what is the thing that we cling to so much
no one really knows what we're doing is that we take it for granted too much
most of us think that we'll die or leave this world when we're old
some of us just think that we'll die by the hands of another and let's be honest that's really true
some of our deaths can be controlled some can be avoided
but what do we do when we can't avoid death when it clings to us from the inside, and it's destroying us
What are we supposed to do do we give up do we let it happen do we fight or do we just live
death comes for us eventually some quicker than others
so we go around saying that we'll live our life to the fullest but are we or are we just taking it for granted
well it doesn't matter for me, I was going to live out the last days of my life and a loop just waiting for it to come death I mean
And then I met you, you taught me what the meaning of a living was
you taught me to beg and want for more time but of course I couldn't have any more
I'm sad that I had to go without saying goodbye to you
but thank you, Adam thank you for making me live my whole life and just one year
a young man with black hair was sleeping on a bed the alarm clock kept waking him up
the young teen boy who couldn't stand the alarm clock any longer tapped on it and got up out of bed
it was obvious that this was a daily routine for him
after clocking the alarm clock the young man whose name is Adam got up took a shower changed into these clothes that were suitable for running putting his earphones and began his morning run
Adam was a 17-year-old high school boy who was in his last year of high school
Adam was a famous footballer on his football team at his school Adam's golden life was she graduated and get into an astonishing football program at a big university college
They went all honesty that's not really Adam's goal, but his father is who Adam cannot stand up to since he does not want to disappoint him
So every morning Adam runs trains and build up his stamina to play football just, so he can make his father proud but also disappointing himself
so you could say that Adam is existing but not sure they're living
after doing his running while listening to his favorite rap songs Adam arrived home where he saw his mother in the kitchen for paying breakfast and his father around the dining table waiting for his breakfast
when his Father saw Adam he jumped up and hugged at him then he asked
Adam's dad
how many miles did you run
Adam's father asked excitedly
Seeing the expression on his father's face Adam just showed him one of those clock watch that records how many miles someone runs seeing the large number that shows that Adam had run a lot of miles his father was beaming with pride
Adam's dad
That's my boy keep this up, and you'll most definitely be super fit
he said well smiling at Adam who only nod in agreement
Adam's mom
that's enough boys Adam go take a shower and come down quick for breakfast
hearing his mother's words Adam ran upstairs to his room took a quick shower and got dressed in his uniform
after getting dressed he had a downstairs and sat around the dining table to eat his breakfast
as soon as Adam sat down his father kept ranting about football and all things related to Adam's future that he had planned out
Adam of course only pretended to listen while his mind was somewhere else
after eating his breakfast Adam headed out to the door and quickly got into his mother's car as she drove him to school
When they arrived at school his mother said to him,
Adam's mom
you do know that if you do not want to be a footballer any more you can tell your father right
Adam's mom
I know you think that he will be mad, and he won't understand, but he will sweetheart
after saying those words she put her hand on Adam's head and patted it down while Adam just left the car without saying a word
when Adam arrived inside the school building he headed straight to his locker where he saw his two best friend Chad and Nico
when they both saw Adam they beamed happily and Adam also beamed

yo Adam you finally made it bro
Chad
yeah man what took you so long
Adam
nothing just me listening to my father ramble on and on about football and my future
Chad
yikes man that sucks to listen to
as Chad said those words Adam nodded in agreement

why don't you just tell me you don't want to be a footballer when you leave high School
Nico
I mean he's your dad I'm sure he'll understand
Adam
you sound just like my mom honestly
Nico
isn't that a good thing

yeah it means you have one parent who supports you finding another career in the future
Adam
yeah and I'm sure she thinks that career is being a lawyer or some sort of high-end b*******
Adam
she would never support me if she found out I just wanted to be a rapper
Chad
I'm sure she'll understand
Adam
yeah just like you're sure my dad will understand there's no point
Adam
they both have this future planned out for me my dad's just being open about it and showing that he most definitely wants me to be some famous footballer

all because he couldn't
Adam
I seriously hate it when parents just put their dreams on their kids just because they couldn't accomplish it like we don't have dreams too
Adam
it's significantly sucks
Adam
but I can't disappoint him because he's my dad
Nico
yeah man we understand that much
they said with their head held down
and then that second Chad suddenly beamed with an idea

well let's stop talking about things that we can't control at the moment
Chad
why don't we go out tonight let off some steam go to that club just opened up
Chad said with excitement in his eyes while Nico and Adam just rolled their eyes at him
Adam
a club are you kidding me we're only 17 Chad
Adam
how exactly do you expect 17-year-olds to get into an adult's only club
Chad
well we could use fake IDs
Nico
and where would we get fake IDs
Nico said while rolling his eyes
Adam
Chad when you say you got a guy the only guy you know who could possibly give you fake IDs is your phony cousin
Nico
yeah and do you remember the last time he offered to give us something
Nico
we ended up grounded for two months almost 2 years because of that guy
the two of them said angrily
Chad
yeah but this time will be different he's actually pretty good at fake IDs
Chad
I mean how do you think he gets into clubs
when Chad said that Adam and Nico nodded in agreement
Chad
and come on Adam you just rented to us about how you hate the fact that your dad's controlling your life
Chad
why don't we just be a little rebellious we're almost graduating high school
Chad
I at least want to be able to tell my grandkids that in high school I was an epic prankster or something

I don't want to sound boring
Chad
it's our last day of high School can't you guys just come on and let's make it fun
after Chad said that Nico and Adam looked at each other and then they looked at Chad and nodded in agreement

but if we get caught you're taking most of the blame
Chad
okay that's something I can agree on
after they said those words they all headed straight to their classes
the school day went by in a flash just Adam hanging out with Chad at lunchtime and gazing out into space in some classes dreaming about being a rapper well then remembering that his dad will never allow it
after the school day ended Adam went straight home
where he saw his mother and father when they both saw Adam the greeted him in delight
Adam's mom
welcome home sweetie
Adam's dad
yeah welcome home son why aren't you at practice exactly
Adam
wasn't feeling so well so I kind of didn't go
Adam's mom
well that's okay I mean he practices every day honey missing one practice isn't such a bad thing
Adam's mother said that she packed her husband on the head
Adam's mom
well then sweetie go up and freshen up dinner will be ready soon
Adam
yeah about that is it possible for me and Chad and Nico to go out tonight
Adam said he looked at his mom's face and not his dad
Adam's dad
you want to go out you miss practice today but you want to go out with your friends
Adam
yes something wrong with me wanting to be a normal teenager
Adam said in a sarcastic voice that almost sounded angry
Adam's dad
no there's nothing wrong with that
Adam's father was about to say more when his wife cut him off
Adam's mom
exactly there's nothing wrong with that sweetheart go out and enjoy time with your friends just be back before midnight
Adam said as he headed upstairs to go bathe and change
he then came downstairs and ate his dinner with his parents and went back upstairs to wait until the appointed time to go hang out with his friends
