I wake up to another boring day in sidequest. My name is Cassey, and my last name is not your business. Anyway, I’m about to get sent on a quest. Ok, reaturning to real time. So after I had awoken, I went to get breakfast at the breakfast table. That is a tavern. Not my table. Brayson, Andrew, Leah, and Violet came to sit next to me. “Cassey, what are you doing today?” Said Andrew. “The norm, you?” I said with a omelette slowly disintegrating in my mouth. “So, the rumor going around is that a Dragon is going to attack Sidequest. Crazy, right?” He said. “Yeah, crazy.” I said. “You still haven’t answered my question.” Andrew looked like he was pondering something. Just when he was about to say something, a woman came into the tavern, and said: “THE ELDER DRAGON IS HERE! HE IS GOING TO DESTROY THE VILLAGE! WE NEED A SACRIFICE! How about you?” She pointed a finger at me. “Me? No, you can’t-“ but she took me away and tied me up. “I’m too young to die!” I wailed. It was no use. They left me before the gate to the village. Andrew came running in to save me, closely followed by Violet, Leah, and Brayson. They were stoped at the village gates. “Cassey!!!” They all shouted. The elder dragon came and I waited for when it devoured me. It reared up it’s ginormous head and swallowed me in one gulp. As soon as i hit it’s stomach acids, i felt a burning pain and-… I wake up to another ear boring day in Homequest. “Princess Lillian.” I heard someone’s whisper piece my train of thought. Lillian? Wasn’t my name Cassey? And princess? Where was I? Who was I?

“Princess Lillian! Prince Andre is here. And he wants to see you. Let me help you get dressed.” A maid came, and started to choose and outfit for me.

Who was Andre? I thought. “I want to choose my own outfit, please and thanks.” I pick a magnificent purple dress. After I get it on, I go down the stairs, expecting to see a fancy spoiled prince- but it was Andrew that stood right at the bottom of the velvet carpeted stairs. My first impulse to say ‘Andrew oh my goodness where are we.’ But i have read enough fairytales to se the fault in those words. Then Andrew-I mean Andre grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the castle we were in. And said, in a voice that is totally not Andrew’s, “you are going to be our sacrifice to the dragons. They are hungry and why in the world are you wearing such a expensive dress? Oh nevermind. You are the youngest daughter of the king and this is your purpose.” “But I’m to young to die!” I wailed but it was no use. And you know what happens next. Up to the burning pain. So this happens again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again, and i can’t stopped it! Until someone comes and pulls me out of this time loop thingy, ant takes my into darkness.

“Hey! Who are you?” I said to the mysterious human that’s had taken me out of the… time loop? I think that is what I was in, but anyway, then the person said,

“我的名字是阴” and it sounded like a male’s voice. So I said “I don’t speak Chinese.” And then he said “Oh right. Then my name is Yin Long the lemur.”he said. “Wait, did you say lemur?” And just as I said it, I noticed the tail swishing close to the ground. “You have… a tail… that is kind of cool. So, Yin Long, where am I?” “In the virtual world of Rampage Quest 2” he said. “Rampage Quest 2?” I said in a questioning tone. “Yes, this is a video game, from the 37th century.” Yin said. “Now, let’s go.” “Go where?” I asked. “Back to Sidequest. That’s my home too. I miss Andrew and Bryson.” He said. “You know Andrew and Bryson?” I asked. “Yes, Andrew is my brother, and Brayson is his friend.” He said. And then he made a portal out of thin air, and stepped through it. “Are you coming?” He asked. “Yes, I’m coming.” I answered him.

Back at Sidequest, it was morning again, and i felt like the same time loop would happen again if I wasn’t carefull. Then Yin took me to The Breakfast Table, and we spotted a open table and sat down. Soon after, Andrew, Leah, Violet, and Bryson came in. “Andrew, I din’t know you had a brother.” I Said. Then something happened, Andrew, Leah, Violet, and Bryson glitched. Like severely, and then everyone else started glitching, and then everything when dark.

When I opened my eyes next, Yin was siting across from me, and we were at a campsite in the Forrest next to Sidequest. “You’re awake.” He said. “Yep, now where are we?” I asked him. “In the Forrest next to Sidequest, the town. We are going to seek shelter with the player.” He said. “What is a player?” I asked. “The player is the one who played the video game, or in this case, Rampage Quest 2.” He said. “When will we getting there?” I asked him. “About 3 days, if were lucky.” “And if we aren’t?” I asked. “Maybe a week.” He said.

It was a week. I was not accustom to the wild lands of my home, there was a mountain, a swamp, a forest, and much more.

That one week felt like me a year. A literal year. But we got there, and Yin said to wait outside for the player to enter the house. When he did, we waited a day for him to come to us, because that is wat NPC’s usually do. “What are NPC’s?” I asked him when he explained this to me. “An NPC is a non-player character, it’s what the players call us.” He said. “Oh, ok. Thanks for clarification.” I said. Just then he, I mean the player, came onto view, and stoped when he saw us.

“Hey, sis, you still doing low level quests?” He said. And he was addressing me.

“Sis? Who are you? What are you?” Is what I wanted to say, but I held my tongue, and waited. “Casandrara?” He said. “How do you know my name?” I said in a worried tone. “Um, I’m your brother? Are you alright Cassey?” He said. “… I don’t understand, your my brother, but I don’t know you at all.” I said. “…Are you the player?” Yin asked. “I don’t know…” I answered. “Wait, did you put on the filter for removing memory? And the log out button? And teleportation? And all of the Player benefits?” He said. He looked like he was going crazy. “Excuse me, what is your name?” I asked. “You would know that if you didn’t do the filters!” He said. “What is your name?!?” I said again, more forcefully. “Zakaris!” He said. He was really going crazy now. “Can you calm down?” Asked Yin. “NO! I CAN’T” He answered. “Please?” I asked. “Then he disappeared before our eyes.

“Mom! Cass put on one of the filters that made her unable to log out!” Said someone in the distance. A notice popped up un my HUD saying that I had reached my limit on my VR visor, and that it was logging me out. “Mom! I’m feeling tired, and I’m gonna go to bed.” I said. “See, Zak? She’s fine. Nothing to worry about.” Said Mom, who’s real name is Evalyn. “I’m telling you, this could put her in serious trouble! This could put her in a very bad situation!!!” Said Zakaris. “If that ever happens, then I will deal with it. And so will your father.” Says mom. The conversation between Zakaris and Mom grows distant as I walk to my closet and get into pajamas. Then I Get i bed, put out the lights, and go to sleep.

“Siiiiisssss…….” Calls Zak. “Coooooooommmmmmmiinnggggg!!” I say. “Wassup people!” I say when I walk into the kitchen. “‘Wassup’ doesn’t even mean anything to me.” Says me dad, who’s real name is Duke. “Waddaya mean?” I say. “You do that to me and Mom and Zak, all the time!” I say. “So?” He says. “Duke, please let her off the hook forr now, she just got out of bed…” Says Mom. “We need to talk about this later, OK?” Says Dad. “Fine, at 3:00?” I say. “12:00.” He says. “But the quest… I need to to 3:00..” “Fine, 3:00” He says. “Then I’m going to eat, then go gaming with Mia, OK?” I ask my family. “Be back by 2:00, got it?” Dad says. “Got it.” I say.

“Go girl! Hit! Dodge! Run! Hit! Risky hit! Dodge! Hit! Hit! Hit! Hit! Oh! Bad luck, better next time.” Says Mia, my one and only friend. And she was encouraging me on my 1064th try at Risk Road, the newest fitting sim on the internet, and we were playing it in an 2020 arcade. Incase you were wondering, the current year is 2429, and me and Mia were crushing it, until our first year in college, then everything went downhill.
