I was writing in my new journal that Chiron gave me today for my 11th birthday as a gift when a newbie walked in or so I thought. I said, "Hi, I'm Grace Thompson. What's your name?" I asked

"Oliva, Oliva Louise," she said

"Nice name, well welcome to cabin eleven: Hermes cabin if it's your first time here which it's probably isn't."

"You're a child of Hermes."

"No, I'm not a child of Hermes."

"Then whose are you?"

"I am undetermined, which means until my godly parent claims me I'm stuck here. But, you have been claimed" I assumed by the way she talked.

"Yep," Oliva said. "A few minutes after I got on campus 8 years ago."

"Oh," I said unenthusiastically. "Then who your godly parent?"

"Ares."

"Well, then why are you here in Hermes cabin."

"I was going to check on Connor, is he here."

"No, I'm probably the only one in here if Percy isn't here with Annabeth's Yankees cap"

A very awkward silence fills the room.

"I have never seen you here," I said suspiciously, "but there are a lot of people here at camp so I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't see you. I know almost everyone here at this camp. I was here a year after the senior counselor of this cabin."

"I've stayed in the shadows a lot. So that's probably why you didn't see me."

"Ares children and undetermined do not mix well. So you should get going but I guess you would know that since you have been here longer than me."

"Well, bye Oliva. Nice meeting you."

"You too, bye Grace."

"That new girl, I have a feeling that she's up to something that's not good," I said.

"She's not new Grace," Leo said. I scowled at that sentence.

"But guys this time I think I'm right. She was acting very weird to me. I'm not talking demigod weirdness. I'm talking monster weirdness I think. I can't tell if it's a monster or god weirdness. Whenever I'm around her I get chills. And not the good type of chills-"

"Or it's your stomach because you're fidgeting a lot you fidget a lot when you're hungry," Piper said.

"I know that but, I'm not hungry I think it's a sign from my godly parent maybe. I don't know. But I think I saw an owl over the Ares cabin and on one shot it down. I think Ares is getting soft--HHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I wasn't able to finish my sentence because of Percy. Then he took off Annabeth's Yankees cap and scared me half to death literally half to death (we have Nico di Angelo who certified that statement).

"Sorry Grace, but Clarisse getting soft I doubt it. She enjoys people being thrown in toilets, like who enjoys that stuff but that's Clarisse." Percy said

"And what's this about Ares getting soft I can't believe it, I don't think Annabeth would believe it either. You said you think you saw an owl over cabin five?"

"Yes, didn't you hear that when you were eavesdropping," I said in a harsh tone.

"Hey, I wasn't the one yelling and you shouldn't be so mad at me 'cause I can help well I can't help you but Annabeth can."

I made a face that scared Rosetta my owl. "Fine, but if you scare me again I will injure you like you can't imagine after I get permission from Annabeth then Rosetta can have at you." I threatened him. He gulped like he just swallowed a whole chocolate golden drachma.

"Okay," he said in a screechy voice. And I started laughing so badly I fell over.

"It isn't funny," he said in an even more screechy voice. That just made me laugh even more and then Leo and Piper, then he started laughing too. That's when it happened, after I got to my feet, "Incoming!!!!" someone said then something hit my head and I collapsed.
