “Just like a hero.” He lovingly touched Anirudh’s face and kissed his forehead.
Irritated, Anirudh said, “Dad, how many times do I have to tell you not to do this? Keep the forehead kisses for Mom!”
Arvind shamelessly replied, “Your mom doesn’t let me! Every time I try, she pushes me away. That’s why you don’t have any siblings till now.”
Hearing this, Anirudh burst out laughing, and Arvind sulked.
Just then, the door burst open, and two men walked in, yelling, “Surprise! We’re here!”
Anirudh turned and glared at them. Without a word, he took off his shoe and threw it at one of the men, hitting him squarely on the head. “Ouch!” the man cried out, holding his head.
The second man started laughing at his friend’s plight, but his laughter was cut short when another shoe hit him on the nose. “Ahhh!” he yelled, clutching his nose.
Fuming, Anirudh asked, “What are you two doing here? Who invited you? I’ve been dealing with so much stress, and now you two show up to witness my downfall? Get out!”
The two men, named Vishal and Raghav, clasped their ears and said, “Sorry, buddy. We had to attend an important business meeting for the company. You know how crucial that deal was!” They began doing squats as punishment.
Anirudh rolled his eyes and said, “Fine, fine. You’re forgiven. But stop the squats before your pants rip, or you’ll lose whatever dignity you have left!”
Hearing this, both men immediately stopped and checked their pants for any damage. Seeing their antics, both Arvind and Anirudh burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Megha entered Nitya’s room to tell her the wedding wasn’t with an old man but with Anirudh Agastya. However, upon finding the room empty, she panicked.
Where is this girl? Did she make some reckless decision? Megha thought, pacing the room. She’s so foolish! She has the chance to marry Anirudh Agastya, and she’s throwing it away? The stress was giving her a headache, and she immediately started searching for Nitya.
Moments later, Amit also joined the search, worried about Nitya’s sudden disappearance.

Everyone had found out that Nitya had run away. Meanwhile, Mr. Amit was sitting on the sofa, holding his head and cursing Nitya. Just then, Mr. Arvind arrived and saw him in this state. Arvind asked, "What happened?" Hearing his question, Amit, a little scared, folded his hands and said, "Please forgive me... Nitya has run away from the wedding."
Hearing this, Arvind calmly replied, "Who said I wanted my son to marry Nitya?"
Amit was confused by his words and looked at him in shock. "What do you mean? I don't understand," he said.
Arvind then clarified, "I have asked for your daughter Naina's hand for my son."
Amit was stunned to hear this. He had not expected this at all.
Coming out of his shock, Amit said, "But Naina is only 19. I don't want her to marry so early."
Arvind, in a cold tone, replied, "I cannot let my son marry Nitya because her actions are infamous throughout the city, and I have no interest in ruining my family's reputation."
Hearing this, Amit lowered his head because he knew Arvind was right. Internally, he thought, Sorry, Naina, but if I have to sacrifice you to save this company, I will.
After speaking with Arvind for a while, Amit went to Naina's room, where she was using her phone. Seeing her father, she asked, "What happened, Dad?"
Hearing this, Amit folded his hands before her and said, "Naina, I’ve never asked you for anything before. But today, I want to ask you for something. Can you give it to me?"
Hearing his words, Naina’s doubt turned into certainty about what her father wanted. She said, "You want me to take Nitya’s place and marry him, right?"
Amit, surprised, looked at her, and Naina continued, "This is what you want, isn’t it? Fine, I’ll marry him."
Hearing her agreement, Amit hugged her happily. "You don’t know what you’re doing for me," he said.
But Naina had her own plans in mind. Amit left after asking her to get ready, sending a beautician to help her.
While getting ready, Naina thought to herself, Nitya, I will never forgive you for what you’ve done. You have no idea what’s waiting for you when you come back. And as for your mother, I will settle every score with her too. She made me cry; she killed my mom. I'll make sure she pays for it.
With determination and tears in her eyes, Naina whispered to herself, "Mom, I miss you so much."
She recalled overhearing a conversation between Nitya and her mother as a child, where Nitya’s mother had confessed to being responsible for her mom's death.
Meanwhile, at the church, Anirudh was waiting for his bride. Since the bride hadn’t arrived yet, everyone assumed she had run away. This thought made Anirudh happy.
But his happiness was short-lived as he saw Mr. Amit walking toward him, holding Naina’s hand.
Soft music began to play.
Anirudh froze for a moment when he saw Naina. Beside him, Vishal and Raghav teased him, saying, "Wow, Bhabhi is gorgeous!"
Irritated by their teasing, Anirudh shoved them, causing them to fall off the stage.
Meanwhile, Naina reached the stage. She wasn’t interested in the wedding and kept thinking about how she would survive the next six months. Her eyes fell on Anirudh, dressed in a black three-piece suit, looking extremely dashing.
In her mind, she thought, Is this the old man’s son I’m marrying?
But she was shocked when Amit placed her hand in Anirudh’s and said, "Take care of my daughter."
Looking at Anirudh, Naina thought, So my groom isn’t some old man, but this hot guy? Well, these six months will pass by comfortably now.
Naina smirked, imagining Nitya’s reaction. She couldn’t believe Nitya had given up such a great opportunity—a handsome and wealthy husband.
The priest began the wedding rituals.
(Apologies, I don’t know much about wedding rituals.)
A while later, the priest asked Anirudh, "Do you, Mr. Anirudh Agasti, take Miss Naina Mittal as your lawful wedded wife?"
Anirudh replied, "Yes, I do."
The priest then asked Naina, "Miss Naina Mittal, do you take Mr. Anirudh Agasti as your lawful wedded husband?"
Naina replied, "Yes, I do."
Everyone cheered happily upon hearing their vows.
The priest announced, "You are now husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Hearing this, Anirudh looked at his mother awkwardly. Seeing his hesitation, Vishal and Raghav burst into laughter.
Everyone began cheering loudly, "Kiss her! Kiss her!"
Anirudh was unsure of what to do. But before he could react, Naina grabbed his tie and pulled him close, planting a kiss on his lips.
Everyone, including Amit, was stunned by Naina’s bold move.
Even Neelima was impressed by her courage. She thought, It takes guts to initiate a kiss like that!
Meanwhile, Raghav and Vishal exchanged looks. "Anirudh is lucky to have such a bold wife," Raghav said.
Arvind, standing behind them, overheard and proudly said, "Of course, he’s my son."
Hearing this, Vishal (the son of Arvind's business partner) and Raghav (Anirudh’s assistant) immediately fell silent.
Meanwhile, Megha was still trying to call Nitya, who wasn’t answering. Megha was furious at Nitya’s foolishness.
