There’s a knock in Jaeboem’s door. He was sitting on the floor, lifeless. He didn’t want to get up. There is still knocking in his door. He tries to cover his ears not wanting to listen to any sound. But the knocking still continued. “ I know you are there, my son. Please open there” his father said. Hearing this he shouted in anger “You are not my father”. “Please son come back with us. Let’s live together as a family” he pleaded. “ Family” Jaeboem chuckles. He couldn’t believe what he heard. “who are you calling a family?” he answered fill with hatred. “I have made many mistakes and I know it. But if you are willing to forgive me, I will try my best to make you happy” he said in a soft voice. “Please come out” he begged again. “ I don’t need a father or a family. You can live with your wife and children” he answered in a voice filed with anger and pain. “ please don’t say…” gets interrupted by Jaeboem “ All my life you were never there for us. You were never my father then, now or in the future. So, leave otherwise I will call police.” His father leaves hearing this.

He looks at afar in his room, There’s a photo at the top of the table. “Mom ……. Why did u leave me?” He gets emotional. “ I wish I knew that you were suffering all alone. I am sorry mother for being a bad son. All your life you have worked hard for me. Why didn’t I know? I am sorry” he cries in pain. His phone rings. He ignores the call. Then after a while he gets message. “I know you are having a hard time, but I am here for you. I want to meet you. Please come to the cat café. I will be waiting for you. I will wait till you come.” He reads the messages. He gets up and grabs a jacket. He is wobbling while he is walking.

While walking he sees a woman similar to his mother figurine. He starts chasing her. The traffic lights are green. The woman was crossing the road when suddenly a speeding car comes. Jaeboem hurriedly runs and pushes her. He gets hit by the car and he was injured badly. A huge crowd gets gathered. “Are…. y.. you okay m..mom? he whispered with difficulty. After that he says, “why am I feeling sleepy?” and he slowly closes his eyes. He gets taken to the hospital. “He is badly injured. We need to perform surgery. Prepare the operating room, Min” doctor hurriedly says. Jaeboem is taken to the operating room. The doctors were operating on Jeaebom, his heart rates start to drop. The monitoring machine starts alarming. “ Get ready to perform defibrillation” the doctor says. He applies gel pads in correct position: One pad on upper chest, below the right clavicle. “Clear” the doctor says before the defibrillation. He continued to perform the defibrillation but there’s the alarm starts beeping in the monitoring machine indicating Jaeboem has no plus or heartbeat. “He is dead at 10:36 pm” the doctor said in a sad tone.

Suddenly, Jaeboem opens his eyes. But he cannot see anything as the sun was, shinning very brightly. He looks around. “Where am I?” he wonders. He starts working aimlessly when he stops suddenly. “This is not me” he says while looking at a mirror in a mirror shop. He gets confused “What happened to me? I look like a child” and starts touching his face. He is dressed in a ragged cloth. He wonders around. “All people are wearing clothes that are old fashion. What is happening?” he thinks. While walking around, a huge man grabs him by the hand and drags him. “You think I will let you off easily. You need to work to live.” Jaebeom tries to run away but the man’s grip was tight. “Don’t struggle.” The man pulls him. “How do I get away from him” he thinks. Then, Jaebeom steps on the man leg and runs as fast as he could. But he gets caught after by the man. The man grabs and throws Jaebeom. He goes closer to him and says, “you can never get away from me” in a very mocking way. Jaeboem gets scared. He doesn’t know how he get here and all he wants now is to run away from the man.

From afar in the carriage Duke Lucas Avem was watching. He is one of the strongest forces in the nation. He is a retired knight. He used to be friends with the late emperor as they learned fighting together. And he taught the emperor and his knight on how to fight.“Bring me that child” points at Jaebeom. His loyal subordinate named Henry Covas looks confused. “I know what you are thinking. He wants to live,I can see it in his eyes. He is perfect for this job”. Then, henry goes to the man. “Baron Richard, our lord wants this child. How much gold coins do u need?” he asked. Baron Richard, who is a greedy man asked for 10,000 gold coins. Henry stares at him as he asked for 10,000 gold coins. “He is just 11 years old. You can mold him in any way you want.” He hurriedly answers. Henry just gave the gold coins as his lord ordered him to.

He takes Jaeboem with him in the carriage and Jaeboem just follows him. He goes inside the carriage. The carriage starts to move. There is silent inside the carriage. “Boy! What’s your name” asks the Duke. In a small voice he answers, “I am Jaebeom”. “I have never heard anyone with this name. Your name is peculiar” he says. “Cause, I don’t belong to this place” he says in his mind. He understood that somehow, he got to this place and from here he can’t return back to his home. He doesn’t look disappointed as he knows no ones there for him anyway. But he looks worried as he don’t know what they were going to do with him or what will happen to him.

The carriage after moving for a while stops at infront of huge mansion. When Jaeboem comes out his eyes wide opened. “I have never seen such a huge mansion” he thinks. “Henry, help the boy to get him clean and get him some clean clothes and bring him to the study room.” Duke Lucas says. “Yes, my lord” Henry answered. Duke Lucas went inside and Jaeboem followed Henry. Henry orders the servant to help Jaeboem bath and to give him some food and clean clothes. As per order he was given clothes and was taken to dining hall. Suddenly, he hears a loud noise like something thrown. “What is this? You! stupid people don’t know that I don’t like sweet things. The soup is cold.” A small girl was shouting and throwing things to the servant. The servants are trembling in fear. “What are you doing Amabilia? I asked them to make the sweet deserts as your sister like. “ Says in angry voice. There Jaebeom sees another little girl and a woman sitting and eating. Amabilia stared at her little sister in anger.

She then throws all the food and everything in the table on the ground. “Rosa are u okay?” asks in a worried tone. “ I am okay father.” She answered. “What are you doing, Amabilia? Go to your room.” Orders the father. Amabilia stomps in anger. “What is wrong with her? She is so arrogant and aggressive” Jaeboem thinks. “I can’t stand her, David. Do something, about her. How long do we have to tolerate this?” The woman says in angry manner. “ I can’t do anything right now. You know this Luna.” He answered in a distressing manner. Luna holds Rosa’s hand. “Let’s go Rosa” she says and walks in an angry manner. David follows them. “Bring some food for this child” the butler says. Foods were bought and given to Jaebeom. After he finished eating, he was taken to Lord Lucas Study room.

Inside the study room, Duke Lucas can be seen looking at some documents in serious manner. “Lord, Jaeboem is here” says Henry. He stands up and sit in the couch and asks Jaebeom to sit. Jaeboem is scared and sits in a timid manner. In a serious tone, “From now on your duty is to protect Amabilia” he says. Jaeboem looks confused. He thinks, “ I don’t think I can protect that child. I mean everyone is scared of her. “I don’t think I can protect anyone.” Jaebeom says. Hearing this Duke Lucas frowns. Jaeboem hurriedly says “ I mean I am a child myself and I don’t think lady Amabilia needs protection.” Hearing this Duke Lucas says “Oh! So, you have seen how she behaved.” Jaeboem doesn’t say anything. “Don’t forget that I brought you so do as I say. All you need to do is protect her. From tomorrow onward you will be trained, to be a knight” he said in a tough manner. Hearing this he gets scared. “For now, it’s better not to make him angry” he thinks.
