"Darling, we'll be meeting soon. You're already seven months in Mama's tummy!" Yasmine said softly while caressing her bulging stomach.

A white Fit and Flare dress clung perfectly to her body. Despite her bulging stomach, Yasmine still looked youthful and beautiful with her stable weight.

Yasmine was just a lucky orphan. Two years ago, she married the leader of a large company, Evander Christophe.

Today, they would celebrate her seventh month of pregnancy at a five-star hotel.

The event would start in an hour, but Yasmine was not allowed to leave the room.

"Where's Evander? Why isn't he around! I better look for him!" The woman muttered, finally daring to leave the room.

Arriving at the lobby, Yasmine was confused as to why there were no guests, nor any Christophe family members.

"Where is everyone? Why are you cleaning up this ballroom? Isn't the event about to start?" Yasmine asked one of the cleaning waiters.

"The Christophe family's engagement party is over, Miss. You must be late! The hosts just left, they must have just reached the Lobby!"

Yasmine was shocked to hear the waiter's explanation. Yasmine was really confused, how could her seventh-month celebration turn into an engagement party. And again, who was getting engaged?

Out of curiosity, Yasmine immediately walked quickly out of the Ballroom.

In front, the Christophe family consisting of her mother-in-law and her sister-in-law. Yasmine then looked ahead, and she saw the back of a man she knew very well, Evander.

"Evand!" Yasmine called out, half-shouting.

The man who felt his name being called turned around. Evander Christophe, he was a young CEO, leader of the Christophe group.

Not only Evand, but the woman next to the man also turned around, as did Evand's mother and sister.

Yasmine was really confused, seeing the woman next to her husband. She was wearing a bodycon dress that matched the man's shirt.

"Poor Yasmine! Your husband just got engaged to Shovia Brooklyn, a top actress!" Her sister-in-law said.

Yasmine walked towards the man who was still her husband. "Evand! Isn't today our event?"

Evand seemed completely innocent!

"You will still be my wife, Yasmine! And you will still be the mother of my child!" Evand replied, as if his marriage to Yasmine was just a game.

"A poor girl, don't demand too much! You're lucky my son is willing to take you in!" Madeline, Evand's biological mother, replied cynically.

Yasmine was already immune to the insults that came out of Madeline's mouth. If Evand usually dared to oppose his mother, this time what made Yasmine hurt was that Evand didn't defend her at all.

"Whatever your reason, I still don't want to share a husband, Evand! You better choose, me or Shovia?" Yasmine firmly challenged.

Evand stared sharply at the woman who usually obeyed him, now changing to disobey.

"Don't be excessive, Yasmine! I've already explained, you're still my wife! My marriage to Shovia is just for business!" Evand snapped.

And again, for the first time in two years of marriage, Evand snapped at her.

"Evand, I don't have much time! We should take care of our marriage certificate immediately! Because I will soon go abroad to shoot commercials!" Shovia said.

"Ah yes, honey. You better go soon! Let me take care of this woman!" Madeline replied.

Shovia wrapped her arm around Evand's shoulder, then pulled him away. Before leaving, Evand looked at Yasmine without feeling guilty.

"I beg you Evand, don't go! I love you, Evand! Remember our love!" Yasmine held the man's hand.

But quickly, Madeline and Yoshi held Yasmine's hand to let Evander go.

"Don't make a poor woman's drama!" Yoshi snapped.

"Let go!" Yasmine rebelled, she threw off her mother-in-law and sister-in-law's hands and then walked quickly to catch up with Evand.

Before she could take a step, a foot suddenly blocked Yasmine's path, which eventually made the woman fall.

"Akkhhhh!!!" Yasmine shrieked in pain. Fresh blood came out from her lower area through the gap in her legs.

Everyone was shocked including Evand. The man let go of Shovia and ran to Yasmine.

"Yasmine! Are you okay?"

"Evand, our child?" Yasmine cried.

Seeing Evand starting to worry, Madeline and Yoshi immediately helped Yasmine.

"Son, you go! We will take Yasmine to the hospital! Shovia, quickly take Evand away!" Madeline ordered.

Shovia immediately obeyed and pulled Evand's hand. Even Evand obeyed and left Yasmine.

"Evand, don't go! Evand!" Yasmine shouted hysterically calling the man who had entered the car.

The next second, at the same time as the car disappeared, Yasmine's vision began to darken.

"The patient is hemorrhaging severely! Quickly inform her husband! Her condition is critical!" The doctor looked panicked in the operating room.

Yasmine lay weakly with pain in her stomach. Dimly, she heard the conversation between the doctor and the nurse attending to her.

"The baby's heartbeat is gone! We must deliver the baby immediately, because the patient's condition is critical!"

Yasmine tried to open her eyes. Tears streamed down her face upon hearing the doctor's words.

"My baby! It can't be, my baby is gone!" Her weak voice began to sound fragmented.

"Mrs. Yasmine, calm down! You must be sincere. Your baby's heartbeat is gone!"

Yasmine became more hysterical upon hearing this. She had been waiting for her child for two years.

"Yasmine, this is all your fault! I had to lose my first grandchild!" Madeline entered the room, furious.

"Yasmine, you still think I'm a liar! I've given you a good life, I gave you everything! I married Shovia not because of love, only for business!"

Yasmine turned her face away. She didn't want to look at Evand's face that made her fall in love anymore.
