The Lost Chronicles of Vylonia

Wait Who is she?

"Um,where am I? This Isn’t my room. Where is this place?" Maybe Im still dreaming.

"Knock knock! Suddenly I heard a knock at the door . Miss are you awake ?" a soft voice called out.

" who is it ?" I replied , my voice shaking slightly.

"Please come in," I added, trying to sound calmer.

A young girl in maid's dress entered the room. Her presence made me feel like I was indeed dreaming ,surrounded by luxurious decor , stunning architecture, and luxurious clothes. The room was decorated with beautiful flowers, and the luxurious fabrics seemed to glow in soft light . There is a big window near my bed and a balcony also .

Now if Im really in a dream then I want to explore this place and then will wake up and will go to my classes."Miss? Ah ,yes. Are you saying something?". "What happened to me?

The maid was shocked .You don't remember miss?

You had fell down the staircases

and hit your head. you've been in coma. The doctor said you'll be fine, and you'll regain your conscience soon."

Wait let me bring the doctor here for a quick chekup.

She hurried out of the room, leaving me clueless.

As the maid hurried out of the room, I couldn't help myself but feel a mix of confusion and curiosity.

I tried to recall my past , but my memories seems hazy and distant. The luxurious surroundings and the maid's words only added to my confusion.

I remembered being in my room , reading my favorite novel, and dealing with the aftermath of a broken of a broken friendship. But how did I end up here ?

I slowly got out of bed, feeling a bit dizziness. As I approached the window, the sunlight streaming through the glass highlighted the beautiful flowers and luxurious fabrics in the room. I pushed open the balcony door and stepped outside, taking in the stunning view.

Everything was so beautiful here, yet so mysterious.

As I stood there, trying to make sense of my situation, I heard the sound of footsteps and voices coming from outside the room.

The maid returned with a middle-aged man dressed in formal attire.

"Ah, welcome back, Miss...?" He said, pausing as he waited for me to fill in the blank.

But I had no answer. I don't know this man , and everything I saw here was new to me .

As the doctor waited for me to respond, I felt a surge of panic . I don't know this body's owner name nor her past , or how I ended up in this grand mansion.

"Miss.. , can you tell me your name ?" .Doctor asked again , his voice gentle but insistent.

I shook my head , felling very nervous. " I... I don't know."

After hearing my words both of them was a little shock but try to not show it. The doctor suddenly speak and introduced himself as Doctor Everett. He was the family doctor, he said.

Then the maid stepped forward and with trying to consoling me she introduced herself as the personal maid of this body owner, her name was Sofi.

Both of them are so nice they are trying to help me so I can adjust and Clam myself.

Then with lots of courage I asked them,

More Surprise boxes

After watching Sofi leave the room, I regained my composure and asked Doctor Everett what was going on, who the woman was, why she had scolded Sofi, and where I was. He calmed me down and said, "No need to be formal, Miss. You're my master. You can call me Everett." However, I didn't agree to this, saying, "You're like my grandpa; why would I call you by your name?"

Doctor Everett looked shocked, seemingly puzzled by my response. "How could someone change so much after losing their memory?" he murmured. I noticed his confusion and spoke up, "Okay, I'll call you Dr. Gramps." Without saying a word, he nodded in agreement.

"Dr. Gramps, can you explain what's going on here? Who was she, and what is this place?" I asked, but before he could respond, someone knocked on the door. "Knock knock," the sound echoed. I replied, "Please come in." A young girl, around Sofi's age, entered and told me to get ready and come downstairs; the head of the house was asking for my presence.

I was already overwhelmed with surprises, and this new development left me lost in thought. Doctor Everett called out to me, "Miss...?" I responded, "Yes, Dr. Gramps?" He asked the young girl to leave, saying we'd be there soon. The girl obeyed, leaving us alone.

Doctor Everett turned to me and whispered, "Don't tell anyone about your lost memory, and try to be normal as much as possible. I'll explain everything to you after we're done downstairs." His words were laced with concern, and he added, "No matter who tries to offend you, please endure it. This time, I might not be able to save you."

I was perplexed by his words, and more questions flooded my mind. Who was I supposed to not offend? Why couldn't Dr. Gramps save me? What had this body's owner done? I was getting more puzzle pieces to solve, but I couldn't figure out the bigger picture.

"Miss... oh, sorry, Dr. Gramps, I was thinking," I said, apologizing for my distraction. Doctor Everett's face reflected his confusion again, and he murmured, "How can someone change so much?" I asked if he'd said something, but he simply shook his head and said, "Let's not waste more time. We need to get going."

He told me to get ready, and I quickly dressed in a hurry. When I emerged, Dr. Gramps was waiting for me, lost in thought. I called out to him, "Dr. Gramps, let's get going. I'm ready." He nodded, and we headed downstairs together.

As we walked, I admired the antique pieces around me, following Dr. Gramps quietly. The mystery surrounding my life was deepening, and I was determined to uncover the truth.

Ch 3 : Whispers in the hall

As we walked down the opulent corridor, the soft glow of crystal chandeliers casting a warm light on the intricately carved wooden panels, my anxiety began to simmer like a pot about to boil. The air was thick with the scent of fresh flowers and the faint hint of expensive perfume. Dr. Gramps walked beside me, his eyes fixed on the grand hall ahead, but I caught a glimpse of tension in his eyes. I don't know why, but from the moment I met him, I've been getting a familiar aura from him. It's like I've met him before, but where? Then, suddenly, a glimmer of the past flashed in my memory – a hazy glimpse of a young girl laughing carelessly with her grandfather. Her innocence and joy were infectious, and it hit me like a tidal wave. I was that girl once, wasn't I? I loved my grandpa with all my heart, and he was the only one who truly cared about me. He'd bring me candies and listen to my worries, his eyes sparkling with love. But... but when I grew a little older, he vanished, leaving me lost and alone. I was so small, I didn't understand what happened, and I got swallowed by the darkness of grief. As time passed, I grew up, burying those memories deep inside me. I pretended to be like other kids, happy and carefree, but inside, I was... Ah, come on, why am I thinking about the past? I should focus on the present and what's coming next.

We almost reached the grand hall, the double doors adorned with gold filigree and precious gems swinging open to reveal a sea of servants standing in line. They wore crisp, black-and-white uniforms with the family crest embroidered on their chests, their faces expressionless, but their eyes sparkled with curiosity and malice. Some were whispering to each other, their voices hushed but audible.

"...Hey, you heard something's going to happen again? What a joke, this heir is... a laughing stock. Can't even do a thing properly. You know Ms. Velvet is more worthy than her... I think His Majesty should acknowledge her instead. And the young lords don't like her either... I heard they don't get along with her."

"Hmph, who'll get along with a good-for-nothing like her? If I were her, I'd be ashamed to show my face today."

Their words stung, and I could feel their glares like drows on my skin. I was about to lose my composure when Dr. Gramps intervened, his voice stern and commanding.

"You fools! Who do you think you are, talking about your master like that? You have no shame!"

The hall fell silent, and the servants bowed their heads, their faces pale. Dr. Gramps turned to me, his eyes warm with concern. "Don't listen to them, Master. They're just foolish servants."

I nodded, a lump forming in my throat. "Thank you, Gramps."

So... who the hell am I? Why am I trapped in this body? And why are they gossiping about me like I'm some kind of...?
