Chapter 1:

(Kei is a 16-year-old boy living on the outskirts of a village in a forest.) “Why’d

you have to leave me so soon.” Kei covers Gran’s face. “Don’t worry I will make

your wish come true.”

The past few days Kei lives of the food that is left in the house, but he is

beginning to run out, so he makes the decision to travel to the capital of

Stiones.

There’s just one problem though, his eyes are the colour of Emeralds. If people see his eyes they’ll know he’s an Emerald clan survivor and they might turn him in, to the guards.

(13 years ago the Emerald clan was the highest and

mightiest clan, but the Ruby clan was overwhelmed with jealousy and assassinated

the entire Emerald clan. Or so they thought... O_O )

So, he can’t risk getting caught. Luckily for him his best friend’s dad owns a magic shop down by the village.

The next day Kei meets up with his best friend Shun.

As they lay on the cool green grass they start to talk.

 “So, Kei what are you planning to do now that you don’t have anywhere to stay?”,

“I’m going to the capital. There is something I must do.” Kei looks to the ground gloomily ,“...but I can’t let people see my eyes.”

Shun sits up straight. “That ain't a problem, I’ll try and sneak out some magic lenses from my father's shop." (They can change the colour of your eyes.)

He rushes off without saying another word.

Later that day Shun returns with a pair of magic lenses and throws them to Kei,

“Here take this.” Kei, with a confused look on his face.

“...but, what’s that on your back, you look like a turtle.”

Shun grins and a sly smile spreads across his face.

“I’m coming with you bastard. Who knows there might be a lot of cute girls along the way.

Besides, you know my family doesn't really like to be associated with me, so I’m

doing them a huge favour.”

So, the two of them sleep for the night, and set of

on their journey early the next morning.

-----Somewhere else in Stiones--------

[ In the middle of the night Rin runs away from home...the guards are chasing after her... it’s a high-speed chase.

She tries to outrun them by using magic to enhance her skills, but she spots some lights up ahead.)

Rin suddenly wakes up, “Judging by the sky it’s currently late at night",

“What a horrible memory.”

Akito yawns, turns around and faces Rin. He’s clearly not fully awake.

“Rin are you okay?”

Rin smiles, “Yeah just a bad dream,

c’mon get some sleep now.” she tucks Akito into bed again,

“I’m so glad we met, I would’ve been so lonely without you these past few years.”

(Rin has a flashback of how they met.[Continue from where the guards were chasing her.]

Rin follows the light and it leads her to a village.

“I didn’t know there was a village here, it’s my lucky day!”,

She rests in the village and replenishes herself. The next morning she decides to explore and look through the town.

While walking through the town’s

main street she witnesses a fight.

A small boy was being beaten up by

what seems to be an owner of one of the stalls. The grown man yells.

“You brat! You thief! This is the third time this week I catch you stealing my food!”,

the man kicks him in his chest and with a *bang*, the boy falls to the ground

and some food falls out of his pocket. The man proceeds to go in for another

kick, but…

Chapter 2:

Rin swoops in and stops the man," Little girl, why do you interfere? You should know your place; girls shouldn't get caught up in fights." he tries to push Rin away. Still, with her magic ability that enhances her skills, she is ten times as strong as the man. The man is astonished to see her incredible power, while caught up in this mess Rin accidentally reveals her face from under her hood. “Sir, I think the boy has learned his lesson. You best leave him alone, or trouble may come." The man backs off but mumbles something in a low voice, while he walks away. Rin turns around to help the boy only to find that he has passed out from the last kick by the man. She picks him up and turns around only to realize a crowd has gathered around them. Rin stopped in motion and thought to herself. “This is terrible I'm currently on the run. My family can't find out about me," she quickly puts her hood back over her head again and runs off with the young boy. Rin finally finds a shady tree in the forest near the village, "This should do for now." Rin places the boy in the shade under a tree, a few moments later, he wakes up and is startled by Rin, "Don't worry, you're okay now.” The boy suddenly remembers what happened, “Thank you for saving me back there." Rin, staring off into the distance, “It’s no big deal, but what were you doing stealing food from his stall?" The boys' mood suddenly drops, “Well, you see, I don't have any other choice; otherwise ill starve to death. My parents both left me on the street to die because they didn't want a member from the Amber clan to be part of the family."

"So Ruby clan must be great. You get everything you want. You never have to worry about anything.", Rins' mood suddenly changes. She starts to get angry," Don't associate me with them, I hate them, that's why I ran away from home."

"Why would someone from the Ruby clan hate their own clan so much?" "My father tries to use me. I'm the second eldest sibling in my family, but I do better than all my brothers and sisters. My father always pays attention to the others and buys them everything they want, but he is very strict towards me. I ran away because I don't want to be his puppet, my dad is, after all, the one that planned the assassination against the emerald clan 11 years ago."

"I understand now, your situation makes much more sense, but how are you gonna hide now, the villagers already know your someone from the ruby clan, and you can’t wear a hood everywhere you go."

"Haha, don't you know the ruby clan has multiple magical abilities?"

"Yes, I envy you, all the other clans only have one magic ability: Sapphire (The second mightiest)– healing magic, Diamond(The third mightiest) -creation magic, Amber (The fourth mightiest)-nature magic, Amethysts (The lowest-ranked )- telekinesis or teleportation, and lastly Ruby (The mightiest clan)- have two or more magical abilities."

"Wow, kiddo, you are very knowledgeable, just because you knew all that I’ll tell you what my abilities are." "Firstly, I have creation magic like the diamond clan. Secondly, I have enhancement magic, and thirdly, the one that'll help me disguise myself; transformation magic."

"No wonder your dad was so obsessed with you, you have a lot of magical power."

"Yeah, I guess, so kid."

"Hey, stop calling me that I'm only two years younger, and besides, my name is Akito, not Kid!"
