"Wait, I've sorted them out, tomorrow I'll take them to mom's house." said a woman sitting in her chair

"Hadley remember, don't make a mistake in sorting because if you do, it will be dangerous, you know." said a man voice in the phone

"Yes I know, I'm not stupid, see you tomorrow!" Hadley Frell said then hung up

"I'm Hadley Frell an editor in New York City and my family, they want to move back to California, so I have to help them sort out something they left in New York City, and bring it over tomorrow, and celebrate the 17th anniversary of my grandmother's death."

"Okay, let's see which files we take with us and which we don't." Hadley said while opening a box

"Take this, take this, take this too, this doesn't seem to be, this is list of family names?" Hadley said while holding the book and look at it confused

Because she was curious, she read the file and looked at all the names of her family.

"Emma Frell, Judy Frell, Jones Frell, Edward Frell, Monica Frell, Jax Frell, Winston Frell..."

"All of these are Frell family names, but why are some names red?" Hadley looks at a few names confused

"Melanie Frell, Patricia Frell, Rick Frell, Bella Frell, why is their name in red?" Hadley ask herself confused

"Welcome, please take a seat." a waiter said while opening the door

"Hadley!" a guy said waving his hand

"Mike, what did you order?" ask Hadley walking towards a guy named Mike Harris

Mike Harris, Hadley's boyfriend of 5 years, they live in New York City and met at college.

"I ordered your favorite food too, sit down!" said Mike pulling a chair for Hadley

"It's rare to come to this place, today isn't even our anniversary." Hadley said smiling at Mike

"We don't have to come just because it's an anniversary." said Mike smiling while looking Hadley

At that moment, suddenly music started playing, there was an orchestra band in the restaurant, and it sounded very jazz and romantic.

"Hey Had, this may seem obvious, but there's something I want to tell you!" said Mike searched his trouser pockets to take something out

"Tell me what?" ask Hadley confused looking at Mike

Just then a waiter came and took a covered dish to the table. At that time Hadley was curious and opened the lid of the food, Mike was standing in front of her, and then Mike knelt in front of her.

"What, this is impossible?" said Hadley feeling emotional

Hadley then looked at the table and when she opened the lid, it turned out that it wasn't food but a cake that said "Will you marry me?".

"So Hadley Frell, will you marry me?" ask Mike to Hadley showing the ring to her

"Yes, I will!" answer Hadley then hugged Mike with a smile and tears of happiness

That evening, Mike took Hadley home, and Hadley planned to keep her engagement a secret for now, because tomorrow she would go home to celebrate the funeral with her families.

"Really, I never thought so, I can't wait to be one of your maids of honor!" said a woman voice on the phone named Vivienne Tinker

"But I want to keep it a secret for a while, because tomorrow is my grandmother's 17th death anniversary." said Hadley while packing her stuff

At that time, she accidentally stared at the family name file again, and she saw several names in red there. Her eyes were fixed on Bella Frell because she was the last one to have a name with that red on it.

"Had, are you still on the phone?" ask Vivienne to Hadley who is fixed on the file

"Vivi I will call you back later, there's something I need to find out." said Hadley hung up her phone

"Why do they have red in their names what happened, and Bella Frell as far as I remember isn't she missing or dead?" muttered Hadley looking at the files

The next morning she left for the airport to go to California, before leaving she left her cat with Mike, who is now her fiancé.

"Take good care of my Louis, I'll see you again next Friday." said Hadley gave Louis a pat

"Alright see you, I'll pick you up next Friday." said Mike gave Hadley a kiss and drive away with her cat

...June 29, 2014, San Francisco...

"Hey Hadley, how are you?" ask Jenna Frell, Hadley's sister-in-law, greet her with full of smile

"Good, I've brought what they told me to bring, and I've already sorted all these documents!" said Hadley to Jenna smiling

"Okay now come on, accompany me to go buy some desserts, for tonight's event." said Jenna get back in the car

In the car, Hadley looked around because last year she didn't come home because she was busy with work.

"Okay, let's go home and prepare for the event!" said Jenna close the car door and placing the desserts in the backseats

"It's been 2 years since I've been back, it feels a little different from the previous year!" said Hadley to Jenna

"Yes, Dad’s not doing well, You really should come home more often." said Jenna looking empathic at the road

"How are Mike?" ask Jenna to Hadley suddenly

"Mike as usual, he will be here this Friday!" said Hadley to Jenna

"Is that true, then we have to be prepared, this is going to be the third time he's been here!" said Jenna parking in front of their house

"Oh yeah Jenna, by any chances, do you know anything about Bella?" ask Hadley suddenly to Jenna

"Bella, Bella, my friend or Bella, your missing cousin?" ask Jenna to Hadley

"Yes, Bella my cousin." said Hadley stared at Jenna

"Bella Frell, I don't know anything about her. I was with your brother after 8 years of her death!" said Jenna gets off from the car

"Is there something wrong why are you suddenly asking something about this?" ask Jenna opening the car trunk

"Nothing, I just happened to think about it while I was wandering around the car." said Hadley getting of the car helping Jenna carry the things from the trunk

"Hadley, long time no see!" said Ellen Frell, Hadley mother with a big smile hugging her daughter

"These are the things that you told me to bring from old home, I brought them all here, and they all had sorted!" said Hadley to Ellen handing her the files

"She said Mike will come this Friday to pick her up too!" said Jenna suddenly came in

"Really, I haven't seen him in a long time, so it would be a good thing!" said Ellen to them smiling

After talking with her mother, she then went up to her room and tidied up some of her things, unexpectedly she didn't give her mother the file listing her family names, because she was curious about it.

"9 names in the Frell family history that have red in them, and then from Nico Frell to Amy Frell they are all normal!" said Hadley

But suddenly her phone rang and she took a look, it turned out to be from her best friend Vivienne.

"Hey Had, guess what I just met one of the best writers in New York City, and I can't wait to tell you the details." said Vivienne to Hadley in excited voice

"Just send it all, I'll read it later because I found something interesting." said Hadley to Vivienne setting out her laptop

"What happened?" ask Vivienne curious on the phone

"Vivi I found something strange, I think I want to start digging something!" said Hadley to Vivienne on the phone

"What is it, is it a mystery murder case or...?" ask Vivienne on the phone to Hadley

"I'll try to find out first, I'll call you back later!" said Hadley to Vivienne then hung up

"Why do you always cut the phone off in the middle of our important conversations?" said Vivienne

After that, Hadley used her personal computer and searched for information about the name crossed out in red on the internet, but the results were unclear. Finally, she gave up and thought of a way to find something behind this.

Suddenly, a loud knocking sound was heard at her bedroom window, and when she was curious and walked nervously towards it, suddenly Jenna, her sister-in-law opened the door, making her jump in surprise.

"Hadley are you okay why do you look so scared, here's a little dessert!" said Jenna put them at a table

"I was a little surprised because you suddenly came in." said Hadley to Jenna in a cold sweat

Hadley then turned towards her window there was nothing there just a bunch of crows. But when she looked down, several cars had arrived, it seemed like the cars of her family from far and near were arriving.

When she was about to go back to bed, the door suddenly opened again, but this time it wasn't Jenna but Ellen, her mother.

"Hadley, don't forget to clean up tonight, there are some people staying in this room with you!" said Ellen then closed the door

Hadley didn't have time to answer because she was shocked, again, she then made a quick sign that said knock before entering.

Then she began to prepare for tonight's event, their 17th grandmother's death anniversary, It may sound strange, but this has become a tradition for the Frell family to celebrate death anniversary every years.

Then she walked downstairs in one of her black formal dresses which was quite covered, she was glared at by many of her family members.

"Hadley Frell, I haven't seen you in a long time." said a girl to her with a big smile

"I'm sorry, but honestly don't know who you are?" reply Hadley awkward to the girl

"I'm Mariane Emelia Frell!" said the girl to her

"Beautiful name!" said Hadley walking away with an awkward smile

"Jenna, Jenna, can you come here for a moment?" said Hadley waving to Jenna

"Why does our house suddenly have so many families that I have never seen before?" whispered Hadley confused to Jenna

"Mom wants to bring back grandma’s old traditions, That’s why she invited everyone this year." said Jenna to her

Suddenly, there is someone called her from behind. When she looked back, she saw a woman wearing black clothes, with a big British style hat, but she was covered in red blood.

Shocked, she was silent, she walked back and lean on the corner of the house, at that time she saw her brother Hendry Frell walking towards her.

"Hadley when did you get here why did I just see you?" ask Hendry to Hadley who is freezing in the corner of the house

"Had, are you okay, do you need some rest?" ask Hendry to Hadley looking into her eyes

Hadley didn't dare to move because the woman was standing next to her chair and asking her to help her.

“Help me, Hadley Frell, before you end up like me too!" said the spirit voice

Hearing this Hadley fainted from shock.

"Had, Jenna can give me a help!" shouted Hendry to Jenna

When she opened her eyes, it turned out she was in her room, she immediately woke up and sat on the bed instantly.

"Hadley are you okay?" ask Jenna to her sat beside her desk chair

"Jenna since when did I faint, why did I faint what happened to me?" ask Hadley to Jenna in panic

"Calm down Hadley, you only fainted for about 10 minutes, you're tired, just rest, alright?" said Jenna handing her a cup of water

"You rest first, okay, I need to go out to help mom with some things!" said Jenna getting up from the chair and walked out

Hadley still couldn't believe what she saw before she passed out and wondered who the woman was who called her name and asked for her help.

After the incident, Hadley walked down again and this time she felt much better, she then went to the family gathering room who were remembering her grandmother's kindness.

Hadley saw this as a cult feast, but she didn't care, after she goes studying in New York, she only came back once a year, sometimes she even never went back.

She walked in and sat beside one of the people there, There she saw her father Jones Frell who was telling about her grandmother's kindness.

"Hadley Frell, right?" ask a guy suddenly pulled a chair and sat beside her

"Who are you?" ask Hadley shocked to the guy

"Doesn't this place feel like a group of cults worshiping the death of their former leader!" said the guy to her

Hadley was silent because she had previously thought so too.

"I asked who you are, not how you know this place!" said Hadley to the guy

"I'm Dean Woods, you can just call me Dean I'm just a local resident, I happened to drove my mother here, who would have thought that it would be an event like this?" said Dean watching Jones Frell from afar

"This is very inappropriate to say, because this is my grandmother's death anniversary celebration!" said Hadley to Dean with a look

"Yeah, I know, don't you think so, these black clothes are like symbols to the cult, right?" said Dean to her

"No I don't feel anything strange, Don't say anything weird again, or I'll have someone drag you out!" said Hadley to Dean felt bothered

"Alright, I'll give you my card, if there's anything wrong don't forget to contact me, got it, see you later!" said the Dean standing up then leave

Hadley didn't care and continued watching while thinking about the woman she saw earlier in her dreams, she then went up to the room and tried to read the file once again.

She thought it could be one of her family members, but after looking around, she was shocked to see that her name suddenly turned red.

"My name, my name is Hadley Suxtine Frell, why is my name red too, what is this?" said Hadley panicking scratching around the paper

Panicking, she immediately tried to convince herself that this was just a dream, what had happened, why had her name turned red too, panicking, she called her boyfriend, Mike.

"Mike, can you come pick me up tomorrow?" ask Hadley to Mike on the phone

"What's wrong, why do you sound so panicked?" ask Mike concern to her

"I'm fine, it's just that I don't think there's anything I can do being here for a week, so I want to go home." said Hadley to Mike fixed her eyes at her red name in the files

"Had, calm down, you can definitely do something there, your whole family is there, they will definitely take you for a walk, oh yeah speaking of family, should I feed Louis every day or half day?" ask Mike to Hadley on the phone

"Every day." reply Hadley to Mike

"Have you told your family about our engagement?" ask Mike to Hadley

"I haven't planned to tell them, I wait till you come this Friday!" said Hadley to Mike

"Had, if you really don't want to be there, I'll come and pick you up tomorrow, I'll wait for your call later, I want to clean my house which is covered in fur, love you!" said Mike then hung up

Hadley was silent there while wondering what was really happening, whether this had something to do with the woman or something else.

Suddenly a knock on the door was heard, Hadley panicked and immediately threw all her files under her bed and opened the door.

"Hadley, I've been looking for you, it turns out you were staying in your room, why didn't you come down?" ask Ellen to Hadley worried

"Mom, what's wrong, is there something happening down there?" ask Hadley to Ellen

"No, I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I was quite worried!" said Ellen to Hadley

"I'm fine plus I'm a grown up now, so you shouldn't have to worry about me anymore!" said Hadley to Ellen with a smile

"Oh yes, by the way, do you have any photos on the album of the anniversary of grandma's death?" ask Hadley suddenly to her mother

"I have it, why are you asking this all of a sudden, you want to see it?" ask Ellen to Hadley shocked a little

"Yes, I want to see it, I'm curious who has been here before!" said Hadley to Ellen standing up from her bed

After a while she got the photo album and she looked at the photos to see if there was anyone dressed exactly the same as the woman she saw earlier.

"Not this, Emma Frell and her husband Hugh Wraith, with their son Hugo Wraith, not this either!" said Hadley close the photo album and put it away

"I've checked all the albums, and there's nothing there, and this is the last album from 1995, grandmother's real death." said Hadley open the photo album

"Her extended family, wait a minute, the woman dressed like this, is exactly like the woman from before, who is she?" said Hadley flip through a few pages quickly to find a close up of this woman

"Brent Frell, along with his wife and children Melinda Frell, and Bella Frell!" read Hadley shocked in froze

"Bella Frell, my cousin who disappeared 17 years ago, what happened to her that day why was she covered in blood and asking for help!" said Hadley scared and trembling closing the photo album
