kei woke up early as usual and started getting ready for school. She's a shy, kind, sweet, gentle and caring type of girl. Because of her being a shy type she was having a difficulty on having friends.
As usual kei is just walking to school while looking down on the floor when all of the sudden, someone bumped into her shoulder. She looked up to see a young man running, the guy turned to look but never stop from running. "Sorry!" The guy shouted.
She didn't pay a lot of attention about it and continued walking. The moment she was putting her things on her locker, someone suddenly trapped her between it's arms and the locker. When she turned to look, her eyes widened, it was Arin, the girl who has been obsessing over her for the past few years.
kei’s heart pounded against her ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the suffocating pressure of the lockers. Arin’s grip tightened, a smirk playing on her lips. "You know," Arin whispered, her breath hot on kei’s ear, "I’ve been waiting for this moment."
kei’s eyes widened, fear prickling her skin. She tried to wriggle free, but Arin’s hold was firm. "L-let me go," Chae-won stammered, her voice barely a whisper.
Suddenly, a shout cut through the air. "Hey! Leave her alone!"
A figure pushed past, shoving Arin hard enough to send her stumbling back. kei gasped, stumbling out from between the lockers, her breath ragged. She looked up, her eyes meeting the concerned gaze of the young man who had intervened. He was the one who had bumped into her earlier that morning. He had dark, expressive eyes and a kind smile that eased some of her fear.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice gentle.
Chae-won nodded, still catching her breath. "Y-yes," she managed, her cheeks flushed with a mixture of adrenaline and embarrassment.
"You shouldn't let people treat you like that," he said, his gaze hardening as he looked at Arin, who was glaring at them from a distance. "I'm kiyo" he offered, extending a hand.
kei hesitantly took his hand, her fingers brushing against his. His touch was warm and reassuring. "k-kei," she replied, her voice barely audible.
kiyo smiled. "It's nice to meet you, kei." He looked at her carefully, noticing the slight tremor in her hands. "Are you sure you're alright?"
kei nodded again, trying to appear stronger than she felt. The encounter with Arin had left her shaken, but kiyo’s kindness was a balm to her bruised emotions. She realized that the day, which had begun so ordinarily, had taken an unexpected turn. This chance encounter, this unexpected act of kindness, felt like a small miracle. It was a start, perhaps, to something more.
The bell rang, shattering the moment. Jae-hyun offered her a reassuring smile. "I'll see you around, kei," he said, and then he turned and walked away, leaving Chae-won standing there, her heart fluttering like a trapped bird.
The next few days were a blur of classes and stolen glances. kei found herself constantly searching for kiyo amidst the bustling hallways and crowded classrooms. She’d catch glimpses of him – his laughter with his friends, his focused expression during lessons, the way he’d offer a helping hand to someone struggling with their books was just leaving," she stammered.
"Going home?" he asked.
kei nodded.
"It's a bit chilly today," kiyo observed, glancing at the darkening sky. "Do you mind if I walk you home?"
kei's heart skipped a beat. She nodded eagerly, a silent yes escaping her lips. As they walked, they talked about everything and nothing – their favorite books, their dreams for the future, their shared dislike for rainy days. kei found herself opening up to kiyo in a way she'd never done before, sharing her anxieties and insecurities without fear of judgment. kei listened patiently, offering words of encouragement and understanding.
By the time they reached her doorstep, the sun had dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the street. kei felt a pang of sadness as she realized their walk was ending.
"Thank you," she said softly, her voice filled with gratitude. "For everything."
kiyo smiled. "Anytime, kei," he replied. He paused, then added, "I had a great time."
kei's heart soared. She returned his smile, a warmth spreading through her chest that had nothing to do with the setting sun. she turned to unlock her door, while kiyo turned his back and walked away.
As kei throws herself at her bed she can't help but wonder... Is this love at first sight? They just met a few days ago but why do she feel this strange feeling about him already? She lay there for a moment wondering until she got up and cooked something to eat because she's starving.
As she was eating, she noticed someone was looking through her window, she can't quite see because her glasses was covered in dust so she took it off and wipe it clean.
After she put her glasses on she saw Arin looking through it looking like a psychopath with a psychotic smile on her stupid face. Due to her shock she accidentally spilled the hot noodles soup on her causing her to groan in pain
When she looked back at the window Arin was gone.
What is she up to? Is she stalking me now? She thought to herself.
To ensure her safety, she called kyo's number. "k-kiyo?..." She called out to his name. "Yeah, it's me, what's the matter?" He asked.
"A-arin... She's stalking me..." kei answered.
"She's what now?!" Kiyo said on the other line with a hint of worry. "Wait for me okay? I'm gonna come over to your house." He said.
After a while kiyo arrived at kei's doorstep, he knocked on the door and saw kei slowly opening the door.
