a big round of applause took place in the hall which was silent when I was speaking.

these applauses really make me feel proud. I am invited to give an encouraging speech to the youth. when i was getting back to my seat from the stage I heard someone calling my nickname.

"Mackieeee!!!"

I turned around and saw a familiar girl. tears started forming in my as well as her eyes. i almost screamed,"jennieee!".

she pulled me into her embrace and i hugged her back.

it was my childhood friend, Jennifer. we were not in touch with each other for more than five years when i moved to another country. after the ceremony we went in the hotel room in which I was staying.

she took her seat on the bed and i was sitting on a rocking chair.

"finally i got you babe" she said with a sigh of relief.

her 'babe' word was the word i missed the most.

"oh ho my babe has became a star author, she is on her dream job. how you feeling girl?" she said.

her words actually lit me up and helped me put a joyful smile on my face.

"why not saying anything, huh?" she said

i couldn't fight back my tears and went to her to hug her tightly.

she chuckled and i said"you can never ever imagine how much i missed you! i love you bestie!"

we sobbed together.

"how are you here anyways?" i asked.

"i heard you are invited as a chief guest here so i came here to join you again like i used to do in our childhood."

i hummed in response.

i went back to the rocking chair and gave her my visiting card.

" call me on regular basis i don't wanna lose you again?"

she kept it in her handbag.

"so what's up? " she started the conversation.

" nothing i have a flight after few hours. you say!"

"me? better don't ask"

"don't tell me don't ask now i really wanna know"

"you really wanna know?"

"yes madam"

"everything messed up after you left. i was all alone. we lost touch."

she paused looking at her lap. i wanted to know if i was wrong asking her about her past life. one side of me said that i have the right to know her past whereas the other side reminded me that there was something wrong so change the topic. come on Mahak dare to say something. i opened my mouth and was about to say something when i saw her wiping her tears off of her cheeks.

"J- Jennifer,is everything okay?" i asked but she didn't reply back.

"Jennie tell me, what is the thing about?" i asked again.

"IT'S ABOUT A GUY, THE GUY I HATED ONCE, THE GUY I LOVED ONCE, BUT HE...."

her past life seemed interesting. my author mind said that it's gonna be interesting enough for the readers to purchase it and read but my friendly heart said don't think about all this just listen to her first. let her say and release her pain.

"and...?" i asked.

"he ruined me and my life. he was a trouble for me the first day we met"

Her high school

I was in hurry that day. I woke up late because I couldn't hear the alarm. My bad. I don't think the teacher will spare me today. It's my fourth time being late. Urghh why can't I hear the alarm?!!

I hurriedly took out my books, timetable and other stuff needed from the locker and locked it. I started running and then I realised that I actually don't know what subject's period is this. While running only i looked at my timetable and took a sigh of relief. It was geography. Teached is aged. She always comes late but still I will be the last to enter. Nooooooooo!

But then, I accidentally bumped into someone.

Ouchhhhh!!!

"What the hell? Can't you see?"

I shouted and looked upto see the person. The person was insanely handsome. Oh my God! Is he for real? I mesmerized in his beauty. He is so handsome. Then he shouted by interrupting my thoughts which were going to far. Oh god!

"You are asking me but can't you see b**ch" he said

"What the fu**!!! You called me what?"

"I called you what you are,..... bi**h"

I thought he would be a nice guy by his face but then I got the idea that all handsome boys are like that, bastards.

And then,

                Fight started...............................

We were fighting when someone interrupted us, it was our geography teacher.

He said, well to be honest shouted "Jennifer and Harry, detention"

"But...." we both screamed out.

"Now, I would request you to leave to your respective classes"the teached said while we both walked away.

I saw the teacher gossiping with the other.

"What are you watching jerk, **** off now I've already got detention because of you and you know what for the first time." He said to me.

"What the ****! What the ****! Like what the ****! You better **** off from here and yes these are my eyes now don't teach me what to watch and what not to"i replied.

He mumbled something in response and went away.

I then rushed to my class.

"Oh jennifer you are late again and where the heck is that boring geo teacher huh?"

My friend,Shelby said.

I hummed in responsed.

Just then the teacher entered the classroom.

He started the lecture, the boring lecture rather.

It was lunch break. I sat besides Shelby. We were enjoying our meal and talking when a bitch-looking-girl came upto us. She held my collar and shouted at me"You! how dare you give detention to my Harry! huh?"

I gave a jerk to her hand making it let go off my collar.

"What the hell are you saying?" I replied

"Shut that **** up"

"Just **** off or I'll kick your ***" i eventually shhouted making all other students look at us.

She looked around and realised everyone was waiting for her reply. She rolled her eyes and whispered "i will catch you up later"

Shelby asked me what relation she had with me. I explained her whatever happened in the school corridor and why was i late. She then told me everything about both of them as Shelby is our school's gossip queen.

I got to know that that bitch's name was Lacy and she was Harry's girlfriend for more than 3 years. They both bully other mates together. I really hate these kind of people.

Time skip to departure--------

I went to the detention room as said by that freaking teacher.

As I went there I saw Harry sitting at the back benches.

That day, changed my life completely. What he did to me was unexpected.
