I'll Always Be Here, Waiting For You

Chapter 1: Ezekiel

Under the dim lit room, there stood a man looking all over the body of corpse that were laying not far from him.

Just seeing his cold look, one could tell that he really despised the owners of the bodies that was laying there lifeless infront of him.

He finally lifted his face and the cold look from his eyes fades away, he looked through a small window, that was the only thing that gives light to the room, and sighed.

His eyes were devoid of any emotions, as if it was empty and no signs of life could be seen from it.

From afar, could hear the lively city where many people enjoys every single second of their life without anything standing their way.

"Its finally over." he said to himself.

By saying that he slightly smiled to himself. He left the room and threw his bloody coat on the trash can and pulled out a grenade and flung it to the whole house.

*BOOM*

The sound of the grenade rang through his ears but he seemed to not mind it.

While he was walking through an isolated road his phone rang and he immediately looked at the caller's ID. When he saw that it was Aaron, he answered it.

"Hello..." he said.

There was an indistinct chuckle from the other line. Even though he could hardly hear it, he immediately knew who it was from.

His eyes widened and he abruptly said, "W-What is he d-doing there..."

"Thank you for your hard work... Ezekiel" Aaron said with glee.

"You... you used me!" he said with visible rage in his voice.

-"Ha! so what, to be honest I really didn't expect you to believe everything I've said. I thought you were very smart, but a mere few lies of mine got you hooked" Aaron said with arrogance.

"Well thanks to you, we finished the job easier. But unfortunately...you have to get lost." Aaron continued.

"YOU-" He shouted in rage. But before he could finish his words, he felt a piercing pain in his chest and he collapsed.

Blood oozed out from his chest and he coughed up blood.

Before he emerged from the depths of darkness he heard Aaron said, "Goodbye Ezekiel"

After that his eyes closed...

---

In the midst of darkness, he saw a tinge of light from afar.

Seeing it as his hope to get out of the darkness, he immediately ran towards it.

While he was running towards it, the light shone stronger and stronger in each step he made.

The time he came outside the dark, the light blinded him.

By the time his eyes got used to the light, he saw a big figure sitting infront of him. He look at the big and muscular figure lazily sitting on a majestic throne in front of him.

Some minutes passed and the man on the throne seemed to finally notice his presence.

The both of them first eyed each other from head to toe for some time and finally the man on the throne raised his hand sluggishly and said, "wassup"

Chapter 2: God?!

"wassup" the man in the majestic chair lazily said to him.

Ezekiel felt like a meteor had fallen on his head and looked at the man weirdly. 'Eh! I didn't expect someone who sits on a chair like that, act like this...' he said to himself while still looking at the man on the chair who seemed to be in his own world.

It took some time for the man to notice his presence again and said with with a lazy tone "Oh, your still there... how are yah?"

Ezekiel felt weird with his tone but still answered him "I-I'm okay..." he said while forcing a smile on his face.

Then suddenly there came an indistinct footstep that could be heard coming towards them, then is halted.

Between them they could see a beautiful woman wearing decent attire like an office secretary.

"Ehem... Mr. Ezekiel have you forgotten the fact that your already dead... so how could you be okay. Shouldn't you be freaking out at this moment like normal humans do?" the woman elegantly asked him.

Hearing her words he lowered his head and remembered Aaron. Seeing his reaction she proceeded their greetings.

"Oh I almost forgot, Mr. Ezekiel this... ummm" she paused not knowing how to describe the man who is leisurely sitting on the throne, she frowned signaling the man to sit properly and mind his action.

The man, then sat upright like an obedient child. Seeing that he now looked like somehow a decent man she continued her words. "This is the one and only... God and-" before she could finish what she was saying, Ezekiel cut her off.

"What! this... this guy is God... are you kidding me?!" he said out of surprise. No one could blame him because how could God be like this... ummh sluggish looking.

After his outburst, the man who were said to be God opened his mouth again. "Nah, believe it or not I'm your creator." he said with a lazy voice.

Ezekiel really can't believe what was happening but he chose to believe them and just asked them what was his purpose being here.

"So what am I doing here, ain't I going to hell or heaven?" he asked.

The woman looked at him again and said, "Neither."

He didn't understand what was she saying so he asked again, "What neither, are you saying that I'm going to stay here forever or... my soul had to vanish or something?"

The woman looked at him with raised eyebrow, and said sarcastically "Did I told you that? stop having stupid things running in your head. What I'm saying is, your going back down there."

"Oh, and your going to be reborn to another body though. Its gonna be though but you can do it." God said with an encouraging tone and a smile on his face.

So this means is... he's going to be given a new life to start over and live happily for once.

Chapter 3: My new life

'A life where I could live happily and carefree for once, could I really have that kind of chance?' he said to himself in a daze.

Seeing that he was in a daze, she said to him. "I know that you've had a hard time on your past life, but now its all in the past. You can't go back to change the past, but you can look to the future and don't make the same mistake twice. It is up to you whether you want to live your life happily or live a life where you'll have full of regrets."

Hearing her words, God nodded as a sign of agreeing on her and said with seriousness on his face "Its your decision and your decision alone can tell what your future holds for you. If you make bad decisions, then you'll have a sad ending. And if you make a good decision you'll have a beautiful ending. Thats how simple it can be... " he pause for some time but still maintained the gentle smile on his face, seeming to think of something hard to comprehend or reach.

Then he continued "But for some reasons...I can't help but wonder why some humans choose to pick the wrong side... well, I can't help it. Its their decision and I can't interfere no matter what. I gave that as your freedom, a freedom where you can choose freely, without anything on your way." he said with laughter on his voice. He still had that exact same gentle smile on his face while talking, but this time somehow, one could see that there was a tinge of sadness in his deep eyes.

That faint sadness made Ezekiel frown, but he still kept quiet while listening attentively to every single one of his words.

God looked upward and said "The world today is too Ironic." he paused and sighed but continued. "It takes absence to value presence, noise to know silence, and takes sadness to cherish happiness. So Ezekiel, if there is even a slight chance at getting something that will make you happy, then risk it. Life is too short and happiness is too rare. Always remember that." he reminded him while looking straight to his eyes.

" Let me teach you something,my child. There are three C's we need in life, and those are; Choice, Chance, and Change. Firstly you must make the choice, to take the chance if you want anything to change in your life. Some people these days are just sitting there leisurely while thinking of an happy ending. Well I say why don't they just live beautifully until the end. Am I right?" God asked him with a raised eyebrow and he nodded in reply.

While the both of them forgot her whole existence in the room and mindlessly talked with each other, the woman who was with them since earlier was there standing not far from the both of them silently listening.

She can't help but see the both of them as father and son talking with each other. The once named almighty God was like a fatherly figure in front of Ezekiel lecturing him.

And that mere thought it self made her chuckle. The two, who were referred to as father and son, looked at her with questioning gazes but she easily shrugged them off by saying it was nothing.

Taking it as nothing the both of them was again in their own world not minding her presence.

Some moments later she jolted her self after just remembering something very important, she ran towards them interrupting their peaceful time with each other.

She grabbed Ezekiel's arm and pulled him, urging him to come with her quickly. "Ezekiel come with me immediately, I almost forgot that today was the day your going to be reborn and you almost missed it. If you missed it, you'll be stucked here forever and if that happens, I'll be the one who's gonna take all the blame so come with me or else I'm dead meat!" she said to him.

She pulled him with so much force that got him running, with her in front of him. Her unusual strength made him frown 'How can this woman have so much strength... oh..yeah... this was heaven, so that was basically normal." he said in his thoughts.

Having Ezekiel pulled away from him, God shouted "Hey! Amara wait for me, I'm coming too." he shouted to the woman who was pulling Ezekiel.

Ezekiel heard his words, especially the name he shouted 'oh so her name was Amara, hmm.' he said to him self.

God ran quickly, trying his best to catch up to them.

Minutes later, the woman named Amara, who was running while pulling Ezekiel with her, suddenly stopped in front of a large golden door.

Ezekiel looked baffled in her suddenness and then looked at her with questioning eyes. "umm... are we supposed to enter here?" he asked, being unable to stop his curiosity.

The dazed Amara, who was looking at the door with complexe expression, jolted out of her daze. She looked at him like an idiot and said "hu-huh? oh... y-yes"

Ezekiel, who was looking at her, frowned at her reaction. She looked so tense that Ezekiel sensed that something was wrong with her. He wanted to ask her, but he knew that he was just a nobody to her, so he wasn't in the right place to pry into her own business.

He looked at her still tensed face and then just decided to get it done with. He pulled her towards the door and opened the door with his one free hand.

He could feel her uneasiness, just by touching her ice cold hands. 'is she this anxious?' He thought to himself, while frowning.

While he was still pulling her, god had caught up to them. god looked at the both of them until he caught a glance at Amara's anxious face. god's eyes widened by suddenly remembering something.

He quickly approached them and held Amara's hands protectively. He looked at Amara's clear eyes reassuringly telling her that he could handle it.

He turned to face Ezekiel and told him while smiling "Let me be the one who'll accompany you." He pulled Amara and them pushed her out of the door and told her to stay there.

Amara, who was push out without her her permission, was gradually embarrassed.

She held her head down because of the feeling that she was really weak.

god accompanied Ezekiel throughout the process of his reincarnation, and bade him goodbye after that.

He rushed back to Amara and looked at her hopeless state. " As it seems... you still can't let go of your past..." He said while looking down to face her.

Amara looked up at him, hearing his words, she forced a smile on her face. "Hmm... it... still hurts, to be honest... I-I thought that I've already let it go... but all this time, its still haunting me..." she said while tears kept falling off her eyes, but still maintained that smile on her shuddering lips, trying to say that she's fine.

God turned his back at her and then signaled her to follow him. "I know that those past memories of yours are still lingering in your head, even though you are already here on the afterlife... the pain that you felt still remains in you." god said, still facing his back at her while his hands on on his back.

Then he suddenly turned to face her."But don't let those painful memories be your weakness... instead, let it be the one who'll push you to give your best." He said to her in a very incouraging tone.

Amara looked at him straight in the eyes, and saw the gentleness in them, able to make someone feel reassured.

She decided to put her whole trust in him because, he is god after all.

Seeing that she finally calmed herself down, he continued to walk forward. He looked upward, seemingly thinking of something. "Now its up to Ezekiel, whether he's going to let his past get the best of him..." He said. Amara nodded and then she mumbled to herself silently. "Hmm... Those who suffer the most pain will rather have the most beautiful heart or... will become... heartless."
