BEHIND THE MIND

Joey The Troublemaker

..."Oh shoot!" said Dr. Kyle as he tried to get his files in order while his patient kept bothering him....

..."Joey, can you stop bothering me? I need to send these files before this afternoon!"...

...Yup, that's right! Joey is Dr. Kyle's patient, and he is really annoying....

..."Aww! But it's boring! How about we play for a bit?" Joey said as he jumped around the room....

..."No! And besides, Joey, don’t you have an unfinished drawing?" Dr. Kyle really didn’t want anything to do with Joey right now, since he wanted to finish his work as quickly as possible....

..."My red color is empty! I want something else to do!" Joey stomped his feet in frustration....

..."The answer is no, Joey! Now cut it out and sit down! Let me do my work in peace!" he said sternly, gesturing for Joey to sit down. Joey obeyed and sat, but he was clearly bored and started mumbling random words quietly....

...As Dr. Kyle grabbed a file, Joey peeked and saw his own face on it....

..."Is that my face!?" Joey pointed at the file. Dr. Kyle quickly tried to hide it....

..."None of your business, Joey!" he said, hiding the file behind him....

..."But I want to see it!" Joey shouted, jumping on Dr. Kyle and grabbing the file....

..."Dang it!!" Dr. Kyle yelled at Joey but eventually sighed and calmed down....

..."Fine, look at it," he said, crossing his arms and waiting for Joey to finish reading....

..."What kind of jumbo bumbo language is this?? I can't understand a thing!" Joey said, looking at Dr. Kyle in confusion....

...Here’s your revised version with corrected grammar, punctuation, and a smoother flow while keeping the characters’ personalities intact:...

...---...

...“It’s because the document about you is written in technical language that only doctors like me can understand!” Dr. Kyle smirked and raised an eyebrow at Joey....

...“Or maybe it’s just because you have terrible handwriting!” Joey laughed as Dr. Kyle rolled his eyes....

...“Can you read it for me?” Joey begged, looking at Dr. Kyle with puppy eyes....

...“Yeah... sure...” Dr. Kyle opened the document and flipped through it....

...“Zain Nordin, a 42-year-old man from Scotland... has several mental disorders that I won’t tell you about because I’m too lazy to read it all.” He looked at Joey, who just nodded at what he said....

...“That’s all. You happy now?” Dr. Kyle closed the file....

...“Only that!? I want more!” Joey pleaded....

...“No! I need to finish my work first,” Dr. Kyle replied, turning back to the documents and ignoring Joey....

...Five hours later, Dr. Kyle put all the files into the drawer and turned around—only to see Joey playing with a pair of scissors from another drawer....

...“JOEY!! PUT THAT THING DOWN!!”...

...Joey flinched at the sudden yelling and stared at Dr. Kyle as he slowly put the scissors down....

...“Why!? I can’t enjoy anything with you always yelling at me and saying everything fun is bad!” Joey shouted back, clearly upset....

...“Of course I do! You’re self-destructive, Joey! Every time I leave you with something sharp, you cut your wrist for ‘fun’...” Dr. Kyle’s tone shifted—he sounded genuinely concerned as he gently tapped Joey’s shoulder....

...“Fine...” Joey pouted, looking away....

...“Good boy, I’m glad you understand.”...

...While Dr. Kyle was still talking to Joey, he suddenly remembered something....

...“Oh shoot! I forgot about the meeting! See ya, Joey—and don’t touch that scissor again!” he yelled as he ran toward the meeting room....

...Here’s your passage revised for grammar, clarity, and flow, while keeping the dramatic intensity intact:...

...When Dr. Kyle was far enough down the hallway, Joey chuckled to himself....

...“You didn’t say anything about broken glass...” he muttered....

...He reached for a small mirror and quietly smashed it into pieces. Picking up the shards, he placed them in his palms and clenched his hands tightly, the sharp edges cutting deep into his skin. Blood began dripping from his hands—but instead of crying or panicking, Joey just giggled....

...“Nice red color for my drawing,” he said with a twisted smile, grabbing his canvas and starting to paint with his bloody fingers....

...Some of the nearby staff heard his unsettling giggles. One of them peeked inside—and gasped in horror at what they saw. Without hesitation, the staff member rushed in and snatched the remaining mirror shards from Joey’s hand....

...Almost immediately, the other staff burst into the room to help. Joey’s demeanor changed in an instant—he turned violent, leaping onto the first staff member and clawing at him in an attempt to get the glass back....

...“OH MAN! GET THIS KID OFF ME!!” the staff shouted in panic....

...Two others grabbed Joey, pulling him off and restraining him. Joey screamed at the top of his lungs, thrashing wildly, and then slammed his head hard against the floor in protest....

...“Call Dr. Kyle!” one of the staff yelled....

...A staff member bolted out of the room, rushing to the meeting room and yelling for Dr. Kyle. Within moments, he and Dr. Kyle returned, and what they saw made Dr. Kyle freezes in shock. ...

DR.HANS

...Dr. Kyle was horrified by what he saw—Joey screaming, blood smeared all over his arms. Without hesitation, he rushed forward and grabbed Joey. To his relief, Joey finally began to calm down in his arms....

...“What the heck were you doing!? Trying to kill yourself?!” Dr. Kyle snapped, grabbing Joey’s face and forcing him to look up....

...“N-No... I was just...” Joey tried to find an excuse, but his stuttering betrayed him....

...“Don’t lie to me. We all know what you were doing back there,” Dr. Kyle said firmly, before slowly letting go of Joey’s face....

...“I didn’t have any paint... that’s why I used that to draw... I’m sorry...” Joey mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper....

...Dr. Kyle sighed deeply. “It’s okay. But Joey—you’re hurting yourself. I don’t want to see my patients suffer from a pain they don’t even fully understand.”...

...He reached for a towel from the medical box and gently began wrapping it around Joey’s bleeding arms to stop the flow....

...“I’m really sorry...” Joey said again, still not daring to meet his eyes....

...“Joey... you promised me you wouldn’t do this again. And yet, here you are—making bloody scars on your arms and banging your head against the floor.”...

...Dr. Kyle’s voice was softer now, but filled with worry....

...“I’m addicted to it...” Joey admitted, guilt heavy in his voice. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn’t stop....

...“Then you need to fight that addiction. It’s not good for you—it never will be. It’s dangerous. It’s harmful. And one day, it might kill you. I’m very disappointed in you right now,” Dr. Kyle said sternly....

...Joey stayed silent, staring at the floor, letting the weight of the words sink in. He didn’t argue. He didn’t explain. He just took it all in....

...“Don’t look down. Look at me!” Dr. Kyle suddenly raised his voice, the pain in it louder than the anger....

...Joey flinched slightly and slowly looked up at him. Tears were forming in his eyes, though he tried his best to hold them back....

...Seeing this, Dr. Kyle’s expression softened again. He gently cupped Joey’s cheek and rubbed it with his thumb, wiping away a tear before it could fall....

...“Hey… don’t cry. Don’t waste those precious tears on a simple argument like this,” Dr. Kyle said softly, sighing. “I’m sorry, Joe. Maybe I pushed things too far…”...

...Joey suddenly wrapped his arms around Dr. Kyle, sobbing harder into his shoulder....

...“I’m sorry!! I’m really sorry!! Please forgive me...”...

...Dr. Kyle hugged him back gently, rubbing his back in slow, calming circles as he let Joey cry....

...“Shh... I know, I know. I forgive you. Just promise me you won’t ever do this again, understood?”...

...Joey nodded silently, holding on tightly....

...“Everything’s going to be fine... I’m here. I’m right here,” Dr. Kyle whispered....

...Slowly, Joey began to calm down. Dr. Kyle gently patted his head, watching as the tension in Joey’s body eased....

...Just then, a voice called from outside the room....

...“Dr. Kyle! We need you for the daily report!”...

...“Oh, uh... I’ve gotta go,” Dr. Kyle said, turning back to Joey. “How about you take a nap, hmm?”...

...“Okay!!” Joey chirped, climbing into the bed and lying down....

...“Before that, how about you take your medicine?” Dr. Kyle suggested as he grabbed a small bottle of water from his bag, along with a pill....

...Joey frowned. He hated medicine—he’d usually do anything to avoid it. But today,to Dr.Kyle’s surprise, Joey didn’t argue....

...“Fine...” he mumbled, hesitant at first. But eventually, he took the pill, shoved it into his mouth, and chased it down with water....

...Dr. Kyle smiled faintly. He didn’t care if it was out of character—what mattered most was Joey’s health....

...Joey laid back on the bed and slowly closed his eyes, finally finding a moment of peace....

...Dr. Kyle slowly left the room, trying to be as quiet as possible so he wouldn’t wake Joey. He walked down the hallway and soon reached the doctor who had called for him....

...He entered the office and saw Dr. Hans waiting....

...“What do you want, Dr. Hans?” Dr. Kyle asked, his voice echoing slightly in the quiet room....

...Dr. Hans looked up and wordlessly gestured to the chair in front of him. Dr. Kyle glanced at it for a moment, then sat down....

A MEETING

...Dr. Hans stared coldly at Dr. Kyle, narrowing his eyes....

...“So, how’s Zain?” His voice echoed sharply in the quiet room, emotionless and stern....

...Dr. Kyle paused, thinking for a moment before responding....

...“He’s stable for now. He was calm when I left him, he’s asleep in his bed.”...

...Dr. Hans watched him carefully, analyzing every word....

...“May I know what mental illnesses Zain has?” he asked, his voice still flat and probing....

...Dr. Kyle looked down at the floor for a moment, recalling Joey’s medical file....

...“Let’s see... severe psychopathic behavior... borderline personality disorder...”...

...Dr. Hans cut in, listing more without hesitation. “Narcissism. Anger issues.”...

...Dr. Kyle nodded. “Mhm, those too. He’s quite difficult to manage, especially with all those conditions combined.”...

...Dr. Hans rolled his eyes. “He’s also one of our worst patients,” he said coldly, his words sending a chill down Dr. Kyle’s spine....

...“Uhm... y-yeah, I know,” Dr. Kyle replied, trying to force a smile. “I’ve been his psychiatrist for four years now... I know him better than most of the doctors here.”...

...Dr. Hans leaned forward slightly, arms crossed, eyes locked on Dr. Kyle....

...“You sure he hasn’t killed or harmed anyone?”...

...“What!?” Dr. Kyle blinked, startled. “W-why would you ask that?”...

...Dr. Hans rolled his eyes again, unimpressed. “That’s what the staff have been asking. They’ve been complaining about his self abuse, random bursts of laughter and tears, uncontrollable hyperactivity. They're concerned.”...

...He frowned and looked down at the floor, clearly deep in thought....

...Dr. Kyle sighs "I'm really sorry if he is acting weird and...wild." I don't know what got into him when he acted like that. I'm sure he won't act like that again......

...“Listen, Dr. Kyle,” Dr. Hans said, his tone cold and unwavering, “I’m afraid we have no choice but to neutralize him.”...

...Dr. Kyle’s eyes widened in shock. He stared at Dr. Hans, then shook his head in disbelief....

...“No, no, no... You’re not saying we’re going to get rid of him. He needs help. He needs treatment. You can’t just eliminate someone because they’re difficult!”...

...Dr. Kyle tried to reason with him, but Dr. Hans didn’t seem moved in the slightest....

...“He’s a danger to us, Dr. Kyle. You have no idea what he’s truly capable of.”...

...“He just needs to be controlled,” Dr. Kyle insisted. “He just needs to be monitored, constantly supervised to make sure he doesn’t do anything reckless. The other doctors have been complaining that he won’t cooperate with anyone but me, and—”...

...He stopped mid-sentence as a realization hit him....

...Dr. Hans raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”...

...Dr. Kyle looked up, meeting his gaze directly. His expression turned cold and serious. He finally realized what Dr. Hans us trying todo and he didn't like it at all....
