You stood strong as the instructor walked on toward you after insulting potato girl. He glared on you as he walk past. You were surprised. He didn’t insult you? Then again he passed so many other people too. “ Oi what’s your name?!” He yelled. You looked to your right. Your best friend stood saluting to the instructor. “ (f/n) sir!” She yelled. “Why are you here?”. “ I wanted to be here sir on behalf of my family and friends!” She squeaked. Keith flicked her forehead. “ Bad excuse”. He moved on. You gulped. That ended better than you had expected.

You shuffled on the hard dirt, heading to the eating block where a lot of the other cadets had gathered. You looked to the sky. It was hardly dark but stars still started to shine. Your had just changed to your comfy clothes and weren’t to keen on making any friends. Your best friend ditched you and went for this guy named Armin. Tears formed in your eyes. “ Hey shut up!!” The silence broke with that yell. You went down the side of one of the buildings and saw a large guy towering over a smaller one with ash brown hair. He was shorter than the other but would still be taller than you. The larger guy pushed the other. You wanted to do something. You had to. “ Stop it damit!” The smaller guy yelled. You threw a pebble near them and it hit the ground not so far away. The larger guy looked toward it. He had an unusual expression on his face. He walked toward it leaving the other guy standing awkwardly watching him. Quickly you grabbed the hand of the Ash brown haired guy and ran with him behind another building. You stopped, let go of the guys hand and sighed. “ uh thanks?” The guy said. You looked to him. “My name’s Jean” he continued. You brushed your (h/c) locks from your face. “I’m (y/n)” you said, grinning. “Jean?! Are you out here?!” A boys voice called. “Shit Jean cursed. “Coming Marco! Stop being impatient!” You giggled. Jean turned. He smiled softly. “Nice meeting you (y/n)”.

He ran off. You blushed lightly. ‘Jean’ you thought ‘What a nice guy’. He reminded you of one of your old friends who had died in the attack on Shinganshina. Tears formed in your eyes thinking about them. You smiled though. They were in a better place now, way better.

You stared down at your meal. Disgusting you thought. You were sitting at an empty table with your best friend sitting with armin still. You sighed and looked the other way. Your heart skipped a beat. Jean sat smiling too his friend. “ Yeah ok I saw the big guy!” A brunette boy said. “What?!” “You heard me”. You ignored the conversation. “Hey are you crazy or something?” A familiar voice said. It was Jean. “Not That it’s any of my business but signing up for the survey corps is kinda like your death sentence” he continued. “I guess we’ll see, or at least I will, you seem like your stuck on the interior” the Burnett said. “Look I’m just speaking honest with you kid but being a loud mouth wannabe doesn’t mean your not pissed scared like the rest of us” Jean replied. “Are you trying to pick a fight?” The brunette boy said glaring at Jean. You had had enough. You stood up quietly. “Excuse me” you started standing in front of Jean and the other boy. “May I get through please?”. The brunette shrugged. “Sure”. You pushed in between them and headed outside. You weren’t a fan of fighting and would rather be safe than sorry. Not getting hurt was your number one priority, well at least on the first day.

You sat on one of the benches outside of the girls dorm. Yesterday wasn’t what you had expected. You sighed. Someone tapped you on the shoulder. You jumped and turned around. A brunette girl stood there holding a potato? At least that’s what you thought it was. Next to her was a boy who was bald and was grinning from ear to ear. “Why are you alone?” The girl questioned. You paused. “My best friend ditched me for a guy” you said quietly. “Oh” the boy said “That would suck!”. You looked at him. “Uh that was the wrong thing to say, Sorry” he said. “I’m Sasha!” The brunette said happily. “And I’m Connie!” The boy said. “(y/n), nice to meet you Connie and Sasha” you replied. “Cool name!” Connie chuckled and sat down next to you.Sasha did the same. “Sooo” Sasha started “Any crushes?”. She grinned menacingly. Your face turned red. “Uh, um” you muttered. “Ooh someone’s got a crush eh” Connie whispered. Your face turned redder as you thought about Jean. “Please tell us!” Sasha pled. “Jean...” you mumbled. “That guy?!” Connie said, surprised. “ Cool!” Sasha approved. You blushed harder. You had only met him yesterday but felt some kind of way toward him, plus you didn’t want to upset Sasha and Connie, they we’re basically the only friends you had. “We were going to go check out this place, wanna come?” Connie bellowed. You nodded.

You looked around as Sasha talked about her home town. So far you, Connie and Sasha found the training areas, shower block, school block and were now headed in the direction of what looked like stables. As you neared it was definitely the stables. A horse neighed loudly. “Hey you were right (y/n)! These are the stables!” Connie said. Sasha’s face lit up. “Horses!? There my faveorite animal!” She squealed. As you entered the building, Sasha pushed past and went and hugged a random horses head. You giggles. So did Connie. You walked toward a white horse and stroked its head. It’s mane was silky and soft and looked like it had been taken care of. It dipped its head so you could reach properly.

(Back at the dorms)

You smiled as Connie told terrible jokes but they still seemed funny since you hadn’t heard a joke in years. Sasha banged her head against the table you were sitting at. There weren’t many people in the eating block but you had still gone there because it was quiet. “Oi horse face!”. Connie, Sasha and you jumped. You all turned around. The boy from last night was cursing at Jean. You gulped. “Uh, I’m not good at dealing with situations like this otherwise I would help” Connie sighed. “Same” Sasha replied. You sat up straight. You were good at dealing with situations like this, also you were great at fighting but didn’t think you’d need it if you helped Jean from that brunette. You started to get up. “Woah, are you seriously going to stop the fight?!” Connie stressed. You nodded. “Uh well, good luck?” Sasha gulped, worried. You nodded again. “Why the hell did you do it Jaeger?!” Jean yelled. “Because you annoy the hell out of me!” The other guy shouted. “So stop being a little- “Oi!!” You yelled over top of them. They both turned to you. “Stop it!Stop being a nuisance both of you!”. “A nuisance?” The brunette questioned. “What the hell?! Why are you calling me a nuisance lady!? You kicked the brunette in the ribs and he dropped moaning on the ground. All of the cadets in the room gasped. You ignored there gaze. You leant down to the boy. “Had enough?” You asked. He grunted. “No” he answered. Quickly you kicked him again but this time he grabbed your leg and tripped you. You didn’t hesitate. You punched him in the face and kicked him once more. “Eren!” A feminine voice called. You looked around. An Asian girl ran toward you, she was pissed. She tried to kick you but you grabbed her leg and pinned her down. You knew the brunette was to beaten up to help her. “What did you do to Eren?!” The girl growled. “I taught him a lesson” you whispered in her ear. You got up and walked out of the building. Sasha and Connie followed. “Woah (y/n) your a badass!” Connie exclaimed. “Um thanks?” You said. You felt quite pity full after beating up the brunette. Maybe you left a bad impression. Maybe you left the impression to not mess with you. But that was for everyone else to decide.
