The first day of the new semester buzzed with restless energy. Students crowded into the classroom, whispering about the rumored transfer student.
“They say he was top of his class at his old school.”
“I heard he’s amazing at sports too.”
“Is he really that handsome?”
The door slid open, and suddenly, the chatter hushed.
A tall boy with dark hair walked in, his posture calm, his eyes sharp but distant. Even the way he carried his bag seemed effortless and refined. He didn’t look at anyone for long, but the room was already filled with hushed giggles and excited stares. “Class, this is our new student, Dan Heng,” the teacher introduced. “Please welcome him.”
A ripple of whispers followed him as he moved to the back, where the empty seat happened to be—right next to Celestia. He sat down gracefully, ignoring the eyes burning into his back. As her heart thumped. He was definitely different from everyone else.
Gathering courage, her leaned slightly and whispered, “Hi… I’m Celestia. Welcome.”
He blinked, turning his gaze on you for the first time. His voice was low, quiet enough that only she could hear:
“…Dan Heng. Nice to meet you.”he answer. Throughout the morning, Celestia noticed how the class buzzed with curiosity. Some students tried to talk to him, but he answered politely with as few words as possible. At lunch, a small group of girls even invited him to join them — but he refused gently, choosing instead to sit under a tree by himself, a book in hand.
Celestia found herself walking over before she can realized it. “Mind if I sit here?” she asked, balancing her tray.
Dan Heng looked at Celestia, his eyes steady but not unkind. “…Go ahead.”
So she sat. The silence between her and him wasn’t awkward—just calm, like the breeze that carried cherry blossom petals across the grass. Slowly, she realized something: while the whole school whispered about him, he seemed to notice only her.
While eating she looking at Dan Heng holding the history book the one she didn’t like the most but she ask him"Do you love history?” And he just nodded.
“Oh… That why you so smart and famous no wonder very one like you.” Say Celestia. Once Dan Heng heard from her, he just quiet.
“But..I respect you because I can see that you more info history even I don’t like history.” Added Celestia with a smile.
Dan Heng shocked to hear it because it was his first hearing it from someone else.
When the bell rang, you stood to leave, but his voice stopped you.
“…You’re different.” She blinked. “Different?”
He closed his book and met her eyes. “You didn’t look at me the way everyone else did and can you teks me why?"
Her chest warmed, and she smiled softly. “Well… maybe I just wanted to know the real you, not the famous transfer student.”
For the first time that day, Dan Heng’s lips curved into the faintest smile.
And from that moment on, the quiet boy whom everyone admired began to open up to her, revealing the world he had kept hidden from everyone else.
