" When the rain arrives......"

"28th June 2022, a beautiful rainy day. The scenery is lush and green all around, the sky above is cloudy, and the roads below are wet and glistening.The rain slows to a stop. Rii arrives at school, umbrella in hand. Seeing the beautiful scenery after today's rain, Rii's heart fills with even more joy."

Rii is a girl living in Jagiroad . After her mom and dad's business got settled, Rii has been living in Jagiroad with her parents for almost a month now.Today is the first day of school, and Rii is a Class 11 Commerce student. She is very excited to meet new people and make new friends.

At around 8 am, the teacher enters the class. All students take their seats, and the teacher begins taking introductions one by one.

Teacher: Now it's Rii's turn.

Rii nervously and hesitantly starts her introduction:

Rii: Hi, my name is Rii. My hobby is art. Thank you.

Student: Sir, may I come in?

Teacher: It's okay, you may enter. Since it's the first day, I'll let it slide. Next time, report directly to the principal's office. Now, come in and introduce yourself.

Their gazes locked, and for a moment, time stood still. With Rii as his sole focus, he started his introduction:

Student: Hello, I'm Ridip.

'Ridip' echoes repeatedly in Rii's mind. Has she fallen in love?

And suddenly, the weather changes, heavy rain starts pouring, and the wind starts blowing, as if the universe itself is conspiring... that they should fall in love...

Rii wants to enjoy her life, work hard, travel with family and friends, and ultimately live happily. That's all she wished for in her heart. Perhaps the universe found her wish too easy, or maybe it wants to show Rii the harsher side of life, making her work harder to achieve her desires.

Rii: "Why am I never anyone's choice? Not even an option? Why? Why? Why?"

She breaks down and starts sobbing uncontrollably in her room.

As days went by, Rii became increasingly isolated in her life. She felt lonely in class, and her family was busy at home. People in her class neither liked nor disliked her, and this indifference made Rii feel even more isolated. Eventually, Rii became surrounded by overthinking, social anxiety, and depression. Her studies also began to suffer, and she slowly started losing herself.

June 2, 2024

The rain poured down heavily today, accompanied by a sweet, gentle breeze. It felt as if the rain and wind were conspiring together, either to bring love or sorrow.

Rii thought to herself, "It feels like the sorrow in my heart has transformed into rain, and this gentle, sweet breeze is slowly bringing back old memories, washing them ashore."

As Rii walked home from the market, carrying an umbrella, a boy on a bike sped by, hitting a dog on the way. The biker didn't stop to help the injured dog but instead rode away. Another boy appeared, picked up the dog, and asked Rii for help.

Boy: "Will you help me take this dog to the doctor?"

Without saying a word, Rii quickly dropped her shopping bags and helped the boy take the dog to the doctor.

They rode together on a scooter, getting soaked in the rain. The doctor assured them that the dog would be fine soon.

Boy: "Sorry, I'll have to wait for the rain to stop."

Rii: "It's okay, I'll head home. I live nearby."

Boy: "Thanks for today."

Rii: "I'm glad I could help. Bye, puppy."

Boy: "Take this."

Rii: "An umbrella?"

Boy: "Your umbrella slipped off on the way. Use this one instead; it's still raining."

Rii thanked him, and the boy smiled slightly before saying goodbye.

As Rii walked home, she wondered, "How can someone be so kind?"

She pondered this thought until she reached home.

Her mother, Mrs. Gayari, scolded her for getting soaked in the rain and forgetting some of the shopping bags on the way.

June 3, 2024

The sky was cloudy today, with a light drizzle lingering after yesterday's heavy rain. The streets were still wet and muddy.

After everyone left the house, Rii started doing the household chores. Once she finished, she made a list of the shopping she needed to do and headed out.

As she walked, Rii reminded herself repeatedly, "This time, I'll buy the groceries and come straight home. This time, I'll buy the groceries and come straight home."

Lost in thought, Rii continued on her way. Suddenly, someone called out to her from behind.

"Hello!"

Rii heard someone calling out to her and turned around. It was the same boy from yesterday, and as their eyes met, a faint smile appeared on Rii's face. Her heart seemed to have been waiting to meet him again.

"Thank you for yesterday," the boy said, breaking the silence.

Rii's curiosity got the better of her. "What's all this stuff? Is something special going on?" she asked, eyeing the numerous items scattered around.

The boy smiled mischievously. "You'll find out if you come with me."

Rii's hesitation was brief. "Mm."

"Don't worry, you'll enjoy yourself if you come," the boy reassured her. "It will make you happy."

As they walked a little further, Rii's eyes widened in surprise. A small ground was filled with many adorable dogs and their puppies, playing and running around. When the dogs saw the boy, they excitedly jumped up and ran to him, indicating that he was a regular visitor.

"They must be very hungry," the boy said. "Let's feed them together."

Rii and the boy worked together, feeding the dogs and playing with them with affection. For the first time in years, Rii laughed with such joy, forgetting all her sorrows, if only for a little while.

"Come here!" the boy exclaimed, snapping photos and videos with the dogs and puppies. They were happily cherishing the moment.

As they sat together, the boy turned to Rii with a serious expression. "It might rain again tomorrow, and they'll have nowhere to stay. I want to build a home for them."

Rii's face lit up with enthusiasm. "Let's build a home together for all of them."

June 4, 2024

Rii's concern was evident. "But we haven't taken permission from the landowner to build the house."

The boy chuckled. "Haha, I'm the owner myself! I've already arranged all the necessary materials."

With that, they threw themselves into building the house. Laughing and playing, they managed to complete even more work in just one day.

June 5, 2024

Both of them started working early in the morning, as dark clouds gradually covered the sky. They needed to finish all the work before the rain arrived, and just as they completed their tasks, the rain started pouring down.

Overjoyed at finishing their work, the two of them began to enjoy the rain, and the dogs joined in on the fun.

Later that day, Rii's mom, Mrs. Gayari, looked at Rii's muddy clothes with concern. "Her clothes are all dirty and covered in mud! She must have been playing outside."

Rii rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Mom, you're always thinking the worst."

That evening, after dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Gayari discussed Rii's behavior.

"I don't think Rii is okay," Mrs. Gayari said, her voice tinged with worry. "She's been acting normal and even smiling to herself lately."

Mr. Gayari reassured her, "You're always worrying about something. Maybe she's just made some new friends."

As Rii washed dishes alone, a faint smile played on her lips.

June 16, 2024

Rii and the boy used to visit the dogs twice a day, morning and evening, to feed them. However, for the past few days, Rii had stopped coming, and the boy would wait for an extra hour after feeding the dogs, hoping Rii would arrive, but there was no sign of her.

The boy's grandma noticed his sadness. "What's wrong? You've been looking sad again lately."

Just then, as the boy was heading upstairs, a voice called out from above. "Hello, Granny!"

The boy's grandma chuckled. "Miss Rii, my hair isn't even gray yet, and people are calling me old!"

As he heard Rii's voice, he rushed toward her, surprised to find the girl standing before him was indeed Rii. Overwhelmed with joy, he was left speechless.

Rii asked, "How did you end up here?"

He replied, "I live here with my grandparents. My name is Anay Malhotra."

Rii's joy multiplied as she discovered his name and that he lived there too. They began feeding Doggy together, twice a day, morning and evening, and spent as much time as possible together.

Rii finally found a friend in Anay, someone with whom she could talk, spend time, and no longer feel lonely.

June 25, 2024

Rii and Anay planned to have lunch together, cooking a hearty meal at Rii's home. They worked together in the kitchen and then enjoyed their meal.

June 26, 2024

Rii and Anay headed to the park for a fun-filled day. They indulged in various foods, and Anay ran into old friends who had come with their friends. Rii and Anay joined them, and together they had a wonderful time.

June 27, 2024

Rii and Anay spent the day at Anay's home with his grandparents. Together, they prepared a feast and enjoyed playing numerous games, having a wonderful time in each other's company.

June 28, 2024

After many days of dry weather, the rain finally returned. Since Rii and Anay couldn't go outside in the rain, they spent the day playing games at Rii's home and baking and devouring cake and cookies.

"I still remember the day I first saw you," Anay said. "You wore a blue top, black skirt, and carried a blue umbrella. You looked stunning, even with vegetable bags in hand. My life was slowly being engulfed by dark rain clouds, and then I met you, Rii. You're the reason I have a smile on my face today.

"I can no longer hide how I feel – I want to be with you. And I know you feel the same way."

Anay moved closer to Rii and gently kissed her cheek. Rii's face flushed with a blush, and slowly, they both leaned in to kiss each other tenderly.

July 2,2024,Anay left for another state with his parents to work hard and build a brighter future. Despite the physical distance, they remained close, regularly calling and messaging each other, sharing every detail of their lives.

As time passed, they became busy in each other's lives. Although they couldn't spend as much time together as they used to, their love never faded.

However, as days went by, their conversations became scarce due to work commitments. Then, one day, Anay suddenly stopped talking to Rii, as if he had vanished.

Rii cried, feeling helpless and unsure of what to do next. Anay had brought happiness into her life, filling it with joy. He had taught her how to live and make friends, leaving her with only memories.

January 4, 2030

Two years had passed, but Rii still lived in memories of Anay. Ridip, a coworker, called her to confess his feelings.

"Rii, I have something to tell you," Ridip said. "I like you."

Rii replied, "Sorry, Ridip, I love someone else."

After getting rejected, Ridip said, "He doesn't love you. Two years have gone by, and he hasn't spoken to you. You're still waiting for him, but he's not coming back. I'll make you happy; stay with me and give me your love. Forget him."

Rii apologized, "Sorry, Ridip, I really love someone else."

Rii's phone rang, and she answered, "Hello?"

The voice on the other end said, "When the rain arrives this time, I'll be there with you. Just wait a little longer. I'll explain everything – what was going on in my life and what's happening now. Just trust me and wait a bit longer. Love you too, bye."

Rii's heart skipped a beat as she realized who the caller was.
