It's love story of 1990's. I mean it's the love story of my parent's as the tittle above suggests.

Let's learn their love story and go with the flow with me.

In our Karbi tribe custom, same surname can't get married they are always considered siblings,In our custom female don't have to take their husband's surname after marriage they an keep their own surname,female has to add *pi* in their surname. male can get married with their maternal uncle's daughter while female can't and female can marry their paternal aunt's son while male can't.

My mom and dad are from the same village(Lamba Terang village) ,Howraghat(block),Karbi Anglong(district), Assam(state), India(country)like about 4-5 households apart alternately , they have the age gap of about 9 yrs.

My father Ram Teron belongs to a nuclear family of 8 members as a 2nd Child later phase got to work in forest dept. as a MR worker. His father(Charan sing Teron) being a Mondol at that time, mom(Purnima Ronghangpi) as a housewife, Eldest uncle(Sondro Teron) as a contractor, 3rd uncle (Robul Teron) being a veterinary doctor, 4th aunt(Beauty Teronpi) as a primary school teacher, 5th uncle(Mohan Teron) being a fisheries officer and youngest aunt (Ismiti Teronpi) work as an LIC agent. Although my grandma was a widow when she married my grandfather and brought her first child (son i.e eldest uncle) eldest uncle, dad and other uncles and aunts get along well like real siblings.All financial power's was in grandma's hand.

My mom Sita Rongpipi comes from a humble background. They were rich landlords during their forefathers but became what it is today due to the reason that my grandfather (Binod Chandra Rongpi)was a rich second generation and don't know how to farm after my grandfather's parents pass away. Grandfather pass away when my mom was 3 yrs old as grandpa was a weak Scholar at that time and wasn't able to handle farm's work he has no foundation in it. My grandma(Basapi Rongpharpi) being a housewife singlehandedly raised her children after grandpa's dead.

My mother's family consist of 7 members my mom being 4th child (housewife), eldest aunt(Homesuri Rongpipi) as a housewife, 2nd uncle(Monuj Chandra Rongpi) being a bricklayer (Mason), 3rd uncle (Son joy Rongpi) being a auto rickshaw driver and youngest uncle being a farmer.

My dad was a charismatic person intelligent,he is a shit showell officer (dog lover), he loves listening to Hollywood songs of that time, but also rebellious. Dad had moved to Diphu a (mega town or you can say district capital) for further studies in the district's government college.

My dad is said to have bad boy vibes during his youth, he has many friends.My dad was really good at math that even the mentor was proven wrong as dad's answer was correct after arguing countless times with his mentor. After his 10th standard dad wanted to study commerce but due to his family pressure he had to take Science. After passing his 12 standard for his bachelor's degree dad had joined to study at the states best institution at that time (Cotton College) but due to some reasons grandfather was suspended from his post for a period of time dad had to come back due financial problems as dad doesn't even have money to pay for the hostel dues. so he came back home. My grandpa gets his post back after 1 year as he was not proven guilty. But dad stops studying and refuses further study as firstly he was rebellious, and thought he has missed the best chance to study and was left behind by his peers and friends.
