But I found this chat story option more convenient. The first chapter will be all about the character introduction. The story will start in the next chapter. In the bus stop. Sarah is waiting for the bus as someone pulls up with a car which is painted in a very dark pink color. People might think its a toy car from afar.

Abby has been nagging me to talk to this "extremely handsome , sex on the legs doctor" who fell head over heels for me. Her words not mine. I love Abby.. but her constant nagging at my "extremely dry love life" has been a pain in the ass. But I love her too much to mind all that.

We are the two most opposite kinda people. She likes that attention and I like the peace. She's a influencer and a model and I'm a Pet groomer. I, Abby, Abby's boyfriend and one of my brother Steven's best friend Alex.. we all grewup in the same neighborhood of oakhaven. And There is a irrelevant character in our circle who I'd rather die than think about.

We all love our town equally and enjoy the peace and nature surrounding this place. The sweet people from the town who has each other's back and not so dense population is what makes it better.

That's what prompted us to not move out of the city after our studies. I have a degree in computer science but never touched a laptop unless its for billing the clients.

Abby dropped out of her school early as her fame rose as a instagram influencer and her modeling career kicked off. Her boyfriend Alex is a stock trader. He has some fancy degree in accounting and always works from home. My brother made a career out of his love for gaming. He has won some cool competition in video games which I have zero Knowledge of. There is one more person in the group. Who also became famous but as I said.. I'd rather die than think about him.

I completely forget sometimes how sensitive dad is when it comes to talk about death. of course he wasn't always like this. It was since my mom's passing which happend 8 years ago. My mom passed in a car accident. Of course I love and miss my mom too but for dad it's a whole other level. He still grieves mom. He never stopped. Mom's passing has left dad being more overprotective of me and Steven. He's clingier than ever.

It was a tiring day but there's nowhere else I want to be than in this salon fending for this furbabies. I love my job. It's just 15 mins drive from my home and pays the bills and let's me travel whenever I want. What more could I ask for?

Sarah closes the store and starts to walk to the bus stop. It's still drizzling outside and looks like a heavy rain might breakout anytime.

She walks on tiptoes to not to get her pretty white cardigan splashed. She waits for the bus for a while but bus just doesn't show up. Her phone is out of signal. The heavy rain in the suburbs comes with bad network coverage.

She's starting to get worried. Not because of her own safety , rather that her dad might start to get worried if he couldn't connect to her phone.

Just as she waits she sees a fancy car going in the direction to oakhaven.. Oakhaven is a small town, here everyone knows everyone. she'd know if anyone had a car as fancy as this one. Though she couldn't name the car, even she can tell her entire savings might not be able to buy a part of that car.

The car stops just few meters away from her and the window rolls down.

An extremely goodlooking man's face appears as the car's window rolls down. He has thick black hair and a the skin of a Korean pop star. He is wearing a black shirt, two of the first buttons undone and his one hand is on the steering wheel and the other one is on his chin, his eyes are trying to scan the girl who is looking like a damsel in distress.

As he stares hard , a little less than a second his face turns to a frown..

Sarah has the same expression..Because they both know who is in front of them.

Both of them glare at each other as if they are against the worst enemy of their nation.. Noah might have thought to do a good deed of giving some stranded girl a ride, Sarah might have thought of asking this fancy car owner for a ride. But none of them are going through with the plan cause that's how much their presence irritate each other

Noah rolls up his car window and start driving towards Oakhaven.

Sarah scoffs and mutters curses under her breath as she watches the car go. Not like she'd expect anything good from this guy and of course she wouldn't ride in his car even if thats the only way to get home. Just the fact he left a girl in this situation without offering to help makes her hate him more.

As she's still in the hate bubble.. the town bus honks her out of her thoughts.

The ride home was silent .. for both of them.. It's a bitter feeling, for them to think back on the past that has left them to loath each other. Fortunately Sarah's phone got a 2 line signal, she hurriedly sent a text to her had telling him she's on her way and not to worry..

Back home

Muffin starts jumping on Sarah as soon as she steps inside almost knocking her to the ground.

As the hot water runs through my body.. I keep thinking about what happened earlier.. or the person who i saw..

Noah.. or that douchbag .. I wonder why he's back in town now..it's not even Christmas or thanksgiving.

He moved out of the town 5 years ago for his studies. He's been the best selling mystery novelist for years now. Not that i cared to learn all this.. its all his mom talks about whenever I visit her Bakery for cakes. Not to mention Abby's constant blabbing about how hot and rich he is. Jennifer, Noah's mom is a lovely lady. I adore her more cause her pastries taste like heaven. I wonder how she gave birth to a guy like him.

I hope he doesn't stay long...

Sarah's monologue

Abby and Alex have been dating since they were in high school. But I feel Alex always had a thing for her even earlier. Alex is a quite guy. doesn't talk much.. almost to the level some might think he's rude. But he is different with Abby. He treats her like a princess and cares a whole lot about her. That's what makes me want to along with Abby for whatever she does for him.

2 hours later in Alex's place

Sarah: All the jokes apart, I love that she's so excited for this and happy for her. This room is all decorated with pinkish flowers , lights and candles. We had spent 2 hours fixing this up, I'm sure Alex will appreciate all her efforts. Seeing my best friend being loved the way she deserves fills my heart.

All the lights in the house are switched off. To make sure no one sees the candle light the window's curtains were also drawn.

Biometric beeps

Door opened and a man walked in. The balloon pop was loud and it Sarah shut her eyes close. As soon as she opened her eyes..

The guy who walked out of the door is was not Alex. It's the very guy who Sarah wouldn't wish to see, ever!! The most Unexpected guest.

Noah.. he walks in talking in his phone. Sarah had heard voices outside earlier but never expected that voice belonged to him. Noah looks a bit taken back, he looks around as he tries to assess what just happened. His face quickly turns to a frown as soon as he turns to face the girl standing with her mouth wide open.

Noah doesn't answer.. his eyes are still busy staring down the girl to his right. His eyes scans her whole body from tip to toe. His eyes turn dark. Sarah is still shocked at who just walked in. She can't read his expression. She knows very well that Noah hates her just as much as she hates him. But the look in his eyes right now is unreadable... its different.. is he shocked? annoyed? can't tell. As they are starting at each other, Abby's voice throws them out of the loop.

Alex and Steven walked inside. Alex is genuinely surprise to see Abby here. Its always been him giving surprises to Abby, this is the first time he was pleasantly surprised like this. He's not one to care about his birthday. He had thought to go on a date with Abby and stay in a nice hotel tonight, atleast thats what Abby told him. As for Steven of course he knew her plan and starts singing happy birthday along with the girls.

Alex goes up to her. As they are in their own bubble... Steve looks at his sister..

Outside

Sarah's eyes widen as soon as she looks up. It's Noah. He's staring down at her with a unlit cigarette in his hand. He must have tried to have a smoke in the balcony. And totally caught Sarah shit talking about him.

As soon as they walk in they see Noah sitting on the sofa. Him and Steven hug and all of them sit around to have drinks. Alex and Abby have snapped out of their bubble and trying to order dinner online. Steve and Noah are talking about some game Steven is playing nowadays. In-between their talk Sarah can sense Noah glancing at her side sometimes. Was that a glare? or simply a stare? she can't tell.. all she can tell is she doesnt like it. She doesn't like him showing up suddenly and ruining her mood. She doesn't like the fact that he might settle down in Oakhaven for good. She totally hates the idea. She totally hates him.
