On a cold night in the village of leaf, Sister Aria got out to meet an unexpected sight. A newborn baby, wrapped in a cloth right before her eyes. Two strikes of thunder sounded, the wind hurling, as she bent down to pick him up. She ran into the orphanage to the forty five year old orphanage caretaker, father Lance. The red eyed infant was given the name Damian. Years passed, and Damian grew up as quite an impregnable lackmagic. Due to his personality, he was placed as an inferior to Raemon, a boy with promising wind magic. Though their differences, they both had one goal, to get a mark at the magic awakening ceremony, where they will gain their true powers as mages. All the orphans trained tirelessly, sparring each other to and over their limits. Meanwhile, in the nearby Cortis mountain, in a cave, Damian trained himself repeatedly. His body packed with muscles. “597, 598, 599, 600.” He counted up his pushups, his arm dripping with sweat and his hair disheveled. “Alright, time for 900 sit-ups!” He thought, all pumped up. Back at the orphanage, Raemon was surrounded with girls as he put five huge boulder up in a whirl of wind. Instantly, it was smashed to dust, and the girls continued to fawn over him. Sister Lily, Aria’s cousin clapped in amusement, whilst Father Lance continued to shower him with compliments.
As the day of the ceremony arrived, all the people of the leaf village gathered in the library of the mythical. The stench of excitement hung greatly in the air, as people waited eagerly to see what they get. “Ladies and gentlemen” A voice echoed through the air. Luther Gray, the host of this ceremony stood above them all, on a cloud of dust. “Today is a day that will change your lives, the day you’ll be chosen for greatness. The day you become someone in life, Rejoice for what you get today, for it might help you tomorrow.” As soon as his voice seized, faint glows surrounded the people, their path to power unfolding before them. A burst of bright green light surrounded Raemon, and gasps surfed through the room. “The legendary four clover mark!” Luther exclaimed, clearly showing its power. Father Lance smiled at Raemon, praising him for his loudly achievement. Damian on the other hand stood there, baffled and shocked. “Umm, I didn’t get my mark.” His voice interrupted the cheers. “Wellll, try again next year.” Suddenly, the room erupted in laughter, as Damian walked out disappointed. Raemon gave off an ‘As I thought’ glance at him, a underestimating grin across his face. “I’m going to be the most powerful mage.” He announced, the cheers growing louder. Aria run silently after Damian, worried about him. She finally got a little close him panting for breath. “Damian wait!” Damian turned around. “Sister, what are you doing here? Aren’t you celebrating Raemon?” “I was worried you’d feel terrible.” Aria said, her voice considerate. Before Damian could process his emotions, the atmosphere shifted, becoming incredibly gloomy. A man with a dark aura approached them, his lewd eyes looking at the beautiful nun, Aria. “You’re the stupid lackmagic orphan, right? ” Laughing out loud, he asked again. “How about you hand me that beautiful maiden and I don’t beat you to a pulp. Surely she can’t stay single forever.” He said, stretching his arm towards her chest. Damian clutched his fist, hitting his arm with a powerful blow. “Tch, how annoying. Let me show you real strength.” Without warning, a dark shard shot towards them. Due to the high probability of fatal injury on Aria, Damian threw himself in front of the attack, taking the full force of the attack. He crashed into the ground, large amounts of blood oozing from his mouth. Aria gave out a shrill scream. “Tch… I can’t make it end like this.” Suddenly, something unexpected happened. A heavy aura surrounded him. As power surged through him, a five leaf clover appeared under his dark wavy hair, and a silver sword emerged from void , surrounded by blue antimagic. Damian grabbed the sword instinctively, his blood red eyes glowing with intent. His wounds healed instantly, as he got up. He leaped forward, with incredible speed. He gripped the sword intensely, his muscles spreading across his body. Using his long trained strength, he gave a single decisive strike, sending the attacker flying miles away. “Damian, you got your mark.” Aria congratulated him, but collapsed out of shock from the recent attack. Damian carried her back to the orphanage on his back, smiling all the way there. As he walked, one thing became clear to him. The kid who was always underestimated now had a bright future ahead of him.
