JiJi has always been a simple minded person— it's just a terrible tragedy that his simgle track mind is only filled with Hyun.
Its not that JiJi has never had a friend before, its just that Hyun is too goddamn handsome and JiJi's other friend can't hold a candle in front of Hyun.
JiJi's desire to make friends with Hyun is a little perverted and even he admits to that alright?! Its just that, that's not the all there is to it.
The first time JiJi saw Hyun was when the other way passed out on one of the benches in the park opposite to their school. The giy was dead asleep, so much that even the passing auntie and uncle's loud voiced chatter failed to wake him up. JiJi even for a second thought that the guy was dead when he first saw him while he was accompanying his auntie for a stroll in the park as school had not yet started.
From that moment on, JiJi's curiosity for Hyun increased. He went to school that day and it was not hard to find out the guy's information as the latter was obviously famous for being "devilishly" handsome, as his fellow classmates described. The only problem with Hyun was that— he was just too damn lazy. His sluggish personality was too hard to bear for some people as it completely did not match his "devilishly" handsome face.
Good-looking people should atleast try to maintain themselves, alright?!
But contrary to his classmates thoughts on the devil, JiJi thought that his personality went well with his face. He found that even his seriously bad personality had a sort of charm.
And so, JiJi straight up went ahead and made his introduction to Hyun, who on a very special occasion, decided to actually stay awake in class for once.
The whole thing went like this:
"Oui, Ciao, I'm JiJi. Ha, you don't need to introduce yourself, I already know quite so much about you, Hyun!", said JiJi, his smile big enough to split his face in two and eyes glistening mischievously, as he sat in the seat in front of Hyun, while ignoring the currently teaching hard-working teacher completely.
"...." Hyun suddenly thought that he should have just slept as usual and that is what he did, as he ignored JiJi completely.
~
No matter how terrible their first one-sided conversation was, JiJi was absolutely not dispirited and instead his curiousity for Hyun grew endlessly.
After that time, JiJi never quite gave up on conversing with Hyun even though the latter always remained indifferent to his existence.
As another day came by, two months had already passed since the beginning of their second year of high-school. JiJi as usual entered the class and sat down on his seat as he usually did before abruptly turning his whole body along with his chair back to face the person who was as-usual trying to catch some extra beauty sleep.
"Did you know they're holding a sports competition soon?!" exclaimed JiJi.
"En" mumbled Hyun as he tried to block out JiJi's voice, and failing to do so.
Even though before Hyun would never reply to Jiji's endless chatter, but after a month, he began to mumble out a light "en" to assure that he was listening when he realised that without getting a reply Jiji would persistently talk to him as if talking to a wall. This made JiJi feel a sense of accomplishment and arrogance surged in his hard as he thought that he made this 'tough-cookie' to talk.
"I'm gonna take part in the volleyball event, even though I obviously don't how to play shit. Ha~ I just hope my teammates won't hate me too much when I fail their expectations on the field" JiJi dejectedly sighed, his head hanging low, as if the ordeal weighed heavily on his heart.
"...then why are you taking part in the competition in the first place?", Hyun could not stop himself from making a strange expression when he heard something as ridiculous as that.
"... obviously for life experience!" Jiji looked at Hyun as if that was the most obvious thing ever, and the idiot here was obviously Hyun.
Hyun felt as tired as an 80 year old auntie's soul, and he thought that he really was an idiot for talking to this idiot which was nothing more than a completely waste of his time. He thought that if he continued, some of his hair really might turn white so he chose to put a stop to this whole ordeal and go ahead with his sleep.
Alas, the class door suddenly opened with a bang and teacher Shorty with his solemn face entered the classroom : "Who is sleeping still! get the hell up or go run 10 laps!"
Hyun who just wanted some peace: ***. ¯ಠ_ಠ/¯

Hello to the few souls reading this poor person's story, god bless you all •́ ‿ ,•̀
I'm new to this so please support and forgive whatever mistake I make waaa (ᗒᗩᗕ*)
Hyun has always been aloof, part of it is because of the environment in which he grew up. Hyun's parents have always been absent, not because they were busy working but because they just couldn't bother with bringing up a child.
When Hyun grew up to be old enough to take care of himself, they bought him a small apartment and sent him money from time to time.
They hadn't completely abandoned him, which made things further complicated for Hyun as he did not know whether he should hate them or not. Because of this, he grew up with abandonment issues. He thought that if he does get close to someone, who knows when they would choose to turn their backs on him and if he was abandoned again...he might break completely. So, the only wise choice was to not get familiar with anyone.
There has been many times when people would try to get to know him but he would never give in, even when he wanted to. To be lonely is painful but to be abandoned again, he would lose himself which he cannot afford.
All those people who once tried to get familiar with him would give up after he would give them a cold shoulder, all except of that one person: JiJi. Hyun did not understand why he was so hell bent on getting to know him, there was nothing much worthy of knowing about him and JiJi was a bright person, he could not comprehend why someone with that personality would be interested in him.
Was it just because of his face?
He sighed and threw it in the back of his mind.
JiJi was currently practicing alone for his volleyball game and no matter how much he practiced he was still quite terrible. Hyun who was leaning on the classroom window glanced at the ground and looked at the sorry figure that JiJi was displaying.
really pathetic. Life experience my ***.
~
The match was tomorrow and JiJi was confident that he atleast understood volleyball rules which was already more than good for him. As for his playing, well, he did not really care much plus there were other players, so all he had to do was be a pretty face.
JiJi smirked. It was true that he was quite pretty, but that was the problem! He was more on the pretty side and not on the handsome side. A man had to be tall and manly handsome, both of which were a little lacking for JiJi. Well, atleast it was better than nothing and JiJi was still confident about himself. JiJi would be confident about his looks even if he was ugly, as the confidence was deep in his bones.
Soon, it was the next day and JiJi came to school, prepared for a war.
"We're gonna win, I'm sure of it." JiJi said to Hyun who was currently busy looking out the window, at the trees.
Not surprised by not getting a reply from Hyun, Jiji started to busy himself in all the things he had learned about volleyball rules and soon after, it was time for the match.
Jiji confidently walked to the court, his head held high and his on his face a small arrogant smile could be seen. His teammates looked at him warily as they had all seen him "practicing" horribly before. JiJi, with a smile, encouraged them with a thumbs up "Fight!"
His teammates: "......"
Just where does all this confidence come from is all they wondered.
Soon, the match begin. JiJi's teammates were confident that even with Jiji, who was only taken into the team because the previous player could not make it for the match, they could win with a chance of 50-50.
The other team was from another local school and both the schools had a history of enmity from decades back. The match went by smoothly and the victory was almost theirs!
Just in the last few minutes of the game something unprecedent occured.
For the whole match JiJi would just follow behind his teammates, just that unexpectedly in the last few minutes, the ball served by the opposite team came in the direction of Jiji, which caught him completely off-guard.
But since JiJi was someone with a sense of responsibility, even whe he was terrible he didn't shy away from attacking back.
Alas, when he was trying to concentrate and trying to find a better footing to serve the ball, he lost his balance and the ball came directly for his precious face while he fell backwards.
Jiji's teammates: "...."
The entire hall: "...."
Hyun who was secretly watching: "........"
The entire hall was stunned by this unexpected course of events and they momentarily forgot to check up on JiJi who was lying half dead on the court.
Soon, they came back to themselves and some medics were called to check up on Jiji.
JiJi's injury was not much, just that his face was scratched and his hands were scratched and his ankles were twisted and his waist felt like it would break in half. In short, IT FUCKING HURT!
After the doctor was done with applying all kinds of ointments in all kinds of places on his body, the doctor had the audacity to break out in a fit of chuckles in front of JiJi who was currently heartbroken about the fact that he had lost so much face.
"Ah, how unexpected~ Youth~" the doctor sighed in nostalgia, recalling his own by gone high school days filled with youth and vigor.
JiJi who was currently holding ice to his almost broken ankle: "....."
Old man, can you not laugh and then go ahead sighing all dramatically??!
~
Even though Hyun was a little worried about Jiji's injury, he did not go ahead to make an inquiry about it. He thought that this time he really should ignore JiJi to make JiJi leave him alone.
JiJi after he was done with the treatment, went to the classroom to retrieve his back. Though it pained him to move around with his twisted ankle, he somehow made it to the classroom.
When he almost made it by the door, the door suddenly opened from the inside and out came Hyun, with his bag hanging from one of his shoulder, his face devoid of any expressions.
JiJi's downcast mood suddenly brightened upon seeing Hyun,
"Are you leaving— wait, I–", JiJi stopped his sentence as he saw Hyun pass him by as if he did not notice JiJi at all.
—I'm injured.
There's no way Hyun did not know that he was injured when JiJi was cutting quite a sorry figure and even a part of his face was scratched to the point that it was bloodied.
But of course Hyun did not care. JiJi almost laughed at his own self when he thought about how he was going to ask Hyun to help him get downstairs as it was difficult to walk.
His face paled and a familiar sense of desolation grasped his heart.
Its true that JiJi wanted to be friends with Hyun because Hyun was handsome but...that's only a small part of the reason. His main reason was that when he first saw Hyun, he saw in him a familiar loneliness which JiJi has lived with for a long time now. He thought they were very alike in this sense. He, for no reason, wanted to make Hyun less lonely, to make him know that he was there for him.
However, Hyun just made his heart ache more and more. While trying to make Hyun less lonely, he himself began to feel lonelier with each passing day.
"Where am I going with this? Does he think I'm stupid? My heart feels cold..." Jiji's mind wandered aimlessly around Hyun. His mind these days was filled with Hyun.
~
Hyun glanced back at JiJi secretly as he made it to the end of the corridor, only to stop abruptly when he saw the look on JiJi's face, which was completely blank, as he stared ahead absently.
If one looked at JiJi's face, they wouldn't be able to detect anything unnatural but the few who knew that look by heart, they would recognise it immediately. In that look dwelled despair and a sense of alienation that was not easy to notice by those who had not lived with these emotions all their life.
Upon seeing the ever sunny JiJi with that expression, Hyun's heart constricted and for a moment, he found it difficult to breathe.
Abruptly JiJi bit his lips hard, drawing blood which cause him to come back to himself and he realised that he still hadn't retrieved his bag, so he moved towards the classroom with pain spreading in his ankles and also... in his heart.
Hyun, upon seeing JiJi move ran to leave the school, as if the corridors were suffocating him.
