The Beginning of Silence
Aira Quinn (FL)
Hi guys, please support me, hope you guys will enjoy ❤️😊
Aira, age 6 / Kian, age 11
Aira had always thought her brother was strange.
Kian never played with her the way her friend's brother did. He didn't ruffle her hair or joke around. Instead, he watched her - quietly, often when no one else was around. His eyes were always cold, even when he smiled.
It started one night when the house was quiet.
Their parents were in the next room. Arguing about something She couldn't understand. she was sitting on the floor, coloring a picture of a flower. Kian came in and set behind her.
Kian (Age 11)
"let's play a secret game."
She looked up, confused and clueless.
Aira (Age 6)
"What kind of game?"
Kian (Age 11)
"one you don't tell anyone."
she didn't understand it. she didn't know what it meant. but she knew one thing: she didn't like it.
Not the way he touched her, not the way he said her name, not the way he locked the door when he entered the room
And somehow, she knew not to tell.

Eight standard - Aira, age 13
The day she realized it wasn't just her imagination was the day her childhood finally shattered.
The classroom was warm, the teacher boring. She was doodling in her notebook when the words slipped out casually from the front of the room.
"Sometimes, abuse happens in the home. Sometimes, from someone you know. Even a sibling. It can start when you're very young, and you may not realize until years later."
The word 'sibling' hit like a lightning strike.
Aira sat still. Every breath felt like it weighed a hundred pounds.
Her mind started racing.
The locked door.
The strange "games".
The voice that whispered "Don't tell".
Her heart felt it was caving in.
She wasn't crazy.
she hadn't imagined it.
it wasn't her fault.
She left the classroom early that day. No one stopped her.
Trying To Tell
Aira waited for the right time. She practiced the words in her head a thousand times.
But when she finally said them, her mother didn’t even blink.
Clara Quinn (Fl's Mother)
"He did what?” (she said flatly)

“When I was little… first standard,” (Aira whispered). “He… touched me. In a wrong way. I didn’t know what it was back then, but now I do.”
Her mother stared at her in silence for a few seconds too long.
And then — she laughed. A small, bitter, uncomfortable sound.
Clara Quinn (Fl's Mother)
“Aira, stop watching those disgusting online dramas. You're imagining things. Kian was just a child himself.”
Aira Quinn (FL)
“No,” ( voice rising for the first time). “He knew what he was doing. He was in sixth. He—”
Clara Quinn (Fl's Mother)
“That’s enough.” (she stood up). “I won’t hear another word against your brother.”
That night, Aira didn’t sleep.
Not because of fear.
Because the people who should’ve protected her… had chosen to protect him instead.
