Eyes That Hold Secret Untold
Prologue
EYES THAT HOLD SECRETS UNTOLD
She gains consciousness like she was captivated before.
She wants to move but can't as her legs got stuck and the only thing she could see was darkness.
It was not particularly large; it had only one floor and appeared to be of an antique design. The lights were illuminated, and the window was open, yet there was no sign of anyone present.
Not able to move she again looks at the darkness and then the house...So she thought of moving towards the house and her leg traced movement.
Everything felt scary and confusing to her.
As she reached the doorstep, wind started blowing and leaves of trees falling making it look unreal as the leaves were accompanying the wind and she closed her eyes due to the strong blow of wind.
The wind was messing up her hair.
Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, she opened her eyes to find everything appearing as it normally would, as if nothing had occurred. There were no leaves to be seen on the ground or in the sky.
With a sense of confusion, she cautiously looks inside, only to find an empty hall.
With some hesitation, she stepped inside, and everything appeared to be perfectly In order, as if untouched.
She proceeds forward to examine the painting displayed on the wall.
She gazed at the painting. It depicted someone she had never met. The artwork was framed with glass, allowing her to see her own reflection.
Upon noticing someone standing behind her, she turned and let out a scream.
???
I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you.
She looks at him who looked worried.
Seher Khan (FL)
"puts hand on her chest" You scared me.
???
I am again sorry but I just came to greet you.
She gazed at him, experiencing a sensation she couldn't quite identify, perhaps a Mix of pain and warmth, or something else entirely.
His gaze was quite captivating.
Seher Khan (FL)
Do I know you?
???
That you would know better than me.
Seher Khan (FL)
Do you know me?
Although his smile seems to falter, he continues to wear the same expression.
???
That doesn't matter as you won't believe.
Seher Khan (FL)
And why won't I believe?
He contemplates...And then look at her with the same smile.
He maintained eye contact.
???
I won't tell you that, find it yourself.
He begins to proceed in the direction of the staircase.
He was dressed in traditional attire, reminiscent of the clothing worn in ancient times.
He was wearing jewelry around his neck.
Seher Khan (FL)
No one dresses like this now.
Seher Khan (FL)
Also this place looks like a Mahal (Palace) or you were inspired by ancient palaces?
She looks around as it was quite impressive but it's not the topic to discuss right now.
Seher Khan (FL)
What place is this? where am I?
She follows him as he wasn't answering her questions.
Seher Khan (FL)
Where are you going?
He didn't say anything but just entered a room.
He extends a rose in front of her as soon as she enters the room.
Seher Khan (FL)
First tell me-
Seher Khan (FL)
"Takes it"
Before she says anything he takes out something from the cupboard.
She opened it and inside it was a gold heart necklace.
???
If you want I can make you wear it.
She felt like it happened before (déjà vu)
That moment froze and she was paralyzed.
He takes chain from her hand making her wear it.
She couldn't move even if she wants to.
Her eyes fell on the frame on the side table but before she could see it clearly, he held her hand taking her to reality.
Seher Khan (FL)
Why are you so concerned that I like it or not?
???
Because your choice matters and if you don't like it...I can change everything.
He made her look in the mirror.
She was wearing a completely different dress.
???
You are looking beautiful like always.
Seher Khan (FL)
Like always?
He kneels down in front of her.
???
May I have the honour to dance with you?
He lowers his head and extends his hand, waiting for her to place her hand in his.
His presence is giving her peace.
Even if her body is not recognizing him, her soul is reacting to his every actions.
She places her hand on his hand.
He made gestures like he is dancing with someone.
For a while, he danced with himself making her frown and look at him with pure confusion.
He was drenched in rain but still smiling and dancing.
With the utmost care and gentleness, he held her hand, as if any less would cause her harm.
He looked at her hand in his...He was pleased to see their hands intertwined.
He refrained from requesting anything further of her, finding contentment in simply holding her hand.
She felt something...A strange pain in her heart.
And suddenly a voice captured her attention.
???
Lag ja gale ki phir yeh hasi raat ho na ho~ 🎶
He made her look at him while still holding her hand.
She could see something in his eyes.
She saw herself in his eyes.
Seher Khan (FL)
"Try to look closer"
She saw him and her smiling while looking at each other.
In such a close and intimate Manner.
Eating together...He was feeding her.
Seher Khan (FL)
"frown being confused"
He had tears in his eyes and his smile was long gone.
Her heart aches seeing him crying even though she is meeting him for the first time.
He suddenly starts disappearing.
Tears dropped through her eyes and her heart aches.
There was something he was trying to explain to her.
Seher Khan (FL)
Where did he go?
She looked at the frame closely...It was a portrait.
Seher Khan (FL)
"eyes widen"
It was her and a man...She was in the wedding outfit.
Seher Khan (FL)
"speechless"
Seher Khan (FL)
"open eyes"
She found herself laying on bed
A man was holding her hand.
Seher Khan (FL)
Where am I?
Therapist (Susan)
You are back in 1990.
Therapist (Susan)
You traveled to the past around 1600-1700 maybe.
She remembers coming to a therapist with her husband.
She is having a dream about a particular place and a vague person.
That person haunted her and that place made her feel shivers.
The therapist looks at her husband and then at her.
There were tears in her eyes and her heart was pounding.
Therapist (Susan)
Are you ok?
Seher Khan (FL)
"takes a deep breath"
Seher Khan (FL)
Who was he?
The therapist takes out cards and spread them on the table.
Seher Khan (FL)
What are these?
Therapist (Susan)
Cards...I can feel an unkown energy.
Therapist (Susan)
And he is not a bad soul.
Therapist (Susan)
You two will meet as your strings are pulling each other's souls towards themselves.
Seher Khan (FL)
What was his name?
Therapist (Susan)
I can't find that.
Therapist (Susan)
No one can love you as he does, your destiny cards are pulling you towards him and he is waiting for his love to enter his life. His soul is craving to meet yours, I can see a strong impact of someone in your cards like asking you for himself.
Feeling heavy she held her chest and she felt something on her neck. It was a necklace,
same as he made her wear.
Seher Khan (FL)
This necklace?
???
You purchased it from a shop.
She takes a deep breath not able to process.
After showing the therapist she never saw him...But they died in a car accident in 1997.
And from here starts a new journey of life.
Can this happen that the past affects your present and future?
And there is someone who wants you to be his in
every breath and love you more than anything in the
world, that his soul craves to be with yours and
you two are meant to be together even if you are
not together?
"Love is a puzzle that can never be solved, only felt."
Is it really a dream or premonition?
"Maybe in another life , but what if this is another life."
The night was unusually still. Moonlight spilled into the room in pale silver streaks, brushing against the carved walls and settling softly on the bed. A gentle breeze slipped through the balcony doors, stirring the curtains like restless spirits whispering secrets they weren’t meant to tell.
A woman’s silhouette hovered near the darkness—neither fully present nor entirely absent. Her figure was blurred at the edges, as though time itself refused to claim her.
She stood facing the dark.
Not the kind of darkness that came from the absence of light—but the kind that watched back.
The chamber behind her glowed faintly, lit by rows of oil lamps fixed into carved stone walls. Their flames trembled, throwing restless shadows.
She didn’t know how long she had been standing there. Time felt distorted here—like it had folded in on itself.
A soft breeze brushed past her, stirring the silk of her saree. The fabric was heavy, richly woven, clinging to her body in a way she had never worn before—yet it felt familiar. Natural. As though this was how she had always existed.
Behind her, a voice spoke.
The voice was male—deep, strained, trembling with something between fear and longing. She had heard it before. Many times. Always like this. Always calling her from behind.
She was no longer standing. She was seated on the bed, its rich fabric warm beneath her fingers. The air felt heavier now, thick with an emotion she couldn’t name.
He stood a few steps away, partially hidden in shadow. The flickering lamps revealed only fragments of him—broad shoulders and tilak on forehead.
She tried to see his eyes.
No matter how close he stood, no matter how desperately she searched—his face remained blurred, distorted, like a memory refusing to take form.
He reached for her hand, his touch deliberate, grounding, as though he was anchoring her to reality. His other hand hovered protectively over her belly, reverent, cautious—like the slightest pressure might break something precious.
He knelt before her, resting his forehead gently against her skin.
Her belly was rounded, unmistakable—life blooming beneath her heartbeat.
???
What do you think? Is it a boy or girl?
???
When will the baby come into this world?
Her hand automatically lifted to caress that man's cheek.
She observed a pair of distinct eyes watching them from a distance, and then suddenly, all light sources, including the candle🕯and the oil lamp extinguished.
???
Let me light a candle.
Metal slicing through air.
She felt it before she saw it.
She tried to scream, but her throat closed...She couldn't say anything...As if she lost her voice. A presence stepped closer—unseen, unnamed. Her breath hitched as terror wrapped around her spine like ice.
A sharp, brutal pain tore through her abdomen.
Her body jerked as something cold plunged into her stomach.
Blood spread across her saree like spilled ink, dark and unstoppable. Her knees buckled as her strength drained away, the world tilting violently.
Footsteps echoed.
Someone laughed—low, cruel.
A shadow loomed behind her.
Her vision blurred. The last thing she felt was the man catching her as she fell, his arms tightening around her, his voice breaking as he screamed her name—
She gasped, sucking in air as though she had been drowning. Sweat clung to her skin, her heart hammering violently against her ribs. The room was different now—simpler, quieter, painfully real.
Her body had goosebumps...She was feeling cold...Chills.
Tears drop her eyes without her even knowing.
She puts hand over her chest as her heart was racing wildly like it's running in a marathon.
The dream refused to fade.
It clung to her like a shadow, whispering questions she wasn’t ready to answer.
Was it only a dream?
Or a memory that hadn’t happened yet?
Seher Khan (FL)
It almost felt real.
Seher Khan (FL)
Who is that...Man?
Seher Khan (FL)
"Looks beside her"
She shouted a name and a lady came in her room with a plate of fruit.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Kya hua? (What happened?)
Seher Khan (FL)
Tujhe pata hai...Mujhe akele sone se bure sapne ate hai toh tu kyun gayi? (You know... I have nightmares from sleeping alone, so why did you go?)
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
I woke up early so I went downstairs to eat something.
She sat down beside her getting into blanket as it's cold outside. Aisha takes a piece of grape 🍇 eating it.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
You had the same dream?
Seher Khan (FL)
"Nod being fazed"
Seher Khan (FL)
This weird dream and...Feeling of restlessness.
Seher Khan (FL)
That's why I told you to sleep with me.
Seher Khan (FL)
I experience sleep paralysis when I sleep by myself.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
What about when I won't be here after marriage?
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Will you be afraid to sleep alone for the rest of your life?
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Why don't you get it checked?
Seher Khan (FL)
Ammi said it's just a dream.
Seher Khan (FL)
She said she gets dream of failing in test or forgetting something almost everyday.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
I get dream of getting late for school quiet often.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
It's normal.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
But your condition is not normal.
Seher Khan (FL)
I think...There is a spirit on me.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
"Laugh"
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Thand dimaag mein chadh gayi lagta hai. (Cold has gotten into your head.)
Seher Khan (FL)
It's...I can't explain.
Seher Khan (FL)
I see a man in my dreams...His vague figure.
Seher Khan (FL)
Like there is something heavy on my chest.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Did you ever see his face?
Seher Khan (FL)
"Shake head"
Seher Khan (FL)
But...He had a tilak on his forehead and also an om 🕉 sign on his back.
I once saw it vaguely.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
That means he is Hindu.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
And Abbu will kill you for even dreaming about a hindu boy.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
But why Hindu...Are you reading about Hinduism now? Or you have someone on your mind?
It sounded more like a mockery than genuine concern, and I saw her look in her eyes.
Seher Khan (FL)
I know my family...Why would I take that risk? I know I am not religious like you but...I know what is possible and what is not.
Aisha focus on eating diverting topic.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
It's just a dream...Don't think much.
Seher Khan (FL)
But...Dreams come true.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Then I might be falling from a building right now.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
Aisha...Umar is here.
Looks doesn't matter?
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
Come fast.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
You have to do shopping for the engagement.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
"Eyes Seher" If anyone ask why Aisha is getting married earlier than tell them that I want to continue my study.
Seher Khan (FL)
"Look at her"
Seher Khan (FL)
Why can't I tell everyone that they choose her instead of me?
Seher Khan (FL)
Because Aisha is prettier than me and they think I am possessed-
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
Seher...I told you, It's your imagination.
Seher Khan (FL)
I told you-
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
Tum chahti ho sab hamaari peeth peeche baatein banaayein. (You want everyone to talk behind our backs.)
Seher Khan (FL)

Nusrat Khan (FL mom)

Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
We can’t control people's mouth...Stop acting like a maniac.
Seher stood up and went to washroom because fighting with her is of no use.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
Everyone will talk about this...I hope it doesn't affect in her marriage later.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
People will think that she has some fault.
Aisha Khan (Fl sis)
Don't think much Ammi.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)

Seher hears them from bathroom...She definitely feels bad.
But she can't do anything with the way she feels.
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
I told her to go to pir (Saint) and tie a taweez. (Charm)
Nusrat Khan (FL mom)
I told her to put on some weight...She looks like a stick.
Seher came out of washroom and left without saying anything.
She has been used to such talks since childhood because people think she is weird. She once told her mother that she sees strange things, and feels something strange but her mom told her that she doesn't and to not tell anyone. Her mom gave her a thread, which she lost.
Nothing changed...She just started living like this.
