VIOLET’s POV
I trudged through the school hallways, my eyes fixed on the floor. Another day, another struggle. My scholarship was on the line, and I was barely scraping by.
"Hey, Violet! What's wrong?" my best friend, Rachel, asked, catching up to me.
"I don't know how I'm going to pay for school," I sighed. "The scholarship is barely covering my tuition, and my living expenses are killing me."
Rachel nodded sympathetically. "We'll figure it out. Maybe we can get part-time jobs or something."
I smiled weakly. "I've been applying everywhere, but no one wants to hire me."
As I walked through the crowded hallway, my eyes met his. He stood out from the sea of students, his chiseled features and piercing gaze commanding attention. His dark hair was perfectly styled, framing his strong jawline and full lips. His eyes, a deep, piercing blue, seemed to see right through me.
He was tall, at least 6'4", with broad shoulders and a lean physique that hinted at a athletic build. His tailored suit and crisp white shirt gave him an air of sophistication, making him look more like a model than a student.
Despite the crowd around us, he seemed isolated, his focus solely on me. His gaze was intense, almost... possessive. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he watched me, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Who's that?" I whispered to Rachel, nodding towards the mysterious guy.
Rachel followed my gaze. "Oh, that's just some rich guy. I've seen him around, but I don't know his name."
The guy's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I quickly looked away.
In class, I couldn't focus. My mind was consumed by thoughts of my financial struggles and the mysterious guy's piercing gaze.
After class, Rachel and I headed to the cafeteria. As we waited in line, I noticed the guy again. This time, he was standing right behind us.
"Violet," he whispered, his breath sending shivers down my spine.
I spun around, but he was gone. Rachel looked at me, confused.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"I thought someone was talking to me," I said, scanning the crowd.
But I knew I hadn't imagined it. The voice had been low, husky, and unmistakable.
I couldn't shake off the feeling that the mysterious guy was watching me. Every time I turned around, I expected to see him lurking in the shadows. Rachel noticed my distraction and teased me about having a secret admirer.
As we sat in the cafeteria, I spotted him again - this time, sitting alone at a table, sipping a cup of coffee. His eyes met mine, and I felt a jolt of electricity. I quickly looked away, my heart racing.
"Violet, what's going on?" Rachel asked, noticing my flushed face. "You're acting weird."
I shrugged it off, but Rachel wasn't buying it. "You've been staring at that guy all day. Do you know him?"
I hesitated, unsure of how to explain the strange encounters. "I don't know, it's just...he keeps looking at me, and I feel like he's following me."
Rachel's expression turned serious. "Maybe you should talk to him, see what's going on."
I shook my head. "No way, I'm not going to approach some creepy stranger."
But as we left the cafeteria, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was him.
"Violet," he said, his voice low and smooth. "We need to talk."
My heart skipped a beat as I turned to face him. "What do you want?"
He smiled, his eyes glinting with intensity. "I've been waiting for you, Violet. For a very long time."
Suddenly, Rachel grabbed my arm and pulled me away. "Let's go, Violet. We don't need to talk to him."
As we walked away, I felt his eyes on me, burning with an intensity that made my skin crawl. Who was this guy, and what did he want from me?
VIOLET’s
As he approached me, I felt a mix of fear and fascination. Who was this guy, and what did he want? Rachel seemed to sense my unease and grabbed my arm, ready to intervene.
"Violet," he said, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine. "We need to talk."
I hesitated, unsure of what to do. Rachel stepped forward, her eyes flashing with protectiveness.
"Who are you?" she demanded. "And what do you want with Violet?"
The guy's gaze didn't waver from mine. "My name is Leonardo," he said, his voice low and smooth. "And I've been waiting for Violet for a very long time."
Waiting for me? What did that even mean? I felt a shiver run down my spine as Leonardo's eyes seemed to bore into my soul.
"Waiting for me?" I repeated, trying to sound calm. "What do you mean?"
Leonardo's gaze never left mine. "I've been watching you, Violet. I know everything about you. Your struggles, your fears, your dreams."
I felt a surge of fear. How did he know all this? Was he some kind of stalker?
"What's going on here?" a teacher asked, approaching us. "Is everything okay?"
Leonardo's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to flash with annoyance. "Everything's fine," he said, his voice smooth as silk. "Just having a conversation with Violet here."
The teacher looked skeptical, but she nodded and continued on her way. Leonardo turned back to me.
"Let's talk somewhere more private," he said, his voice low and husky.
I hesitated, unsure of what to do. Rachel seemed to sense my unease and stepped forward.
"Violet doesn't want to talk to you," she said, her voice firm.
But Leonardo just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I think Violet does want to talk to me," he said. "Don't you, Violet?"
I felt a shiver run down my spine as Leonardo's eyes seemed to bore into my soul. How did he know me so well? And what did he want from me?
"Let's talk," I said finally, my voice barely above a whisper.
Rachel looked at me like I'd lost my mind, but Leonardo just smiled and nodded. "Follow me," he said, turning and walking away.
I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I was making a huge mistake. But something about Leonardo drew me in, something that made me want to know more about him.
As I followed him, Rachel grabbed my arm and whispered, "Are you sure this is a good idea?"
I nodded, trying to look more confident than I felt. "I'll be fine," I said. "Just go to class, I'll catch up with you later."
Rachel looked uncertain, but she nodded and headed off to class. I followed Leonardo to a secluded spot outside the school, my heart pounding in my chest.
What was I getting myself into?
Leonardo led me to a quaint café near the campus. We sat down at a corner table, and he ordered us coffee.
"So, Violet," he said, his eyes locked on mine. "I know you're struggling with tuition. I'd like to offer you a part-time job that can help cover your expenses."
I was taken aback. "What kind of job?"
"Administrative work at one of my companies," he replied smoothly. "You'll work part-time, and the pay is more than enough to cover your tuition."
I hesitated, unsure if I should trust him. But the prospect of financial stability was tempting.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked, searching for ulterior motives.
Leonardo smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I want to help you, Violet. And I'd like to get to know you better. We can be friends, right?"
Something about his smile seemed off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I nodded, and we discussed the job details.
As we parted ways, I couldn't shake off the feeling that Leonardo's intentions were more complex than just friendship...
VIOLET’s POV
I started working at Leonardo's company, and it was surprisingly easy. The work was manageable, and the pay was excellent. Leonardo would often drop by to check on me, and we'd chat about nothing in particular.
One day, as I was working on a report, Leonardo appeared beside me. "How's it going? Is School and work manageable for you?" he asked, his voice low.
I smiled, feeling a sense of comfort around him. "It's going well, thanks. Thank you so much for hiring me, this has been a great help for my financial problems sir."
He nodded and sat down beside me. "I'm glad to hear that. You're doing great work, Violet. And Please call me Leonardo." He says it inching a bit closer to me.
As he murmur it over my shoulder, his proximty made my heart skip a beat. I tried to focus on my work, but I could feel his eyes on me.
Suddenly, he stepped back and reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. The touch sent shivers down my spine.
"Sorry," he said, his voice low and husky. "I didn't mean to startle you."
I turned to face him, our eyes locking in a charged moment. For a second, I forgot to breathe.
"Leonardo," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
He leaned in closer, his face inches from mine. "Yes, Violet?"
My heart was racing, and I knew I had to pull back. But I couldn't seem to move.“My name is so beautiful when you say it,” he whispered more to him self, but I heard it.
Just as it seemed like he was going to kiss me, he stood up and smiled. "I'll let you get back to work," he said, his voice casual.
I watched him walk away, feeling confused and frustrated. What was Leonardo's game? And why couldn't I seem to resist him?
And it was so dumb that I assume he was going to kiss me! Aghhh! What is going on with you Violet?!!. Are. You. Ok?!. OMG he was actually so close to me, this is stupid stupid stupid! Agghhh.
LEONARDO’s POV
I walked away from Violet, trying to calm the storm brewing inside me. Seeing her in my office, surrounded by the sterile environment, only made me want her more.
I couldn't believe how close I came to kissing her. My plan was to seduce her slowly, to make her fall for me. But being near her was like a ticking time bomb - I never knew when I'd lose control.
As I sat in my office, staring out the window, I couldn't help but think about Violet's innocence. She was like a ray of sunlight in my dark world, and I was drawn to her like a moth to flame.
My phone buzzed, breaking the spell. I answered, my voice firm. "What is it?"
"Leonardo, we've got a problem," my assistant said. "There's been a development with Violet's past."
My interest piqued, I leaned forward. "What kind of development?"
"Apparently, she's not who she seems to be," my assistant replied. "There's more to her story than she's letting on."
A spark of curiosity ignited within me. What secrets was Violet hiding? And how would they affect my plans?
"I want to know everything," I said, my voice cold. "Dig deeper and get back to me."
As I hung up, my mind was racing with possibilities. Violet's secrets could either bring us closer or drive us apart. Either way, I was determined to uncover the truth.
