Alice had recently moved to the city.
This was the first time she was living alone without her parents.
Being a countrygirl she did not have any friends in the city.
And for her workload she didn't have the time to make friends either.
She had rented an apartment in the heart of the city.
After a long day at work Alice finally came back home. She was waiting for the elevator.
So was another girl who she had never seen before.
Alice
Umm....if you don't mind me asking. Which floor do you stay in?
Maya
5th floor. What about you?
Alice
I actually moved here quite recently. I still didn't greet any of my neighbors. Sorry for my rude behavior....
Maya
No worries. I know the workload in the cities.
Maya
It is difficult to get free time.
The elevator had came down by then.
Alice
Are you from around here?
Maya
Nope. From the countryside actually.
Maya
That's nice. What is your job?
Alice
I am a software designer actually....
Maya
Now you won't believe this but me too.

The elevator had reached the 5th floor. The two women stepped out.

Maya
I haven't really got friends in this city....busy working you know.....
Alice
Yeah.I know right..same for me

Glad to have you as my neighbor.

Finally somebody of my age

Hahaha....yeah most people in this building are pretty aged.

Yeah...never understood why though...

When did you move here? I didn't actually see you when you moved into this apartment.
Alice
About a week ago....

How long have you been living here?
Alice was a bit shocked to hear that.
Maya was no way older than 25 years.
Then did she stay in this building since she was a teenager?
Alice thought that maybe she lived here with her parents at first.
Then they probably moved away.
Alice

Maya went to the kitchen.
Alice was sitting in the sofa.
Now she noticed something
The apartment wasn't really clean.
Alice
*Looks like Maya doesn't really clean a lot. The house is pretty dirty. Even the flowers in the vase have dried*

*Maybe she doesn't get much time. She seems to be very busy.*
Maya came back with the coffee.
Alice
Thank you very much.
Alice
I really needed a cup of coffee right now.
Maya
Yes I know. There is nothing more relaxing than a cup of coffee after a long day at work.
Alice
Yes. After a long tiring day at work. A cup of coffee and Netflix is what you need to relax. Nothing beats that.
Maya
I agree. That's what I do most of the days.
