I was going to my home from college. Today I left early,I wasn't in a right mood. It was almost 12:00,sun reached its highest point. Something was not right,it was not like any other day's. Brightness of the sun increased rapidly nothing was visible, temperature also started to increase. What's going on? Every one was in a panic, suddenly a loud scream was heard from far away. Slowly the number of scream started to increase.

I suddenly felt a burning sensation it increased rapidly. I ran blindly due to this uncontrollable pain, suddenly I started to fall. I felt something cold,due to the mental shock from the pain I lost my consciousness. Slowly I started to open my eyes, I couldn't see anything around me it was full dark.

I heard the sound of running water and I was standing on it and there was a foul smell also coming from there,I concluded that when I ran somehow I fell into the drainage. Then I realized that the burning sensation that I had earlier have gone.

I had one question left in me,what happened?I rushed to find a way out of the drainage. I walked few metres ahead by touching the wall there was a ladder. I started climbing,unfortunately it was closed. But at this circumstance I can't move any further in this darkness. So I tried to open the lid of the drainage,after the continuous effort it opened.

I pushed the lid and climbed to the surface. How much time has passed!

The bright sun which was standing there a few minutes ago was gone. There is a shadow covering the sun.Only 5% of the sunlight is reaching to the earth. Surrounding can only be seen in a dim light which resembles of the dim yellow light from filament bulb. It was a terrifying sight but I didn't see any people's yet. I moved forward I walked towards the direction of my home. During the walk I noticed,there was samll heap of sand here and there in some places there was lots of them.

I heard the sound of alarm from the government building faraway. Alarm goes on at sharp 12:00pm.

About 10 minutes have passed since that happened. When I was immersed in my thoughts I heard someone's sounds,it was similar to a cry. Because of my curiosity I ran towards that sound. What I saw was something unthinkable that made me stunned for few minutes. That man was becoming sand,his flesh, blood and bone where becoming sand. I stand there watching it helplessly. My hopes was in the brinks of shattering.

I realized that,the sand heaps that I saw earlier were all human beings. But how and why? What about my family my friends. Without a second thought by gathering all the courage left in me I walked towards my home without turning my neck.

A prayer was chanting inside my mind, Oh GOD please save my loved ones. I reached my door steps the door was open.
