I was actually here, As the plane landed, my heart started racing — a mix of fear, excitement, and something unfamiliar yet thrilling. Everything looked… different.
I held my bag tightly as I stepped out of the airport, my mind replaying Maa’s voice, Bhaiya’s hug, and that last look they gave me. My chest felt heavy, but I took a deep breath.You can do this, Radhya.After completing the immigration formalities and collecting my luggage, I followed the university instructions sent via email. A university transport took a few of us international students straight to the campus dormitory. The ride felt unreal. Soon I reached the University dorm.

The building was huge, magestic, more beautiful than the picture I saw, I stepped inside, dragging my suitcase behind me. The reception area was buzzing with students ,I walked up to the dorm office, my documents neatly arranged in my folder — passport, visa, certificates, accommodation details… Maa had triple-checked everything before I left.
After filling out forms, signing documents, and collecting my dorm key and ID card, the receptionist smiled warmly and said something in Italian that I didn’t fully understand, but I smiled back anyway.

That’s my new home (murmur)

(As I entered the corridor, my heart started beating faster again). What if my roommate didn’t like me? What if she was rude? Or quiet? Or worse… judgmental?
I stood in front of the door for a second, adjusted my hair, wiped my slightly sweaty palms on my jeans, and finally unlocked it.
