Character ပြင်ဆင်ရင်း မိနစ် 20လောက်ကြာသွားတဲ့ Kouki တစ်နည်းအားဖြင့် Rio ဟာ နောက်ဆုံးတော့ In game ထည်းကို ရောက်လာခဲ့ပါပြီ။

Npc တေတည်ထောင်ထားတဲ့ Guild ရှေ့မှာ ပေါ်လာတဲ့

Rio ဟာ အနီးနားပတ်လည် ကိုကြည့်လိုက်ပြီးနောက် အရင်ဆုံး Tutorial တေကို လိုက်လုပ်ပါတယ်။

1နာရီနီးပါးလောက်ကြာမှသာ ပြီးသွားခဲ့ပြီး...Rio ရဲ့ First quest ဖြစ်တဲ့ Hunter job ကို စလုပ်ရပါတယ်။

Hunter job ကိုရရှိရန် ပထမဆုံးအနေနဲ့ အနီးနားက တောအုပ်ထည်းက DltaBunny 5ကောင်၊ iron wolf 3ကောင် ၊ Black Lion 1 တို့ကို တိုက်ခိုက်ရမှာပါ။

Rio ဟာ DltaBunny 5ကောင်ကို bow သုံးပြီး သတ်ဖြတ်နိုင်ခဲ့ကာ Level 6 ကို ရောက်ရှိသွားခဲ့ပါတယ်။

Iron wolf တေကိုတော့ ထင်သလိုမဟုတ်ခဲ့ပဲ တိုက်ရိုက်ရင်ဆိုင်ခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ သူတို့ အမွှေးများဟာ လက်ရှိ level နဲ့ မထိုးဖောက်နိုင်လောက်အောင် မာတာကြောင့် တစ်ကောင်ချင်းစီ ... Smallest Hammer ‌လို့ခေါိတဲ့ လက်နက်နဲ့ တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ Smallest Hammer ဟာ ပေါက်ဆိန် လို့ အသွား တစ်ဖက်နဲ့ တူလို တစ်ဖက်ပါတဲ့ လက်နက် ဖြစ်ပြီး ‌3ပေ ကျော်ကျော်လောက်ရှည်ရှိပါတယ်။ iron wolf ကို သတ်ဖြတ်ပြီးနောက် သူကစားနေတဲ့ အချိန်ဟာ 3နာရီနီးပါး ရှိနေခဲ့ပါပြီ...

skill ကို ပြန်သုံးချင်ရင် အကြိမ် ၁၅၀ ခုန်မှ ရမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ချက်ချင်းဆိုသလို ကုတ်လိုက်တဲ့ Black lion ကို ပြန်ကန်အောင် လုပ်လိုက်ပြီး ထိုချိန် ခနတာ ရပ်တန့်သွားတာကို အခွင့်ကောင်းယူပြီး...

နဲ့ ခုတ်ချလိုက်ပါတယ်။ damage ထိသွားပေမဲ့ အပြည့်၀ မထိ ခင်ရှောင်ထွက်သွားပါတယ်။

Kouki lay on his bed, smiling faintly—like a boy who had just received his first love letter.

After a while, he sat before his laptop, reading up on the game.

“Avatars have jobs… huh. Hold on—races? They split people into hundreds of races? …No wonder they call it a god-tier game. Seems like everyone already knows it. Alright then… let’s get started.”

He slipped on the VR headset, lay comfortably on his bed, and whispered:

“Start.”

A blinding light engulfed his vision.

“…So this is it. A pure white room, and… a screen. Character creation, of course.”

“Hair—white. Body, same as mine. Height—same. …Perfect. Now, jobs… There are a lot. Wait… Special Job? If I remember right, Normal Jobs are assigned immediately, but Special Jobs require clearing a Job Quest. Until then, you play without any job at all… Heh. That sounds more fun. Father always said—choose the special one. Fine. Hunter it is. Race… Adventurer. Done. Armor? Just cheap stuff for now.”

“The last step… Player name. R… i… o. There. Login.”

After about twenty minutes of character customization, Kouki—now Rio—finally entered the world of the game.

Appearing before the guild where NPCs gathered, Rio looked around curiously and began his tutorial.

Nearly an hour later, he completed it. Then came his very first quest—earning the Hunter Job.

The requirements:

Defeat Delta Bunny ×5

Defeat Iron Wolf ×3

Defeat Black Lion ×1

Delta Bunnies were easy prey. Using his bow, he picked them off one by one, reaching Level 6.

But the Iron Wolves were different. Their fur was so tough, his arrows couldn’t pierce it. Forced into close combat, he wielded the Smallest Hammer—a weapon about three feet long, shaped like a war mallet with one weighted head. Blow after blow, he crushed them, finishing the task after much effort.

By then, almost three hours had passed.

“Phew… only the Black Lion left. This game’s tougher than it looks. Still, it’s fun… Hard to believe it’s only been out for a little over a year.”

As Rio muttered, a deep roar echoed through the forest.

“That sound… the lion.”

Drawing his hammer, Rio scanned the surroundings carefully. At that moment, a girl burst out of the trees, running straight toward him.

“Run! You can’t win against it!”

Rio smirked.

“Better to fight than die doing nothing. Skill: Agility Boost.”

Agility Boost. As the name implied, it heightened his reflexes for twenty minutes—fast enough to dodge even bullets. To use it again, however, required 150 jumps.

The Black Lion lunged. Rio barely dodged, countering with a strike.

“Skill: Heavy Slash!”

The hammer slammed into the beast, but not solidly. The lion roared, swiping. Rio’s side bled, yet he kept dodging, each blow whittling the monster down.

Panting, he gripped his weapon tighter.

“This ends it. Skill: Star Shooting!!”

From his off-hand weapon—a compact Blast Gun—a barrage of shining bullets fired into the lion. The beast staggered, roared, and dissolved into particles of light.

On the ground remained: Fang ×1, Leather ×1, Coin ×1.

“…Made it. Level 12 already. Not bad. Drops: Fang, Leather, Coin… good enough.”

“W-Wait! Who are you?!”

Turning, Rio found the girl staring at him.

“I’m… Salina. The one who ran from the Black Lion. You saved me. Thank you.”

“Oh. I’m Rio. …Wait, you’re an NPC?”

“Yes. And… Rio-sama, could I ask another favor? Please, defeat the Poison Viper.”

“Hm. Quest, huh? Long ago they were too strong, but now they are weak. …Alright, I’ll accept. But not now. Let’s return to town first.”

“Yes. Then… I’ll come with you.”

Back in town, Rio officially received the Hunter Job. He bought ammo for his Blast Gun, new armor, and gear.

That’s when Salina asked quietly:

“Rio-sama… do you hate vampires?”

“…Huh? No. Why?”

“Because… aren’t you a Vampire Hunter?”

“No. Just a regular Hunter.”

Salina lowered her gaze, cheeks faintly red. Though she tried to hide it, her ears betrayed her embarrassment. Rio looked away awkwardly.

Their quest led them to Salina’s mansion—overrun by monstrous vines, the so-called Poison Vipers.

“…So they’re plants, not snakes?”

“Yes. Released by our rival noble house. Please, clear them out.”

“…Got it. Skill: Hunter Eye. The core’s in here somewhere.”

Charging inside, Rio cut down writhing vines, fighting his way upward until he reached the source.

“…Poison Ivy, huh? Not sexy like the comics. Just plain ugly.”

The vines lashed out. Rio dodged, countered, then activated his skill.

“Skill: Fast Step! … Boom!”

With a crushing strike, the Poison Viper collapsed.

Drops: Assorted poison-related materials.

“Nice. Good for traps.”

When he descended, Salina threw her arms around him, tears flowing.

“Thank you… Rio-sama.”

He let her cry until she calmed.

“Rio-sama… will you stay the night here?”

“…Depends on your answer. Who are you, really?”

Salina froze. Then, with a faint smile:

“…When did you realize?”

“Not long ago. But long enough. You’re not just an NPC.”

“…My true name is Mary Grace vé Futoria. You may call me Mary.”

Rio paused, then bowed lightly.

“Understood, Mary-sama. I’ll look forward to supporting you.”

“And I, you.”

“…Shall we head inside? You must be tired.”

“Yes. But… I live alone now. No maids.”

“…So you want me to help clean up, huh?”

“Exactly.”

“…What a pain.”

Still, Rio spent two hours in the game helping Mary clean her enormous mansion.

At last, he set his save point and logged out.

“…Damn. Already night? I’ll miss dinner!”

Kouki dashed from his room, hurrying to the table where his strict father—the one who had given him this new world—waited.
