(A black car pulls in. Celeste steps out in a beige trench coat and heels. She hesitates as she sees a tall, stern figure waiting.)

Inside – Living Room

Later – Carter Master Bedroom

[FLASHBACK – TWO DAYS AGO]

Two nights ago. Valeont Corp Headquarters. Midnight. Lucien’s office is dark except for the city lights flickering through the windows.

Pause. Like the whole city goes silent.

[BACK TO PRESENT]

At night

The Gala — Annual Business Event (Velvet drapes, champagne bubbles, camera flashes. The night was all performance.)

Lucien Vale walks in and entire chattering stops. Charcoal-black suit, jaw tense, eyes blazing. People clear a path. No one meets his gaze.

And then — he sees her.

Upon seeing Celeste, Raymond buttons his coat, gets on the dice with a glass of champagne in his hands and adjusting the mic at the center stage

Lucien watches her go. A storm trapped in a man. Cassian stands between him and the wreckage.
