Love Love

Painful Love

There was a young couple named Adam and Emily. They met in college and fell deeply in love. They promised to each other that they would love and support each other no matter what happens.

After graduation, Adam landed a job in a different city, and Emily stayed back in their hometown. The couple continued their long-distance relationship, talking on the phone every day and texting each other all the time. They promised to be faithful and to wait for each other until they could be together again.

Months passed, and Adam became busier with his job, while Emily was struggling with her studies. They started to drift apart, and their conversations became less frequent. One day, Adam received a call from Emily. She sounded sad and distant.

“Adam, I’m sorry,” she said. “I’ve met someone else, and I don’t think I can keep my promise to you anymore.”

Adam was heartbroken. He couldn’t believe that Emily had broken their promise. He tried to convince her to give their relationship another chance, but Emily was determined to move on. Adam was devastated, but he respected her decision.

Years passed, and Adam moved on with his life. He found a new job, made new friends, and even started dating again. But he never forgot Emily and the promise they had made to each other.

One day, Adam received a call from Emily. She was crying, and her voice was shaky.

“Adam, I need you,” she said. “My husband has left me, and I don’t know what to do. I remembered the promise we made, and I knew you were the only one who could help me.”

Adam was surprised to hear from Emily, but he didn’t hesitate to help her. He flew to her city and stayed with her for a few days. He comforted her and helped her through her difficult time.

As they spent time together, Adam realized that he still loved Emily, and she felt the same way. They talked about their past, their mistakes, and the promise they had made to each other.

“Emily, I know we’ve both made mistakes, but I still love you,” Adam said. “I want to keep our promise and be there for you always.”

Emily looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Adam, I love you too,” she said. “I’m sorry I broke our promise. I never should have given up on us.”

Adam and Emily reconciled, and they got married a few months later. They kept their promise to each other and remained faithful and supportive throughout their lives.

Break up

The stranger smiled and said, “I am Divya. Do you mind if I sit next to you? My legs are killing me.

It was a typical Sunday afternoon. The Richmond Park was flocking with people, running, and walking their dogs. Some were chatting, while others were sitting alone basking in the sunlight.

With her dampened eyes, Madhu looked around and watched people enjoying themselves to the fullest. Yet none of that gave her any joy. She was playing her conversation with Pramod over and over again. It’s over, Madhu. We can’t be together. I don’t love you anymore.

Just like that, their relationship was over. No explanation, no apology

Heart is broken it is the saddest thing in the world. All your energy leaves you and everything in your life seems to lose all meaning. "there is nothing as whole as a broken heart". Although a broken heart is painful, it brings a person to turn to God. shee realizes that she is ultimately alone in the world except for God who is always there to comfort him.

Suffering from a terrible heartbreak, she sat alone, hiding her sobbing face behind her palms. The next moment, she heard a friendly voice. “Is everything alright?” a bespectacled middle-aged woman walked up to her. “Yeah… I am… I am okay,” Madhu avoided the question as she wiped the tears from her face.

The stranger smiled and said, “I am Divya. Do you mind if I sit next to you? My legs are killing me.”

“Please,” Madhu replied as she shifted to make space.

“So, is everything really okay?” Divya asked again in a soft voice.

There was something in Divya’s voice that comforted Madhu. “I am just having the worst day of my life. My partner broke up with me. Eight years… we were together and he didn’t even give me eight words of explanation,” a reluctant smile flashed on her face.

“I know it’s hard. But you’ll be okay,” said Divya. “Life is too short to cry over something that wasn’t meant to be.”

“But for me, it meant a lot. Eight years of my life I gave to this relationship,” Madhu replied.

“My husband walked away after 14 years of marriage. Still, I am here, strong and happy,” Divya was smiling. “You don’t have to be in a relationship to be happy. If happiness is what you seek, be in a relationship with yourself.”

“Thanks. Your words have given me some strength. I wish we could talk more. But I have an important errand to run,” said Madhu.

“Of course. You can take this book with you. I want you to have it. I’m sure it will help you,” Divya pulled a book from her tote bag and gave it to her. Madhu happily took it and bid her goodbye.

She was feeling better after that conversation. I should have stayed back. I didn’t even take her number, she thought while walking towards her cab. She looked at the cover of the book and read the title – Finding happiness within yours.

And just below that, she found the author’s name in bold: Divya Prakash.
