A stream of tears rolled down her cheeks as the uneasiness spread in her heart. She bit down her lower lip nervously to prevent the sob from escaping ,clasping her hand tightly . Her mind was fuzzy trying hard to process the event that happened a while ago.
why did I end up here? All I tried was to help.
Her mind clogged with unanswered questions but in return she got nothing. She looked at the man next to her seated beside her being unbothered.
How can he stay calm after her caused the whole ruckus!!
She flinched from her position hearing the start of the car. The man beside her gave an ambiguous smirk at her.
"What a pity" He snickered but she looked away , clenching her teeth subsiding her anger down.
She didn't want to show her weak side to him who turned it way to difficult for her.
The driver drove to the unknow destination. All she was doing was to attend her friends wedding peacefully but unfortunately it had turned her's instead.
Flashback:
"You have not given anything i have demanded. How in the hell do you expect me to marry your daughter" She heard her friend's fiancé yell at her father . He refused to marry her friend only because he didn't get what he needs.
"Austin, I will give you anything you want. Don't call off the marriage .Please" She saw the the elder man fold his hands begging while he just shook his head being stubborn and arrogant.
"I am not marrying your daughter until i get anything you old man. Just give me---"
His words were interrupted as his face was turned sideways because of a huge blow of slap that he received from her.
Earning gasps from the people around her, she stood still with her eyes glaring at his with outmost hatred.
He was beyond pissed and raised his head glaring back at her.
"How dare you!!!" He screamed, grabbing her arms but she quickly pushed him away.
"How dare you!! How can you disrespect my friends father and call off the marriage" She pointed out her finger at him, yelling at the man.
She was beyond angry.
"Its non of your fucking business. So stay out of it" He gritted his teeth angrily, as he could feel the humiliation and the sting because of the slap.
"What the hell dude!! I am helping my fried out. So i am not staying out of it you moron" She yelled back with irritation not averting her gaze.
"Olivia let it be" her friend whispered and pulled her back to her side. But she was in rage.
How can he be so cruel to say he wont marry on a day of marriage...
"I will not leav---" Her words halted by his deep voice.
"I will marry her.."
She turned around to look at his viscous smirk.
"Good" She snorted and stepped back to get ready for the wedding.
But she felt a jerk because of the grip on her wrist.
"I will marry her" He repeated again looking at her eyes still clenching his jaw.
"Go and marr---"
"I will marry you" He smirked as she widened her eyes.
She tried hard to get away from his tightened grip but was in vail. She tried slapping his face again but her movements were restricted as he caught her hand mid air.
"I will never marry a bastard like you!!" She groaned as he tugged her arms behind her earning a smirk in return.
"OHHH..Take them hostage to gun point. Lets see what your going to do" Her eyes widened in shock as she tried her best to get away from her grip wriggling. The men in black suits pointed the guns at everyone present in the dressing room.
"Either you marry me or they die babygirl" He whispered in her ears making her drown in her thoughts .
She didn't had any option. She was the bait in the end of this huge chaos.
And in the end they married without any blessing and interest. The day ended with her sorrow dwellings.
End of flashback:
The silence filled inside the huge apartment. She just tagged along with him feeling inferior and nervous.
"Let me meet my dad for once" She tried hard not to cry but was betrayed as she quivered.
In return she just got a dark chuckle. He scoffed and went away to sit down on the couch.
"Sadist bastard" She whispered under her breath .
Austin glared at her fuming in anger. He caught her wrist dragging her to the bedroom.
"Leave me alone, You bastard' She screamed and tried to pull back but was too strong to break free.
"An other word from that stupid mouth of yours it will get harder" Austin warned her while she snatched her hand away massaging.
"This marriage is so lame. I am going to my house. You cant do anything about it you dumber" You sneered.
"Oh really!! Maybe you will listen once i say that your Dad's in this part too" He smirked
"What in hell are you talking?? Don't you dare accuse my dad" She screamed at him.
"Why not?? Let me show you his true colors" He scoffed taking his phone.
"Mr. Wright. Thank you so much for getting me rid of her. She is quite useful for chores and other household stuff" Her Dad spoke excitedly. She stood there perplexed, not understanding the situation.
"What do you mean Dad" Her voice quivered in pain. Unknowingly tears rolled down her cheeks making her hard to breath.
"Olivia, you are now married. Just live happily and stop disturbing us. You should be thankful to Austin for taking you in" He muttered.
The whole world went crushing underneath. You couldn't believe that your own dad was speaking like this.
"No..you cant do this to me. I am not someone you can just throw away. I am your daughter" She cried her heart out listening to her dad doing this to her.
It was true she never had a good relationship with her dad. Her step mom and sister made it even difficult for her after her mom died. They never appreciated her or acknowledged. She had a slight hope that her dad would support her in life.
But life was so cruel on her that it became harder to live in the world.
You wanted to know the reason but he caught the call.
Austin stood their smirking at her.
Slight sobs erupted from her. She couldn't understand what she has done wrong. Everything collapsed in a night.
"You do realize that you were practically sold to me?" His harsh words hit directly in her heart.
He laughed viciously and sneered.
"You were only worth a 50 thousand USD only!!" He flicked his tongues and shook his head.
"Baby, now no one needs you. Its me you are going to spend the rest of your life" He gripped her chin pulling her face to face him.
"Everything was going so well but you had the guts to slap me" He gritted and pinched her chin. She flinched under his touch.
"That slap was not under the plan baby. Your friend too betrayed you" He sneered again pushing her away.
"What??" She asked not able to take in the information.
"Oh please don't act dumb. She and her whole family was involved in selling you off. They didn't care bout you" she gulped a huge lump in her throat.
How did things turn out this way
"Money can do anything. They were greedy enough. What a pity that your best friend betrayed you" he spat as she looked down biting her lips.
The truth made her heart break into pieces and it became harder for her to believe anyone this time.
Austin was never interested in marriage. That was his least priority. But he was desperate for one thing that her dad company bought. It was the art piece. He was fine in paying a huge amount in getting the art piece but her dad made a deal off him getting married to her.
He didn't have any chance but to accept.
But he was so furious of her acting really feisty. He was beyond pissed when he got slapped.
"For what did he sell me?? This is really unfair" she whispered slowly.
"I wanted the art piece your dad bought. And unfair?? You should have thought that before raising your hand on me" He rolled his eyes.
"Just for a art piece you had to go for such length. Disgusting" She clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"That just not some simple art piece. You are my wife now only through a contract. So just deal with it that i am giving a place to live" He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
She growled and looked away.
He went away not wanting to have any conversations with her.
She walked to the guest room slowly settling down.
She gripped on the dress tighter as tears rolled down her cheeks again.
She was scared to be alone now.
The rest of the night she had various thoughts and it became harder for her to believe the reality.
Is this how my life is going to be till the end....
Olivia woke up as the sun rays hit her warm face. She whined getting up lazily. She still couldn't believe that she became a responsible and a married woman.
Slowly getting up to get ready she was ready to start her marriage day with peace.
She went to the kitchen to make something for herself to eat. She didn't see Austin in sight.
Sighing, she took the pan and the ingredients starting to cook her favorite sandwich.
The bell rang suddenly as she wiped her hands off with a cloth and went to the door to see the unwanted guest.
A woman in skinny jeans and tight fit marron blouse with high heels. Her blonde hair permed and her face caked up with makeup.
Olivia looked at her confused.
"Oh..so you are that girl he got married too.." The blonde disgustedly looked at her from top to toe.
Olivia frowned and asked.." Who are you Ms.?" still blocking the way from the door.
"You don't need to know bitch. Now get away. I need to meet my babe.." She pushed her and walked inside the house waving her hips side to side while clicking her heels hard on the ground..
"Babe..." The woman cooed as she cling onto Austin who just came down freshened up.
Austin smirked looking at Olivia's frustrated face.
He already has a girlfriend!! Why in the hell did he marry me!!
Olivia shrugged leaving the couple and went to eat her breakfast.
"Babe I missed you.." The woman cooed pressing herself onto Austin.
"So this is that girl who you bought.. Damn no wonder she was cheap" The woman sneered.
Olivia just sat there quiet ignoring her so called insults. She was immune to it that she didn't care anymore.
"Where is my breakfast??" Austin asked ignoring the woman in front.
"I didn't make anything for you" Olivia nonchalantly replied.
"What!! Go make something for me" He shrieked.
"I am not your slave. I am not going to make anything to you. You can go and make it yourself" She crossed her arms and sat still.
"Bitch.. stop shouting at my babe. You are no less than a slave. Know your limits" The woman in front of him screamed.
"Then Miss.. tell your so called Babe to stop irritating me , then I will too. And I know my limits not like you barging in the morning making a damn scene". Olivia retorted back standing up.
"You..." The woman raised her hand but Austin stopped her.
"Jane wait outside. Let me deal with it" He whispered as the she left angrily.
Austin dark eyes turned towards her as she felt herself being small.
"That mouth of yours is so damn foul. Don't ever talk back. Remember I bought you. You would have just gotten sold to some big *** pervert. So be thankful to me" He relied venomously.
That hit Olivia to the nerve. Austin knows how sensitive that topic is and he wanted to take control over her to stop her attitude.
"You don't need to remind me that I got sold.. You already made it way worse" She muttered under her breath.
Austin could clearly hear her reply and shrugged off.
"Next time don't talk back. Anyways you are jobless, so make dinner for me" He said and walked out of the office for work.
And here again Olivia was all alone in the house.
Sighing herself she washed the utensils and cleaned the house to kill her time.
The fact that she was jobless was somewhat true. Her father never cared about her likes and interests. She secretly used to work in a café as a par timer and writer. She used to write short stories or blogs and got paid for the work. Rather than that she didn't do anything.
Her dream was to publish a book but it was buried deep under and people didn't recognize her anymore.
She felt she was living under a shadow of someone. Before it was her Dad and now its Austin, her husband.
She completed her work and took nap as it was almost lunch.
She ate her lunch peacefully without getting disturbed.
Austin was busy with his work load. Jane kept hanging around him for almost every time irritating his a lot. In the end he just got rid of her in the end.
The marriage was stressing him a lot. He never liked anyone and just accepted them to kill him own time.
But when he married Olivia it became his responsibility now.
Even though he despised her because of her attitude he never want to get stepped up. He tried his best not to get angry. In the end he left her to be alone and he wanted peace.
"Hey buddy ..how you doing?? How did it go yesterday!!!" His best friend, Paul Smith entered his office breaking his thoughts.
Austin rolled his eyes and looked down at his laptop.
"What!! Did you have fun??" Paul smirked and sat on the couch.
"Shut up Paul. You know what this marriage means to me.." He muttered.
"You destroyed all the fun. Why cant you just be with that girl. She seems a lot nicer and sweater than that bitch Jane. Just give it a try man.." Paul whined.
Austin glared at him.
"Don't forget that her father just sold her off to me. I don't have anything to do with her" Austin replied back.
"Fine... don't regret again. Anyway i am hosting a party this Saturday. Come with your wife" Paul excitedly pushed the invitation on the desk.
Austin shook his head.
"I swear if you and your wife don't come I am going to make a huge scene. Bring your wife for sure. She will have fun" Paul threatened while Austin sighed and nodded.
Now how will i convince her..
It was almost dinner time Olivia was making food while Austin drove back tired to the house.
As soon as he reached he could sense the aroma of food making his senses go up craving for food.
He glanced at you cooking effortlessly.
Olivia was stunned seeing Austin as he went upstairs to get ready.
She served the food on the table as Austin came downstairs to eat.
Both of them didn't talk and just concentrated on their food. Austin loved the food but he didn't compliment her cause of his high ego.
While on the other hand Olivia was waiting for his reply, but in return she got none.
"There is a party this Saturday and you should come with me" He broke the ice.
"And why should i come. Cant you just go with your girlfriend Jane" She replied looking down.
"I would gladly like too but my friends want to see the so called wife i married so have no option" He sneered
She scoffed and muttered curses.
She just nodded.
And they just parted their ways completing their dinner.
She washed her dishes and went to bed.
They both had their own thoughts about the marriage which were tied. If Austin was not interested he would just leave her while she had nowhere to go.
Even though she cant love him she was happy to live her life for now.
What future hold them is really undecided .
In the end its them with two lost souls..
