•
•
Billie:
"How..."
•
•
The Day has come as everyone gather,
•
•
As if it was once again Thanksgiving Supper.
•
•
Family, Friends; all of our loved ones,
•
•
Gathered in one place as if it was Prom Dance.
•
•
But instead of joy, happiness, and glee,
•
•
There was no laughter, but sounds of plea.
•
•
Cries, Why's, and tears flow freely,
•
•
As the flashback of the past play in memory.
•
•
Billie:
"Why..."
•
•
Among the sea of people dressed in white,
•
•
Stood out a color, a drop of sunshine.
•
•
But, there was no sunshine.
•
•
For among all of the hearts that have gathered,
•
•
Hers was the one that greatly shattered.

•
•
Billie:
"Why did you..."
•
•
Right infront of her, lays in his crib,
•
•
Unmoving, silent, as if he's asleep.
•
•
But reality cannot be ignored,
•
•
Forever in his coffin, her best friend is stored.
•
•
Billie: (*in tears*)
"Why? Why? How did this happen? You said we'll be together. You and I, best friends forever."
•
•
"Why did you leave? Out of nowhere, you just left me."
•
•
(*cries louder*)
"Ace, get up! Wake up! You can't leave me!"
(*cries louder*)
"Ace, get up! Wake up! You can't leave
(Photo not mine.)
•
•
(*fades into a whisper*)
"You\-You can't...."

•
•
•
As seconds turn into hours,
•
•
And hours turn into days.
•
•
His grave was always full of flowers,
•
•
But the joy in Billie's eyes continued to fade.
•
•
Days turned into months,
•
•
Billie remained distant towards everyone.
•
•
How is she to heal,
•
•
A gaping wound nothing can seal.
•
•
QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ
•
•
School came,
•
•
But it would never be the same.
•
•
No one to keep you company,
•
•
No matter how nice they can be.
•
•
No one to make you smile like before,
•
•
Because he's gone and all left is a gaping hole.
•
•
How could you leave just like that?
•
•
I waited, alone I sat.
•
•
What am I to wait now?
•
•
All this pain in need of you, but how?
•
•
Cruel life must be,
•
•
Daily reminders of what we used to be.
•
•
I've fallen down this ditch,
•
•
Cold, isolated, and black pitch.
•
•
Ace... Why-
•
•
Come back and tell me I'm ugly when I cry.
•
•
Life seems so lifeless now,
•
•
A smile untrue plastered on my mouth.
•
•
What should I do next?
•
•
What should I choose as my next step?
•
•
I feel so lost as though I'm a puppy,
•
•
Waiting for my owner, 'Please come home early'
•
•
Wagging my tail in anticipation,
•
•
Not knowing that you're forever gone.
•
•
It's been months since you passed,
•
•
These questions will forever last.
•
•
As I kneel to sit by you,
•
•
I stare at the stone, lit by the sunset's hue.
•
•
The dozen flowers hinting wilt,
•
•
I began to clean the rubbish and filth.
•
•
As I move with ease,
•
•
For I've done this for weeks,
•
•
I still cannot ignore the stinging of my eyes,
•
•
Nor ignore the painful squeeze, in my heart lies.
•
•
Alas, I've hit my low
•
•
Depression finally swallowing me whole.
•
•
•
•
•
Another day came,
•
•
Billie somehow stays sane.
•
•
Leaves her house with cheek kisses and a smile,
•
•
But we know it only lasted a while.
•
•
Every step felt heavier than the last,
•
•
Although Billie doesn't want to, school is a must.
•
•
But - their school holds too much,
•
•
Flooding her senses, cannot be held down by a latch.
•
•
'Bear it.' Billie thinks,
•
•
Familiar gates making her heart shrink.
•
•
A smile to fool, plastered on her face
•
•
As she pass by teachers, students, and her teammates.
•
•
(Photo not mine.)
•
•
Billie:
"Good Morning."
•
•
"Have a great day."
•
•
"See you in class."
•
•
'Fake' , she taunts herself.
•
•
Once she enter the school doors, her smile fell.
•
•
The familiarity getting to her,
•
•
Stinging eyes, her gaze fell lower.
•
•
As Billie walk silently,
•
•
Through hallways full of memory.
•
•
Her heart aches painfully,
•
•
As her world felt nothing but dark and lonely.
•
•
In the midst of her walk,
•
•
A stranger stopped to talk.
•
•
Billie stood, her interest low,
•
•
But little does she know.
•
•
Jack, her bully, stood still
•
•
Words stuck in his throat, betraying his will.
•
•
Billie despised Jack for the unending embarassment,
•
•
But she takes it in silence, all his torment.
•
•
As children, Billie used to adore Jack.
•
•
But that's all it was , a crush from way back.
•
•
Jack: (*nervous*)
"Hey... uhh, Billie right?"
•
•
A scoff left Billie,
•
•
Probably because he never called her 'Billie' .
•
•
He always made fun of her,
•
•
Thankfully Ace was there to cool the weather.
•
•
Billie: (*uninterested*)
"Yeah."
•
•
Billie started feeling -- anger?
•
•
At the thought of those hardships Jack caused Ace and her.
•
•
Jack: (*nervous*)
"I just\-, uhh... I just wanted to say that\-"
(*pause*)
"\-you look pretty today."
•
•
•
Billie's anger quickly changed into pain,
•
•
Those words that Ace would say to start her day.
•
•
Billie: (*uninterested*)
"Thanks."
•
•
Jack senses her shift in mood,
•
•
Regretting the fact that he made a wrong move.
•
•
Jack: (*checks watch*)
"Oh, it's almost time. See ya' around, yeah?"
(*runs aways*)
•
•
Billie: (*uninterested*)
"Tch, Weirdo."
•
•
•
•
As classes come and go
And time pass by,
•
•
Billie no longer feels thrilled no matter how much she tries.
•
•
Art class came,
•
•
The subject her and Ace were famed.
•
•
The best of the best they were,
•
•
Often times they competed each other.
•
•
At the end of the day, they'd still be friends,
•
•
So strong that even art can not end.
•
•
A blank canvas, Billie stares
•
•
Emotions spiking, pain have flared.
•
•
Her hand shaking, a brush in between
•
•
With angry strokes, lines finally seen.
•
•
•
•
At the corner of the room,
•
•
One's curiousity bloomed.
•
•
T'was Jack peeping through,
•
•
But what he saw made him blue.
•
•
Billie's hand, moving swiftly
•
•
Brush on canvas, not landing gently.
•
•
Every stroke of pain,
•
•
Leaving marks and stains.
•
•
It's painter silent, sullen she sat
•
•
Her eyes growing red by the tears held back...
•
•
•
•
When class had ended and everyone was leaving,
•
•
Not even caring, she just started walking.
•
•
Jack left behind, quietly waiting
•
•
Hoping to take a sneak of Billie's painting.
•
•
The room cleared, he was now alone
•
•
Went straight towards the painting's throne.
•
•
•
•
He stares for a while, such glory
•
•
A masterpiece made in a fit of fury.
•
•
So many emotions conveyed in canvas,
•
•
Those who views it delves deep into their pasts.
•
•
(Photo not mine)
•
•
•
•
Jack kept silent,
•
•
Mind in a fuss.
•
•
His angel fighting; 'Be patient' ,
•
•
The other; 'What you want is a must.'
•
•
•
•
Out of school, Billie's feet kept going
•
•
Not realizing the path that she was taking.
•
•
Her emotions afloat, getting entangled
•
•
Leaving her gasping for air as though she's being wrangled.
•
•
Pain, in her heart, starts seeping through
•
•
A whimper escaped; 'Ace, where are you?'
•
•
Deep breath in, she closes her vision
•
•
Deep breath out, she looks around in question.
•
•
Her blood ran cold at the familiar location,
•
•
Where her feet took her with no conscious action.
•
•
•
•
As she stare at the stone,
•
•
Where his name was engraved.
•
•
She sits down for who knows how long,
•
•
Until pitter patter comes the rain.
•
•
Slowly, her face contorts in pain ,
•
•
As her tears began to mingle with the rain.
•
•
(Photo not mine)
•
•
She sobs, wails, and cries ,
•
•
Everything she pent up gets untied.
•
•
•
Billie: (*in pain*) (*volume gradually increasing*)
"I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. Ace Evans, I hate you! I'm alone without you. What am I supposed to do? I feel so lost without you here."
•
•
•
As the rain grew heavier,
•
•
Billie's cries grew louder-
•
•
-and louder.
•
•
Even with her clothes all soaking wet,
•
•
All she cares is for a reply from her best friend.
•
•
Not noticing from the corner of her eye,
•
•
A familiar someone passing by.
•
•
(Photo not mine)
•
•
Her pain, hidden by the storm ,
•
•
Her composure, all broken and torn.
•
•
But the freezing raindrops suddenly stops,
•
•
As someone shelters her -- a jacket -- on her head, drops.
•
•
•
Jack: (*worried*) (*slight panic*)
"Billie? What are you doing? Do you have a death wish or something?"
•
•
•
Billie says nothing as Jack guides her to take cover,
•
•
With her head hung low, she grips his jacket closer.
•
•
The two sat in a choking silence,
•
•
Billie anticipating his incoming rude comments.
•
•
Surprisingly, he did nothing of the sort ,
•
•
Instead, he actually gave her comfort.
•
•
•
Jack: (*sighs as he looks at the sky*)
"What a rain this afternoon."
•
•
•
Billie: (*silent*)
"..."
•
•
•
Jack: (*soft*)
"You alright though, Billie button?"
•
•
•
Jack wanted to smack himself,
•
•
The slip of the tongue, he wanted to melt.
•
•
Billie's heart felt as though it was gonna burst,
•
•
As the boy mentions a nickname that apparently was hers.
•
•
A memory flashed before her,
•
•
It was Ace's voice in a teasing manner
•
•
•
•
Ace: (*distant*) (*soft and playful*)
"Sup Billie button."
•
•
•
Ace: (*whiny*)
"Billie button, I'm hungryyy.."
•
•
•
Ace: (*whiny*)
"Billiiiee buttooonn..."
(*fades out*)
•
•
•
Billie: (*whisper*)
"Ace..."
(*tears*)
•
•
•
•
Alas, he'd done it again ,
•
•
On reflex, he asks the same.
•
•
•
Jack: (*worried*)
"You okay, Billie butto-?"
•
•
•
Billie: (*abrupt*) (*upset*)
"-don't! ... don't call me that!"
(*falters*)
"Only Ace does..."
•
•
•
•
Jack felt suffocated,
•
•
Caught in a place, so diffecult - unwanted.
•
•
Now, or not yet?
•
•
Gahh.. Rash decisions are not my best.
•
•
•
Jack: (*speechless manner*)
"I'm ..... sorry."
(*pause*)
(*sighs*)
•
•
•
Jack: (*nervous*)
"I - er , wanna tell you something."
•
•
•
Billie: (*sniffles*) (*soft , annoyed*)
"What?"
•
•
•
Jack: (*gulps*) (*nervous*) (*sigh*)
"Billie button, it's - "
(*hesitate*)
"it's me."
•
•
•
Billie: (*sniff*) (*soft , annoyed*)
"What do you mean it's you?"
•
•
•
Jack: (*stares at her intently*)
(*gentle*)
"It's me, Ace."
•
