Silent AFFAIR~
Chapter : 1
"An affair doesn’t start with betrayal—it starts with distance, silence, and a longing for something missing."
Chapter 1
– Cracks in the Mirror Scene 1: Alessandro & Bianca (The De Luca Household – Night)
Alessandro De Luca
"Again, Bianca?" (Alessandro sighed, rubbing his temples as he loosened his tie.)
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca stood near the kitchen counter, arms crossed.)
"I wouldn’t have to ask if you actually answered your phone when I called."
Alessandro De Luca
I was busy." (His voice wasn’t sharp, but it carried exhaustion.)
Alessandro De Luca
"Work is stressful enough—I don’t need to come home and feel like I’m in an interrogation."
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca exhaled, lowering her arms.)
"I’m not interrogating you, Ale. I just—" (she hesitated, choosing her words carefully.)
"I just want to know what’s happening in your life."
Alessandro De Luca
(Alessandro ran a hand through his hair, his frustration simmering but controlled.)
"I know. I just… don’t want to talk about work all the time, Bianca."
She studied him for a moment. He wasn’t yelling. He wasn’t slamming doors or throwing accusations. He was tired. And maybe… maybe she was too.
Bianca De Luca
"Fine," (she said softly.) "I just miss you sometimes, that’s all."
A flicker of something—guilt?—crossed his face. He didn’t reply, just walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. A small, almost hesitant touch.
Alessandro De Luca
"Get some sleep. We’ll talk tomorrow."
Bianca De Luca
(As she watched him walk away, Bianca couldn’t ignore the nagging feeling in her chest.
Tomorrow never seemed to come.)
Scene 2:
Matteo & Valeria (The Romano Household – Night)
Mathew Romano
(Matteo leaned against the bedroom doorframe, arms crossed. His gaze was heavy as he watched Valeria sit at her vanity, removing her earrings.)
Mathew Romano
"Are we ever going to talk about this?"
(His voice was calm but laced with something deeper—tiredness, disappointment.)
Valeria Romano
(Valeria didn’t look at him.) "Talk about what?"
Mathew Romano
"Us. The way you act like I’m just another person in this house."
Valeria Romano
(She sighed, rubbing her temple.) "Matteo, please. I just got home—can we not do this tonight?"
Mathew Romano
"That’s the thing, Valeria,"
(he muttered.)
"You’re never home. Or if you are, you act like you’re somewhere else."
Valeria Romano
(She turned to face him, exhaling sharply.)
"You knew who I was when you married me. I didn’t change, Matteo—you just expected me to."
Mathew Romano
(His jaw clenched.) "No. I expected you to at least try."
Valeria Romano
(That hurt. But she refused to let it show.) "I do try."
Mathew Romano
"Do you?" (His voice was softer now, almost cautious.)
Valeria Romano
(She turned back to her reflection.) "I don’t have the energy for this."
Mathew Romano
(Matteo’s expression darkened. He let out a short, humorless laugh.) "Yeah. You never do."
Silence stretched between them. Not angry, not loud—just hollow.
Matteo exhaled, shaking his head as he grabbed his pillow from the bed.
Mathew Romano
"To sleep in the guest room. I don’t feel like sharing a bed with a stranger."
Her fingers twitched against the wooden vanity, but she didn’t stop him as he walked out.
She told herself it didn’t matter. That it was just another fight.
Valeria Romano
(But as she sat there, staring at her reflection, she felt something crack inside her.)

Alessandro De Luca
(That night, Alessandro lay in bed next to Bianca, staring at the ceiling, wondering when their conversations had become so… lifeless.)
Valeria Romano
(That night, Valeria sat alone in front of her mirror, wondering why she didn’t feel as guilty as she should have.)

And somewhere, in the quiet spaces between their doubts and frustrations, a door was about to open.
A door that should have remained locked

Chapter 2 – The Fragile Threads
Scene 1:
Breakfast at the De Luca Household
The scent of coffee filled the air, mingling with the subtle tension that never truly left the house.
Lorenzo De Luca
(Lorenzo sat at the table, scrolling through his tablet)
Emilia De Luca
(While Emilia played with her spoon, tapping it against her bowl.)
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca moved around the kitchen, placing a plate in front of Alessandro.)
Bianca De Luca
“Are you coming home early today?” (she asked, keeping her tone neutral.)
Alessandro De Luca
(Alessandro barely looked up, focused on his phone.) “I have work.”
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca scoffed softly, crossing her arms.) “You always have work.”
Alessandro De Luca
(Alessandro finally glanced at her, his expression unreadable.) “I provide for this family, Bianca. If I don’t work, who will?”
Bianca De Luca
“That’s not the point, Alessandro. I know you work hard. But if you wanted to, you’d make time.”
Lorenzo De Luca
(Lorenzo’s eyes flickered between them, sensing the shift. He silently pushed his chair back.) “I’m done. Can I go?”
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca sighed, nodding.) “Take Emilia with you.”
Bianca De Luca
Once the kids were gone, she turned back to Alessandro. (“You make time for the things you care about.”)
Alessandro De Luca
(His jaw tightened.) “That’s not fair.”
Bianca De Luca
(She didn’t argue. What was the point?)
Alessandro De Luca
(Alessandro stood up, grabbing his coat.) “I’ll be late.”
Bianca didn’t ask where he was going. She already knew she wouldn’t like the answer.

Scene 2: The Romano Household
Mathew Romano
(Matteo adjusted his watch as he glanced at Valeria, who was standing by the mirror, fixing her makeup.)
Mathew Romano
(He had a meeting soon—so did she. But somehow, he was the only one making an effort to sit down for breakfast with their son.)
Mathew Romano
“I told Niccolò we’d have dinner together tonight,” (he said casually.)
Valeria Romano
(Valeria didn’t look up.) “I have a meeting.”
Mathew Romano
(Matteo exhaled through his nose.) “So do I, Valeria. I rescheduled.”
Valeria Romano
(She finally met his eyes through the mirror.)
“Well, I can’t.”
Mathew Romano
“No,” (he said, ) voice calm but sharp. “You won’t.”
A knock on the door interrupted them.
Nicoló Romano
(Nicolò peeked inside, hesitation in his eyes.)
Nicoló Romano
“Are you guys fighting?”
Mathew Romano
(Matteo softened, kneeling to his son’s level.)
“No, buddy. Just talking.”
Nicoló Romano
(Niccolò turned to his mother.)
“Can we still have dinner together?”
Valeria Romano
(Valeria finally turned, giving him a small smile.) “Next time, tesoro.”
Mathew Romano
(Matteo clenched his fists, jaw tight.)
Mathew Romano
(How many times had she said that?
How many times had he believed it?)

Chapter 2 – A Dinner Invitation
Scene 1: Bianca & Valeria (A Café – Evening)
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca stirred her coffee, glancing at Valeria, who sat across from her, scrolling through her phone.)
Bianca De Luca
"You’re always on that thing," (Bianca teased.)
Valeria Romano
(Valeria smirked.) "Says the woman who used to text me during lectures."
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca chuckled.) "Fair point."
Valeria Romano
(Valeria set her phone down.)
"You know, it’s been a while since we all had dinner together. The kids haven’t met in some time either. Why not tonight?"
Bianca De Luca
(Bianca’s face lit up.) "That’s a great idea! Alessandro and I will come over."
Valeria Romano
"Perfect. I’ll let Matteo know," (Valeria said, taking a sip of her coffee.)
As they chatted about other things, neither of them realized that tonight’s dinner would be the first step toward something neither of them saw coming.
"Betrayal doesn’t begin with a touch; it begins with a conversation that should have never happened."
