Another regular day has passed no cases of anything had occurred. The past months have been peaceful and relaxing, both Wei Ying and Lan Zhan had been bored. For Wei Wuxian, he's been slowly dying out of boredom, the emotionless Lan Wangi didn't express anything. The other assumes he was bored out of their mind as well.

"Lan Zhan what should we do today?" "I want to get rid of this boredom!" The man whines and groans impatiently wanting to know what the other says.

"Mn." The white male agreed in a response.

"Ugh! Anything is fine!" "Anything you want as long as it gets rid of this diabolical boredom!!"

Hanguang-Jun hesitates for a while the other only stare making the gentle man hesitate even more. After what seems like forever he finally responds indifferently.

Lan Zhan, "Wei Ying." "Let's sleep it's 9 o'clock."

Wei Ying, "It's 9 already?!" "But I'm not sleepy!

Lan Zhan let's wait for a little more!"

Lan Zhan, "Time to sleep."

Wei Ying, "Aaaaaa!" "Don't want to! Don't want to!"

Right after he rejects the idea of sleeping he quickly gets carried away by the man. Wei Ying pouts like a child right when he saw how the other is flustered he knew right away what he meant.

Wei Ying, "Oh, you want to do it now.."

Lan Zhan, "Mn"

Wei Ying, "Aaah! B-but we already did it this morning!" "Don't you get tired of so much exercise?"

Lan Zhan, "Never."

Wei Ying, "Waaah!"

The man quickly paces faster to their room, Wei Ying blushes, even more, the reason why he doesn't want to do it isn't that he's tired of it. In fact, he enjoys it a lot it's just every time Hanguang-Jun goes crazy in bed, he can't help but want more and more. He doesn't want to pressure Lan Zhan if he doesn't want to. But now that he knows he wants it more than him he can't help but feel excited. Now that Wei Wuxian knows the sudden urge, his second thoughts vanished in thin air.

Once they enter their room the two quickly undressed each other's shirts. The lovebirds slowly and passionately made out in bed. The atmosphere felt so lewd and incredible, ocean eyes gaze at the golden ones.

"Mmm, Lan Zhan give me more."

"Yes."

The sweet kiss was poison with love, the two could no longer hold back. They began their first course then their second one and third one., and so on. The two peacefully slept right after their night activity, the loving couple snooze, and cuddle like never before. Hours had passed it was still the middle of the night, no one should be awake at this hour. No junior students nor strangers, everyone should be asleep. But one person didn't sleep at all.

"Mm? What's that sound?" Wei Ying opens his eyes and hears the sound of a door being knocked. Lan Zhan noticed the sound as well, perhaps they were that tired they started hearing things?

"Lan Zhan, we are definitely not hearing things." "Someone is outside could it be a prankster?"

"Let's check."

The two quickly got out of their room the door began to bang louder by the second. Whoever it was they sounded very desperate. Wei Ying was the first to open the door, a young male stood behind the entrance. He looks youthful and ignorant, his eyes were a mix of honey color that matches his dark hair. A red mark laid on his forehead, he wore simple loose golden pajamas. The boy looks worried but mostly annoyed.

"Jin Ling?" Wei Wuxian was surprised to see his nephew in front of the door more like he wants to know why in heavens is he out so late at night?!!

"Fairy is missing!" "I can't find her anywhere!" Jin Ling shouted and glared at the man in front of him.

"Eh? I'm sure its somewhere around. What about your uncle?" The mention of Jin Ling's dog frightened him to an extent. No way will he go out there to find that vicious dog!

Jin Ling, "He'll chop my legs if I don't find her soon!" "Fairy been missing for days! Days I say!"

Wei Ying, "Why haven't you told me about it sooner?"

Jin Ling, "I...I thought I could find her myself.."

Wei Ying, "Pfft, any typical child would think that way."

Jin Ling, "What did you call me?!!" "You want to fight?!!"

Wei Ying has no choice but lets the child in, where would he go next is beyond question. With his personality, he could end up on the other side of the world! Jin Ling enters and notices how the other two are shirtless, he can't help but feel disturbed.

"Why are you half-*****?!!" He shouts in disbelief, Wei Ying realizes the awkward situation he chuckles nervously.

Wei Ying, "It's super hot in here! Super hot!" "I started melting and sweating! Oh, poor me!" "The air conditioner stop working!" "Heat problems!"

Jin Ling, "You're crazy! It's cold out there!"

Wei Ying, "The weather is crazy today isn't it?"

Jin Ling, "What's with those huge red marks?!!" "The heck is th--."

Wei Ying, "Mosquito bites! Huge mosquitoes out there!" "Right Lan Zhan? It's crazy out there!"

Lan Zhan, "Mn."

Jin Ling, "Hmph! I have been calling you for the past hours!" "Fairy would be here now if it wasn't for you!"

Wei Ying, "Calling? I never received such calls!"

Lan Zhan, "Wei Ying the whole day your phone has been ringing."

Wei Ying, "I thought that was Jiang Cheng spamming me about the body pillow he bought on MoBay."

"Body Pillow?" "You're lying! My uncle isn't crazy like you!" The teenager shouted while the other laugh in secret. This kid knows nothing of his uncle! Once he sees the stack of pillows he has he will surely freak out!

"Your missing dog isn't some serious case! It'll be back!" Wei Wuxian thought this whole scene is too dramatic for it to be a real case. If it involved murder or trafficking he would surely investigate the crime right away.

"Fairy could've been killed! I have evidence! Lots of evidence!" Right, when Jin Ling shouted the word "evidence", Wei Wuxian had no choice but to listen.

Jin Ling, "For the past days, Fairy has been acting strange like she was possessed! Instead of biting others, she was biting me instead! One night Fairy jump through the window after finding her she was cover with blood! Days after that I keep finding her all beaten up! She couldn't move at all! Now that all of that happened she went missing!" "Someone is trying to kill my dog!"

Wei Ying, "Had you told your uncle about it?"

Jin Ling, "He's busy with work unlike you!"

"I still don't know." "It sounds serious...but I don't know." This matter sounds drastic but his trauma of dogs is making him hesitate. He rather search a certain donkey over a dog.

"You! That's it I'm calling my uncle!!!" Jin Ling yelled in frustration the other flinch in response. The quiet Lan Wangji sat beside his beloved, he was silently falling asleep quietly snoring. His snores were no regular loud sounds, it was the softest sound you ever heard of.

Wei Wuxian didn't want his nephew to call his uncle. Not after last time, one day the teenager asked him to find an object he wanted. Wei Ying was too lazy to complete one of Jin Ling's requests in consequence a grumpy man came out of nowhere and unleash his Zidian. One hit of the belt threw Wei Ying across the floor, the powerful belt hit him straight on his butt. The poor man had a bad ache after that, Lan Wangji massages his soft buttocks. The white man couldn't hold it anymore and quickly made love to the butt aching male. The next day his backache throb so badly he couldn't walk at all, he wishes he could fly instead.

"No need! No need!" "Alright, XianLock is on the case!" A case hasn't happened in a while a missing dog could finally get rid of this boredom. XianLock and LanJohn are back again!

"What's with the ridiculous name?!" Jin Ling cringe so hard he started growing wrinkles. He might start aging quickly!

"Children shouldn't interrupt the adults!"

"LanJohn let's go!" Wei Wuxian grabs his coat and shoes, ready to go to an adventure and hunt!

"Wei Ying it's 3 in the morning." Lan Zhan reminded him indifferently. The other sigh in disappointment time is truly his enemy! It goes slow when he's bored and goes fast whenever he's on a case.

"Tomorrow it is!" The male announced while yawning, he quickly threw Jin Ling in the guest's room and immediately pounced on the bed beside Lan Zhan. Tomorrow would be the day to start on an exciting case! The universe finally answers his prayers! Wei Ying snuggles against the sleeping Lan Zhan ocean eyes slowly shut down. The hunt awaits him tomorrow.

Wei Wuxian sat in his desk a stereotypical detective would be sitting and smoking a pipe, calmly touching their chin to think. Eyes close and ears wide open to listen to the victim's case. But no pipe was held in Wei Ying's hand, instead, he drank a small glass of Emperor Smiles to help him think. The quiet Lan Zhan stood in a corner with his arms cross. Golden orbs were shut and close.

"When was the last time you saw Fairy?" Wei Ying casually asked the interrogation had just begun.

"In the bathroom." Jin Ling quickly responded he was impatient and anxious.

"How the heck did it get out?" The male kept on asking the other basic questions.

"The window." Both Lotus Pier and the Jin Group are connected to each other. Since they are allies the two form a great business. Jin's mansion is like any other luxurious place, with the finest furniture and clothing. One time Wei Ying and Lan Zhan went to their place for business, during their visit the man had the urge to pee right when he entered the bathrooms. His mouth hangs open, Wei Wuxian didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Shiny and golden furniture is too unnecessary for a bathroom! For heaven's sake, it's a toilet! All you do is pee or do number two! Typical rich people would spend amounts of money to decorate a bathroom!! He's not sure which bathroom Fairy went, some of them had the finest large glass windows while others. remain empty.

Wei Ying, "Any suspects?"

Jin Ling, "Jingyi"

Wei Ying, "Why him?!!"

Jin Ling, "He stole Fairy's chicken wing more than twice!"

Wei Ying, "You sure it's not the other way around?"

Jin Ling, "Nonsense!!"

Wei Wuxian doubted his evidence it made no sense at all! Jingyi hunts Fairy over a plate of chicken wings?!! Seriously?! Even if it sounded ridiculous he still has to interrogate the suspect. What kind of detective would he be if he just simply ignores this matter! He won't be like those lazy cops who can't even do their jobs. In this world, only a few people take their jobs seriously, and Wei Wuxian is one of those few.

"Fine, Lan Zhan where is Jingyi right now?"

"School."

"A couple of hours left then we can pick him up."

The juniors and disciples go to Gusu Academy where they learn and hunt. Learning Lan Quiren's boring rules and hunting quests. The school is a high educational place many students are willing to go there, not simply just there but other academies as well. The Jiang and Jin Academy are also known for their successful business and education. So are the Nie and other schools. For some strange same reason, Jin Ling didn't attend school today either because of the case or he already finishes all his work. Either way, there shouldn't be an excuse.

After hours of waiting the three went to Gusu Academy to pick Jingyi and Sizhui up. The place was only a few blocks away from their residence. A few turns here and there was no big deal for them. They arrive and waited for everyone to leave, they heard the bell ring meaning school sessions were over. Students and juniors calmly got out from the glass doors walking all the way to the polish gates. Each of them belongs to the Gusu Residence like they were a part of some clan. Wei Wuxian saw how some walk and others rode their bikes, soon enough he heard familiar voices from a distance.

"Crap! My chicken wings!!" "Sizhui! I wasted so much money on a box of wings!  Just so they can fall like that?!!"

"We have leftovers at home you can eat them there."

"What about my money?!"

"Well--."

"There you two are." "Jingyi." "Sizhui." "How long are you going to take?" Wei Wuxian cheerfully said. The others couldn't help but smile. The youthful Jingyi almost drops his wings again. Now that they're all ruined he might not want to eat them anymore.

"Mr. Wei!" "Hanguang-Jun!" The two quickly pace towards them. Jingyi notices how one person glare at him like they were about to throw him off the world.

"Jingyi!! I know you're behind this!!" Jin Ling shouted at the male with frustration.

"Behind what? What are you talking about?" He couldn't help but cringe at the other who acted like a grumpy girl. Sizhui only smiles and chuckles awkwardly.

Jin Ling, "Don't play dumb! So what if Fairy loves chicken wings more than you?!"

Sizhui, "Mr. Wei, what does he mean?"

"Well first let's go back and I'll explain everything." Wei Wuxian said while the others follow them to their car. It was a simple drive it shouldn't take long for them to arrive at their place. But for three youngsters it lasted a lifetime, while Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian acted all lovey-dovey the three behind their seats felt like third wheels. It was an adorable scene but for Jin Ling and Jingyi they cringed to an extent, Sizhui only smile and looked away. Small wrinkles began growing on Jin Ling's face, the other's face was aging up. The reason why they felt disturbed isn't that they are homophobic, the reason behind it is simple. They are still young to know what love is.

After what seemed like forever they finally arrived. The group casually enter the place and went into the interrogation room. The first suspect was Jingyi, Wei Ying explained the incident and how Fairy went missing after that. Jin Ling nodded like a bobblehead while glaring at the innocent teenager.

"What!! Do you think I would do something like that?!! Jin Ling, now you're just throwing assumptions!" He couldn't help but feel ridiculous about the whole situation. All he wants is to relax and eat his chicken wings. However, not even the universe lets him, what's wrong with wanting to eat your favorite snack?!!

Jin Ling, "You kept nagging on Fairy!" "Admit it!"

Jingyi, "Hmph! Your dog is fine! Your overreacting!"

Jin Ling, "Fairy is important!"

Jingyi, "My chicken wings are important!"

Jin Ling, "Fairy is more important than that dumb donkey!"

"Woah! Little Apple is precious!" Wei Ying started debating while the others debated as well. Wei Wuxian pulls a projector and started his slideshow of Little Apple how precious he is. Most of the images were too blurry to see, the closeups frames were mostly showing their huge teeth. Another picture showed the donkey eating Wei Ying's hair and another revealed him being kicked by Apple. Jing Ling replace his show with images of Fairy. Simple images of the adorable husky and a few other of Fairy chasing Wei Ying. Jingyi's frustration rises to the top, he tackles Jin Ling and shoves pictures of his chicken wings. Images of different types of wings, some were from Boogle and others were cursed images of Jingyi choking on the snack. It was that cursed you could see the censorship in it.

"Wei Ying, case." The quiet Lan Zhan reminded Wei Wuxian why everyone is here.

"Right, thanks, Lan Zhan." Wei Wuxian was about to continue but before he could the other two got up and argue even more.

"No one cares about your fat dog!" Jingyi shouted so loudly spit flew across Jin Ling's face.

"Fairy isn't fat! Your fat!" "Just look at you with that big box!" The teenager rudely pointed at the messy Jingyi eating the wings that fell from the ground.

"Don't you side shame me!" Jingyi accidentally spitted portions of chicken on the other's face. Jin Ling screech so hard a few windows cracked.

"I'll get the rag." Lan Sizhui quickly went to the kitchen to fetch the item.

Wei Ying, "Hmm, Lan Zhan what do you think of this?"

Lan Zhan, "They should learn how to not spit on others."

Wei Ying, "I meant about the mystery."

Lan Zhan, "Someone might be behind this."

Wei Ying, "Either they wanted to target Fairy or someone is trying to get Jin Ling's attention." "You know how he doesn't get along with the others in his residence." "He causes a lot of trouble enough to annoyed someone to cause this."

Lan Zhan, "Mn."

Wei Ying, "LanJohn you're so smart!" "We should share minds once in a while!"

Lan Zhan, "Mn."

The two kept on being lovey-dovey Wei Wuxian couldn't help but admire at the handsome Lan Wangji. In Lan Zhan's mind, only Wei Ying filled his empty brain. Wei Ying this and Wei Ying that, dirty thoughts of Wei Ying. Everyday meaning every day, Feeding Wei Ying, what to cook for Wei Ying, cuddle Wei Ying. Carry Wei Ying marry Wei Ying again and again. So much Wei Ying thoughts!

While the two chatted they completely forgot about the juniors. In the background Jin Ling and Jingyi kept on fighting, tackling, and choking each other. Jingyi throwing his dirty chicken wings and Jin Ling freaked out. Sizhui ran with the wet rag but accidentally slip on the snack and fell. The other two gasp and fought like wild hyenas, blaming each other for making the kind Sizhui tripped.

They were all interrupted by the sudden sound of a dog barking. Right when the sound came everyone quickly followed the barking. Opening the door and searching for the mysterious noise. They ran as fast as they could ending them in a forest. The more the noise shifted away the farther they went.

Sizhui, "Could it be Fairy?"

Jin Ling, "No, it sounds too raspy!"

Jingyi, "How can you tell whether it's your dog or not?"

Jin Ling, "It's Fairy we're talking about!"

The barking came back to the group, everybody immediately chases the pitch. They got closer and closer to a certain bush, the sound was loud and clear. The dog is right behind this big bush. Wei Wuxian quickly uncovers the bush. What they see is beyond belief.

A dog was the one behind the bushes, and a small friend laid frightened.

The sounds had stop and the bush began rustling. The more it rustle the more curious you get. Since Wei Wuxian had a fear of dogs he stood behind Lan Zhan tightly grabbing his shoulder without a thought of letting go. He quickly grabs a stick and pokes at the living bush. The more he poke the more a certain teenager got impatient. After a few messing around, Jin Ling loses it and impatiently uncovers the plant. The one behind this was obviously a dog, in everyone's disappointment, no sign of Fairy was there.

Wei Ying, "Ah! D-dog!" "Lan Zhan! Save me!"

Jin Ling, "Hmph! Fairy isn't here! Just some savage dog!"

A small fuzzy pup began to growl and shriek even more, who would have known that the beast's howling came from a small pup! Its dark eyes glare at a certain direction then glance back at the strangers. Once it saw Wei Wuxian it immediately started charging towards him with its vicious growl. Wei Wuxian couldn't help but panic no matter the size of the dog all of them were feared by him. Before he could run away a white man quickly quiet the grumpy pup down. One single glare and the pup immediately felt intimidated. Whines came out of it and little by little step back.

"Sit." Lan Wangji indifferently said the other quiet down and obey the man's command.

One command and the dog obeyed without moving a single muscle. Lan Wangj told Sizhui to quickly move the pup somewhere else. After that Wei Wuxian got back to his senses he notices a small figure a white fuzzy tail wiggled out of its hiding place. A pale pink nose sniffs out after a while it came out. Dark glossy eyes glance around after sniffing a little more, it went back to the bush and came out with another one. Two rabbits sniffed and moved around. One is white as snow and the other has pure dark fur. The black rabbit stayed behind the white one like it was being protected by the white one.

"Haha! Rabbits!!" "Lan Zhan! Look!" Wei Ying grabbed the dark fur lifting it up from the air. The little one noticed how it was separated and quickly swung its paws in the air. Wei Wuxian wanted to pet it but the rabbit looked frightened and anxious. He noticed how the white one gaze at him indifferently. After teasing it Wei Ying quickly put the rabbit back.

Both Lan Zhan and Wei Ying witness how the two animals snuggled against each other.

"We find a pair of rabbits but no sign of Fairy!!" Jin Ling yelled in frustration while the other two only stayed quiet.

Wei Wuxian, "What do you expect? For your dog to fall down the sky? Maybe they grew out wings and flew away to the heavens!"

Jin Ling, "Fairy wouldn't run away without a reason!" "

Jingyi, "Who do you think would do such a thing?!" "By now it could be on the other side of the world!" "Dog trafficking!"

Jin Ling, "How about I sell you in exchange for Fairy!"

Sizhui, "That wouldn't be good."

Wei Ying, "Jin Ling, every time Fairy came back beaten up how long did it take?"

Jin Ling, "Only an hour."

Wei Ying, "How was her condition?"

Jin Ling, "Beaten to a pulp!"

Wei Ying, "Had Fairy ever bite others? Anyone from your residence?"

Jin Ling, "Only when she can't find me."

Wei Ying, "You said she looks exhausted out of energy right?"

Jin Ling, "Yes."

Wei Wuxian, "Hmm, Fairy was running away from what? Or could it be possible that it didn't want to get caught?" "From what and where?" "Taking an hour every day to come back...looking horrible...hmm..." "The blood where is it usually located?"

Jin Ling, "The mouth down to her neck!"

Wei Wuxian thought and thought, if someone is trying to kill their dog they would've done it long ago. One hit and off Fairy goes, if the suspect wants the dog dead then they could have easily done it. If the person didn't want to get caught wouldn't it be smart not to alert the owner? Or this could all be a show to get Jin Ling's attention, what would they want from him? Is it revenge? But why target an innocent Fairy over Jin Ling? Sick admiration? Attention? Some sort of scheme? Who knows there could be a twist behind this all.

"Jin Ling, definitely someone is wanting your attention." "They target Fairy to get to you and just how they planned it's working for them." "Whoever it is must be stopped!" Wei Wuxian explained his theory, the teenagers were astonished and shocked. Lan Zhan remains quiet as usual and agreed with Wei Ying.

"That's scary sick!" Jingyi exclaimed while glancing around making sure no killer was around.

"Once I find Fairy I'll make sure Fairy chomps them into pieces!!" Jin Ling proudly threatened and cursed at the mysterious person.

After hours of searching and finding no clues at all the group was exhausted to do more. They search around the forest in case they find any clues of the Missing Fairy. But sadly not even a scrap was found. They went to other places where Jin Ling thought Fairy could be. Back home again, the blooming bridge, a clear scented lake, and so on. Anywhere where she could be, Wei Wuxian even questions those who have nothing to do with this. Interrogating and testing all the suspects. Those on the list immediately thought this whole thing is ridiculous and a waste of time while others did their best to remember if they ever saw any sightings of Fairy.

"What's the point of this?!!" "I can't believe I'm wasting my time with this!!"

"Um...let's see...I think I did saw that dog near

a food market several times before going missing but I doubt it."

"Nonsense! Jin Ling how dare you assume such things!" "Why would I waste my time on your dirty dog?!!"

"Hmph! How ridiculous!" "Can I go now?!!"

"Hmmm, sorry I don't remember seeing Fairy."

"Stupid!!"

"Case? What kind of case is thing?!!"

"Ridiculous names!" "I'm out!"

"Maybe it ran away! With another dog! Hahahaha!"

"Hmph! These people are useless!!" Jin Ling's nostrils flame out the smoke of annoyance. Every interrogation was a waste of time or so the teenager thought.

For Wei Wuxian, he felt like a puzzle was missing. A couple more clues could solve this case in no time, but since several puzzles were still missing how could they form the last piece? Someone is targeting Fairy and it wants to get Jin Ling's attention. The dog coming exhausted and bloody every day, drained out of energy. Taking time to come home again and again. Who could be behind this? Or what? What motive? For another person to figure this out most would give up and do posters instead of searching on their own. Some would quit and complain while others would have no clue where to begin.

They were all back to their place, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan sat beside each other. Jin Ling, Jingyi, and Sizhui were in the kitchen eating their plate of snacks. Wei Wuxian stroke his chin and thought while Lan Wangji stood silent and stared at the male.

Wei Ying, "Hmm, Lan Zhan I think whoever is behind this isn't a person but a thing."

Lan Zhan, "Why so?"

Wei Ying, "I feel like it is but I can't prove it yet." "If someone really is doing this then what they gain is nothing."

Lan Zhan, "Mn."

Wei Ying, "Lan Zhan, what if it's a ghost behind all this?"

Lan Zhan, "Why so?"

Wei Ying, "Ah, I'm just guessing now. It's starting to give me a headache!"

Both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji had solved several cases. They face difficulties and clues that didn't make sense but after so much searching and thinking the two could solve the puzzle! They had solved the most difficult cases out there, the police take months to years to solve a case, but for the duel, it takes days to weeks. The main reason why most go to them whenever there is a case or in trouble. After there miracles, people began calling them XianLock! The smart detective! And LanJohn! The quick skill man! The two working together create a mastermind! So why is it hard to find one simple dog? For others, they would find this ridiculous if the smartest detective can't find one dog. Maybe it's the lack of how easy the task is, too easy it becomes hard to solve.

Wei Wuxian felt dumbstruck by the lack of "difficulty" only a day has passed and yet he feels like he failed. He's aware of it what makes him more worried is that if Jiang Cheng finds out he will surely blame him and throw Jin Ling in the sky for not being responsible. He shivered by the image of his Zidian belt purple and shiny. One hit from it and you can feel the awful pain. When Jiang Cheng goes full force you fly against a wall! How terrifying! Lan Wangji saw how Wei Wuxian was upset, he was about to comfort him but a loud noise came from the kitchen.

"Jin Ling! Why are you throwing my food everywhere!"

"Jingyi! I still think you're the one behind this!"

"If I was then how would I deceive you?"

"Fairy has been acting strange once she saw you that day after school!" "She was perfectly fine when I walk her to your school!" "But now she's going crazy!"

"Eh?! What does that have anything to do with me!" "It's not my fault your dog hates me!"

Sizhui, "Jin Ling, I understand you're upset but I think it's unfair to assume Jingyi is the one behind this."

"I know! But who can I suspect?! Jingyi is the most suspicious one of all!" "I can feel it!"

"Well, your intuition sucks!" "Tell it that it's wrong and that I'm innocent!

Right after the argument, more loud noises came from the kitchen. A huge ruckus was caused, Jin Ling and Jingyi were fighting again. They threw food at each other and fought like toddlers on the other hand Sizhui did his best to separate the two.
