"Good morning Elena!" I said aloud to myself as I looked in the bathroom mirror. Then I heard a voice calling me from out in the hall.

"Miss Florea where are you?" my servant Alba shouted.

"In the bathroom." I replied as I switched off the light and stepped into the dark hallway almost being knocked down by Alba.

"Oh, sorry Elena, I didn't see you there. I promise it won't happen again". she said apologetically.

I righted myself as and said, "Not to worry. Can you make me a cup of that delicious Rozmarin dulce sweet rosemary tea, please?"

"Of course. Would you like some Plăcintă cu cartofi as well?" she asked.

"Yes." I replied excitedly. This pastry dish was a flat, round dough patty stuffed with mashed potatoes, and then fried in oil until golden brown on both sides. Alba made it even better by adding grated cheese and sautéed chopped onions. This was such a yummy treat and always filled my belly.

I turned on my device and went to the weather app to see what the weather would be like for today. The app showed that for today, October 9th, 2022, it would be sunny with a high of nine degrees, but feeling like 2. Yikes is it getting colder I thought to myself and making a mental note that I should wear an extra sweater today.

After breakfast I packed my school books and put on my coat and shoe and said goodbye to Alba.

"Yes, you better go now so you are not late. Have a good day." Alba said as she did up the top button on my jacket and put a hat on my head.

"Thank you, Alba. I will see you later. Have a good day yourself." I said as I took off the hat and threw it back on the bench. She shook her head at me knowing we go through this same thing every morning when the weather gets colder. Wearing a hat wasn't cool anymore, and would mess up my hair.

Later, as I arrived at Kizuna Middle school class 3C, I saw my friends Ioana and Sofia as they greeted me at the door to our class.

"Good morning, Elena how are you today?" Sofia said in usual cheery way.

"Hey Sofia, don't brother her, class is about to begin and we don't want to be late," Ioana said as she hurried her way to her seat in the classroom.

The teacher came inside and with him was a new student. The boy stood in front of the class and said, "Hi, my name is Yuu and I just moved here to Romanian from Kyoto, Japan." the boy said.

"You will be sitting next to Miss Florea." The teacher said and showed him where to sit.

Later after our morning classes were done and it was time for lunch, everyone went over to Yuu's desk and started asking him questions.

"Hey how old are you?"

"How do you know how to speak Romanian?"

Yuu replied "My birthday is in March and I will be 15. I am fluent in Romanian, Japanese, Korean and of course English."

After everyone had gathered their lunch things and gone on their way, I invited Yuu to join me for lunch.

"Hey how can you speak four different languages?" I asked him as we climbed up to my special, secret spot on the rooftop." "

" Oh, my father taught me to speak Romanian, I self-taught myself English." he told me.

Before he could finish telling me how he is so multi-lingual, I said "Wait, I hear something! Get down! It's here. The white dragon Gura Alba." I whispered.

"Hey Elena, are you okay?" I asked her.

"Who are you really?" Elena asked me.

"I am Yuu Kazi Yasha, and I am part of the Yasha clan." I told her.

The dragon then spoke to Elena, but I could not understand what the dragon was saying at all.

The dragon left and before I could ask her anything else the end of lunch bell rang and she hurried away off the roof and headed back to class.

I had so many questions to ask, but had to sit through the entire afternoon in a complete state awe. When school was over, Elena left in such a hurry that I didn't have time to get the answers to my many, many questions.

I asked one of my new classmates where Elena lived and they gave me directions to her house.

Later that night I decided to visit her.

Hello, we had been expecting you, Mr. Kazi, a girl said.

I went inside and Elena was sitting down at the table.

"Hey Elena what is your servant's name," I said to her. "Don't you know her already her name is Gura Alba". she spoke.

"Wait what your servant is the white dragon that means you are one as well, "I said.

I am the legendary scarlet darkness she said.

Later in Elena Pov.

That was weird he was shocked when he found out my servant was the white dragon.

I told him this.

"If you ever tell anyone about me or my servant, I will tell the whole class that you are part of the Yasha clan got that" I said to him.

The next day he acted like yesterday never happened.

"Hey Elena what did you and the new guy talk about yesterday, he so cute," Sofia said.

The yearly Halloween festival was coming up and it's an event that did not happen 2 years ago due to the outbreak, today about 195 countries are free from the outbreak.

"Oh, it was nothing we were talking about the festival, so can you stop thinking that I am in love with him," I said.

Later after school, I saw Yuu walking to his house so I decided to follow him,

he walked to a place I never have seen before I looked at the sign in front of the building it says hon UI jib.

And I could not understand what the sign says at all.

Oh, I see now it is a Korean restaurant then saw some girl walking towards the building I had decided to stop the girl I asked her what she doing here.

She replies with "my name is Sayuri" she said. "Okay how old are you what school do you go to," I said to her.

"I currently go to George middle school class 1a and I am 12 years old," she said.

"OH, Yuu hello again it's so good to see you after 3 years," she said.

"Yuu, you know this girl," I said.

"Yeah, she's my childhood friend who moved away 3 years ago," he said.

"Wait what is your name," she said. "Oh, it is Elena," I said.

A few days later in Yuu Pov.

"Okay, class, we have a new student coming here today so be nice to them," The teacher said.

Then Sayuri came into the classroom.

"Hello my name is Sayuri it's so nice to meet you all," she said.

Later that night I went over to the scarlet darkness house.

"Hello again," Gura alba said to me.

Sayuri had followed me when she founded out that Elena was the legendary scarlet darkness.

"Hey Mr. Yasha", Elena said to me.

"Hey Sayuri what are you doing here," she said.

"To kill you," she said.

She then told me what happened 3 years ago when she moved here.

Now in Sayuri pov year 2019.

Why did I have to move away from him, I said to myself.

"Hello my name is Elena and I am 10 1\2 years old and I go to Kizuna elementary school and do you Want to come over to my house and play," she said.

At her house.

I walked inside the house and a man greeted me.

"Hello I see my daughter brought another friend home," the man said,

"Who is that man Elena", I said.

A few months had passed and I decided to ask her father if I can stay the night.

He said yes you can.

A few hours later I had heard someone talking.

"Hello I am the white dragon what is your command" I heard the voice said.

"Your first order is to make me powerful". She spoke

"Hello, again scarlet darkness,". The dragon said.

"Ah, I want to destroy everything Elena said.

Then I pass out a few hours had passed and the last thing I remember was being inside of someone's house.

End of the flashback Yuu Pov.

"Wait Elena are you a living being, "I asked her.

"No, I am not, I had died 150 years ago in a house fire, yes this house you're in right now no longer exists," she said.

"Wait a minute we were taught about the Florea family house fire that happens back in 1872. That's means--," I said.

"Yes, my name is Elena Florea and I was born in October of 1862 I was only ten years old when I had died in that house fire," she told us.

Then she started to disappear I had passed out.

"Where I am", I said.

"Oh, you are awake we are in your backyard Sayuri said.

"Oh, Sayuri I had a crazy dream. Never mind it was just a dream let go and eat some ramen," I said.

「さあ、皆さん。今日から転校生が来るので、優しく接してあげてね」と先生が言った。

すると、さゆりが教室に入ってきた。

「こんにちは。さゆりです。皆さん、よろしくお願いします」と彼女は言った。

その夜遅く、私は緋色の闇の家へ向かった。

「また会えたね」とグラ・アルバが私に言った。

サユリはエレナが伝説の緋の闇だと知ると、私を追ってきたのだ。

「やあ、ヤシャさん」エレナが私に声をかけた。

「サユリ、ここで何してるの？」と彼女は言った。

「あなたを殺しに」と彼女は答えた。

そして彼女は、3年前にこの地へ移り住んだ時の出来事を私に語った。

さて、さゆりの視点、2019年。

なぜ彼から離れなければならなかったのか、と私は自問した。

「こんにちは、私はエレナ。10歳半で、絆小学校に通っているの。うちで遊ばない？」と彼女は言った。

彼女の家で。

家の中に入ると、一人の男性が迎えてくれた。

「あらまあ、娘がまた友達を連れてきたのね」と男性が言った。

「あの男性は誰なの、エレナ？」と私は尋ねた。

数ヶ月が過ぎ、私は彼女の父親に泊めてもらえないか尋ねてみることにした。

彼は「いいよ」と答えた。

数時間後、誰かの声が聞こえた。

「ご用件は？」白い竜の声がした。

「最初の命令は、私を強くすることよ」彼女が言った。

「やあ、緋色の闇よ」竜が応じた。

「ああ、全てを破壊したい」エレナが言った。

それから私は気を失った。数時間が過ぎ、最後に覚えているのは誰かの家の中にいたことだった。

回想終了　ユウ視点

「待て、エレナ。お前は生きているのか？」と私は尋ねた。

「いいえ、違います。私は150年前に家の火事で亡くなりました。そう、今あなたがいるこの家はもう存在しません」と彼女は言った。

「待てよ、1872年に起きたフローレア家の火災について教わったはずだ。つまり――」と私は言った。

「ええ、私の名はエレナ・フローレア。1862年10月生まれで、あの火災で亡くなった時、私はたったの10歳でした」と彼女は語った。

すると彼女は消え始め、私は気を失った。

「ここはどこだ？」と私は言った。

「あら、目が覚めたのね。私たちがいるのはあなたの裏庭よ」とさゆりが言った。

「ああ、さゆり。変な夢を見たよ。まあいいさ、ただの夢だ。行こう、ラーメンでも食べよう」と私は言った。
