Under the glow of chandeliers, with cameras flashing, politicians and business tycoons move about the hall.
Selena Cruz stands beside her mother, Isabelle Cruz, gracefully greeting the guests. Her smile looks perfect, but her mind… restless.

Another night of masks, lies, and deals. Mother says this is our “world,” but my heart refuses to belong here.
Suddenly, the grand hall doors open. Adrian Black enters — tall, sharp presence, eyes cold as steel. The crowd goes silent for a moment.
