The world
“Yes” this is me
In the beginning, before there was time or space, there was only Allah—the Creator of all things, the One who has always existed and who will never end. There was no Earth, no stars, no sky, no sun. There was nothing but His will, His power, and His infinite wisdom.
And then Allah decided to create.
With a command—just a single word—He brought existence into being. The heavens and the Earth were formed together as one, joined in a way only He could understand. But He wasn’t done. Allah separated them, raising the heavens high above and spreading the Earth below.
At first, the Earth was dark and empty, without shape or life. But Allah, in His mercy, shaped it. He commanded the mountains to rise, standing firm to hold the Earth steady. He ordered the rivers to flow, carving paths through the land, and He filled the oceans deep and wide. Allah prepared the Earth to be a home—a place full of balance and beauty.
Above the Earth, Allah adorned the sky. He placed the sun in its rightful place, casting its warmth and light over the world. He set the moon to shine softly at night, a cool companion to the blazing sun. And He scattered countless stars across the heavens, each one twinkling in its perfect position.
But the Earth wasn’t finished yet. Allah brought forth life. From the soil, plants sprouted and stretched toward the sky. Trees grew tall, their branches heavy with fruit of every kind. Flowers bloomed in colors more vibrant than any artist could dream.
Then came the animals. Allah filled the Earth with creatures that roamed the lands, swam in the seas, and soared through the skies. There were birds with feathers like jewels, fish that darted through the water, and beasts both great and small. The Earth was alive, teeming with movement and sound
But even with all this beauty, the Earth was still incomplete. Allah was saving His greatest creation for last. From clay—smooth, clean, and perfect—He molded the first human: Adam. He shaped him with care, forming him with hands that carried wisdom and power. And when Adam’s form was complete, Allah breathed into him the soul, bringing him to life.
Adam opened his eyes to a world full of wonders. He was not like the animals or the plants. He could think, he could speak, he could understand. Allah taught him the names of everything—names for the stars, the rivers, the trees, and all the creatures around him. Adam was special, made to be the caretaker of the Earth.
The angels, pure beings of light, were commanded to bow to Adam as a sign of respect for Allah’s creation. And they did—all except one. Iblis, a being made of smokeless fire, refused. Arrogant and proud, he believed he was better than Adam. For his disobedience, Allah cast Iblis out of paradise. Furious and vengeful, Iblis vowed to mislead Adam and all his descendants.
But Adam was not meant to be alone. Allah, in His kindness, created a companion for him: Eve. Together, they lived in a beautiful garden filled with every delight. Allah told them, “Eat freely from everything here, but do not approach this one tree. It is forbidden.”
For a time, Adam and Eve lived in peace, surrounded by the blessings of Allah. But Iblis, filled with envy, whispered to them. He tempted them, convincing them to approach the forbidden tree. And when they ate from it, they realized their mistake. Overcome with shame, they turned to Allah, asking for forgiveness.
Allah, the Most Merciful, forgave them. But as a lesson and a test, He sent them down to Earth. “You will live here,” He told them, “and your children will fill this world. You will work the land, face trials, and learn to rely on Me. This Earth will be your home for now, but you will return to Me in the end.”
And so, Adam and Eve began their lives on Earth, the parents of humanity. The Earth, with its rivers, mountains, trees, and skies, became the stage for their story and the stories of all who came after them.
Even now, the Earth spins beneath the heavens, a reminder of Allah’s power and wisdom. And as we walk on its soil, drink from its waters, and look up at its stars, we are surrounded by the signs of our Creator—the One who brought all of this into being with a single command:
