A new neighbour?
The sky is clear. The sun shines bright. The sweet chatter of the birds can be heard faintly. As the clock struck 7 o clock and the sun rays caress her face, she slowly opens her eyes. Her eyes are soft and tender. The way she looks proves her innocence.
She stretches her arms and gets down from bed. She wears her soft pretty pink slippers and walks upto the calendar in her room. She takes a pen from the pen stand placed on the table. She strikes out the date of yesterday and sighs.
Chen Yue
(Sighs.) Today is the last day of holiday. I have to go to school tomorrow! 😔
From outside, a woman calls her out.
She knocks the door gently.
Aunt Li
Yue, are you awake? If not wake up soon and fresh up. The breakfast is ready.
Chen Yue
I will be there in twenty minutes, mom!
Then she brushes her teeth, takes a bath and gets ready.

She goes to the dining table and sits down. The table is filled with food.

That is because a new neighbour moved into our apartment.

Go get it from the fridge.

Yes. Love you mom.
Aunt Li

She grabs the cake from the fridge. She sits and takes a bite.

Now, go give it to them. (handing the cupcakes)

And don't say them that their cake is bad.
Aunt Li
Call her Aunt Ling. Okay?
She goes out and climbs down the stairs. She rings the bell. After about ten seconds someone opens the door.
Chen Yue
Hello, Aunt Ling...
