On a hot sunny day walking there was a girl name Alice who wants to enjoy her youthful life. She was walking happily as she strolled everywhere she finds interested. The most interesting she finds were foods. Fill up her stomach was her priority.

"Wow! Amazing! I wish I had done it sooner. Why no one tell me about this place?" She exclaimed as she continued looking around.

She was amazed by how the streets fill with so much fun places and foods. And of course her cousin who she likes is always asked her to hang out but she refused. She was in love with novels and comics that she forgot how beautiful reality is. Of course she went to school and out sometime when she wants foods or personal needs but she never went as far as this one so it's new to her.

"Mom, is she crazy?" Passerby, a boy asked his mom.

"Shh, don't say that." His mom face turn red as her son speaks so loud that other passerby look at them.

"But mom, why did she talk and laugh like that? She's not a kid." The boy said.

"Quiet! She will hear you." The mother said as they both disappear into the crowd.

"Ah really, I can hear you, you know." She rolls her eyes as she turn to her left and continued strolling. She walk and walk and as the sun goes down she is tired and feel a need to rest before she went home. She looked around to find a place to rest and there she found a perfect spot between building. As she walk closer she heard a grunt. She looked around and saw a person wearing all black lied on the floor; in the alley near the bench she wanted to rest. She carelessly walked towards that person.

"Sir?" She called out with a low voice. The man turn his head to where she stands. She gasps at the sight and hurriedly walk to his side.

"Oh my god! You've coughed blood!" She panicked.

"I—I'm fine." The man coughs in between his sentence.

"You don't look fine. I should called an ambulance." She was worried.

"Please don't call. I'm fine." The man tried to seat up and he left out a low groan as he's in pain. Alice quickly help him seat up. The man didn't say anything. He left out a long deep breath as he slowly close his eyes.

Alice reach out her hand and touch his forehead and face to check if he had fever. The man quickly open his eyes and push her hand away.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"To check if you have fever, of course." She answered.

"Now that you done please leave." He said.

"I can't leave an injured person out here alone." She sternly said.

"Who said I was injured? You go on and leave me. I don't need such an idiotic person near me." He said.

'What an arrogant he is! Even on the edge of a cliff he is arrogant.' Alice thought.

"Fine! I don't want to help such an arrogant person like you too." And then she stormed off. And he was left all alone.

"What a weird girl." The man said as he tried to get up from the dirty floor. He left out a moan as his abdomen is hurt. He looks down and eyes fix to his palm.. he looks up hearing footsteps approach and left out a sigh of relief.

"Finally you're here." He softly said. His eyes start to drift as he lost conscious.

Meanwhile—

"I'm home!" Alice said as she quickly takes out her shoes and walk to her room.

"How was it?" Her mom entered her room. She standing by the door as she's waiting curiously.

"How was what?" She asked as she change her clothes to her PJs.

"You went out to see the world, no?" Her mother asks.

"Ah yes, I really enjoyed it.. why didn't you tell me sooner?" Alice asked as she took a seat on her desk ready to do her homework.

"Do you think I wouldn't try? All you do is go to school, do homework, and ready your comic. You should go out once in awhile too to fresh up your inner. Alice, honey, I wonder why you are so popular at school when you don't know the worlds out there?" Her mom said crossing her arms.

"How do you know I was popular when I didn't even know myself?" She asks. "Did Chase said that?"

"Yep, he said you are so popular at school because of your beauty. Well, you got that look from me so no wonder boys are head over heal for you." Her mother said and Alice not her other head mentally face palm.

"Anyway! You should go out more. Don't stay inside too much." Her mother said.

"I will... I didn't think such a beautiful world existed. I'm glad I went out today."

"You should be thankful that I am the one who nag you to go out." Her mother replied.

"Yes, yes. Thank you, ma'am." She said as she did her homework.

"I'm home! Where is my little sister?" A man call out as he entered the house.

"Welcome back big bro! How was your job?" Alice come out of her room and greet her brother with a smile on her face.

"It was okay.. I was so tired." He replied. He came closer to his sister and give her a pat on the head. "I'm heading to my room. Good night." He said.

"Good night!" She quickly replied. "And good night to you too, mom." She said as she turn to her mom.

"Good night, sweetie."

The same night—

Inside the room standing there is a man. He nervously stand there waiting for his boss to regain conscience. The boss slowly open his eyes and because of his injuries, he left out a groan as he tried to stand up.

"The doctor said you have to rest as much as possible in order to heal you wound faster." The man in black suits said and the boss lay back down to his bed.

"I'm sorry for returning late, sir. I promised I would protect you no matter what but I failed." The man apologized. He lower his head ready to get punished by his boss.

"It's okay as long as you're fine. But anyway, what happened to those people?" The boss asked. The man look a little bit confused. At the first day of his job he heard a rumor that said the boss is as cold as ice and that he never accepted anyone who make a mistake. But the boss right now is different from what he heard.

"I lost them, sir. I'm sorry for disappointing you." He said.

"Leo... It's fine. Did you close the bar?" The boss asked.

"No, sir. Chase took care of it." Leo replied.

"Okay, I'm going to rest now. You can go back to your place. I'll be fine at home so you don't need to worry."  The boss said and Leo nod.

Leo start this job a month ago and he never had this long conversation with his boss like this. Actually, he was scared. It was his very first job and after hearing a rumor from the customer, he would be on guard of what he do. He didn't want to make a mistake. He didn't want to get fire from the very first job he gets so he was always be careful of what he did until last night that he make a mistake.

Leo left out a sigh of relief.

"I was worried for nothing." He softly said.

The next day

Campus

"Alice! You're here so early! Do you know what happened last night?" Elena, Alice close friend asked as soon as she entered the class room.

"No." Alice quickly replied with a stern look on her face. She's still thinking about the man she met last night.

"I want to talk to you about what happened last night but you're not curious at all. At least try to pretend you're curious." Elena said rolling her eyes. She pulled out the chair and take a seat right beside Alice.

"Alright, what happened last night?" Alice turned her head to Elena giving her full attention.

"I was almost kidnapped last night. I was walking home after going to store and suddenly three man approached me. They look suspicious and so I ran as fast as I could but they ran faster than me so they caught me. One of them hold me and one covered my head with bags.  As they covered my head I heard a thud. The man who hold me lose his hand on me so I took out the bed on my head. Then I saw two men fighting with the three. One of the man wear black hoodie. As the fight going on I forgot to run—-." She didn't finish her sentences yet but she was cut of by Alice.

"The man in black hoodie? Did he also wear gloves? Is he 6 ft tall and he has this bright aura around him?" Alice asked.

"Yes, he did wear gloves and 6 ft tall but I didn't see any bright light around him. Oh and he was stabbed on the abdomen." Elena said and Alice snapped her fingers.

"That's the one!. I met him last night too.. he was in pain but he refused my help. Such an arrogant but I like him. He's so handsome!"

"OMG girl, you like him as in a romantic way? The almighty angel is liking someone?!" Elena looked surprise. He was Alice friend since high school and she never see Alice likes anyone. This is her first time.

"Elena! You idiot! I don't want to have more attention than I already have." Alice facepalm. She put her head on the table without saying anything else.

Before she knew it, the class is already over. She walked side by side with Elena. She still didn't say anything to Elena.

"Alice, are you angry at me?" Elena feels uneasy as Alice keeps quiet.

"No, why would I be angry at you." Alice replied still lost in thought.

"Then why didn't you talk to me the whole day?" Elena asked.

"I was thinking." Alice replied.

"Thinking about what?" She asked.

"I wondered why someone like me had so much attention. I mean there are a lot of smart and pretty girls in the campus, like you, but why am I the only on receiving attention?" Alice asked curiously.

"You're smart, pretty, and also the type to never give a ****. That's what attracts men." Elena said.

"What are you saying? I do give a **** though. I would slap or punch anyone who mess with me." Alice said.

"That's exactly what I was saying." Elena left out a long sigh. She gave in. She never win against Alice in any way.

"Should we go to bar? I feel like going to bar." Alice said.

"Are you kidding me? We are not even adults yet. I mean we are adult but not the age where we can drink yet." Elena said.

"Who say there's not juice at the bar. Come on!" Alice pulled Elena along with her.

"Alice, your brother going to kill me." Elena said with a worried look on her face.

"Shh! I know you like him but don't say anything. You know him. Nothing good coming out if you tell him. You'll be also doomed like me." Alice said with a freaky laugh.

"Fine! Where should we go? I have never go to bar so I don't know." Elena said.

"Girl, I've never been to one either but I know just one that I want to go. Come on, follow me!"
