STORY OF A DIFFERENT WORLD

Chapter 1 meeting a light.

The city lights of Kuala Lumpur sparkled like a constellation fallen to earth, but beneath the glimmer of the metropolis, shadows moved silently. Faiz, known in the streets as one of Malaysia’s most feared mafia heirs, walked with a calm that belied the storm inside him. To the world, he was untouchable cold, calculating, untamed. Yet, there was a cold he lived by, a sense of honor buried deep within the violent life he inherited.

But life had a strange way of twisted fate. His grandfather’s estate in a quiet small town outside of Kuala Lumpur became the reluctant refuge when Faiz needed to escape a brewing war in the city. It’s was there, among winding streets and houses that smelled of old wood and jasmine, that he first saw her.

Her name was Amina. A university student home for the holiday’s she moved with quite grace, a gentle dignity that made her seem almost untouchable. She speaks little, but her eyes dark, curious, and cautious held a world. Faiz hadn’t expected to find. The first time their paths crossed, she was in the small library of his grandfather’s house, carefully flipping through a worn book, her presence calm and distant, yet impossible to ignore.

Faiz felt it immediately the pull, the spark that had never touched his life before. A world of violence and power he knew so well suddenly seemed shallow compared to the gravity of her gaze. She was an enigma, a quiet light in the shadows of his life, and for the first time, he felt the dangerous thrill of wanting someone not for control, but for love.

But this time was a different world. His world the one of secrets, deals, and danger, could never easily touch hers. And her world the one of studied, family, and dreams was fragile against the storm he carried with him. Yet, something deep inside him whispered that meeting Amina was no accident. That this quiet girl, so distant yet so pure, might be the only anchor strong enough to hold the chaos of his life and perhaps, change it forever.

After that first encounter at his grandfather’s estate, Faiz couldn’t get Amina out of his mind. Every corner of his world seemed to remind him of her: the curve of her hijab framing her soft features, the quiet way she carried herself, the unspoken dignity in her gaze. It was unlike anything he had felt before a pull he both feared and curved.

When Amina returned to selangor for university, faiz found himself following from a distance. He was careful, silent, like a shadow in the city’s chaotic rhythm. At the university, he watched her from afar, noting how she lingered in the library, always respectfully of other’s space. At the cafe where she studied between classes, he observed her small gestures how her fingers traced the rim of her cup thoughtfully. Even at the university, the gym, where she moved with a quite focus, he stayed far enough away to remain unseen, yet close enough to feel a strange sense of connection.

He didn’t approach her not yet. Part of him wanted to, desperately, but another part feared disrupting the delicate balance of her life. She was innocent in ways he could never be, a light untainted by the shadows he carried. He told himself it was enough to see her, to protect her from afar if danger ever came, even if she never knew he existed.

And yet, every moment he watched, the line between admiration and obsession blurred. Faiz knew this life he led the life of whispered deals, hidden violence, and unbreakable codes. Was a world away from hers. But somewhere deep inside began to believe that maybe, just maybe, two such different lives could intersect… and change everything.

chapter1 meeting her

Faiz had been working at his company for weeks now, handing negotiations with a man who exuded authority and wealth an old businessman who reputation preceded him. Faiz, clam and sharp as ever, navigated the discussion with precision, unaware that the man he was making deals with was connected to someone he had been quietly watching for months.

After the meeting, as dusk settled over selangor, Faiz stepped out of the office. The streets seemed quieter than usual, uneasy calm settling around him. Then, without warning, a group of men appeared from the shadows, blocking his path.

He ran. Swift, calculated movements, his mind racing. One of the attackers slashed at him. Pain exploded across his arm, blood seeping through his shirt. He pushed forward, knowing the safest place was the one place that always felt like a refuge his grandfather’s estate.

He burst into the library, the familiar smell of old paper and polished wood grounding him as adrenaline surged through his veins. Sliding behind a large bookshelf, he pressed his wounded arm against the hard surface, trying to stop the bleeding.

That’s when she appeared. Amine, quickly returning a book to the shelf, froze when she saw the crimson stain on the source of it. Her eyes widened, shock and concern flooding her face.

“Are you… okay?” She asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Faiz’s chest tightened at the sound of her voice, “I’m… yes,”

he managed to say, though the lie was thin.

She hesitated, glancing at his arm, then reached toward him.

“Can I… help?”

He shook his head slightly, but the urgency in her expression broke his pride. She carefully puts on her gloves, her hands delicate and steady as she pressed a clean cloth to his wound.

His heart raced not from the pain, but from her proximity, from the quiet, radiant beauty of this girl he had been watching from afar.

“You’re… beautiful,” he muttered, almost unconsciously.

Amine’s eyes met his, startled, but she quickly looked away.

“Excuse me…”

He smiled faintly, catching himself. “I’m sorry… I mean thank you. For helping me.” His voice softened. “ What’s your name?”

Her gaze flicked to him again, calm yet wary. “Amina.”

He extended a hand, though lightly, as though testing the waters of this new connection.

“My name is… Faiz.”

The library fell silent around them, the only sound the faint trickle of blood being stilled by her carefully hands. Two worlds so different, so distant had collided, and neither of them could yet predict how dangerously close they were about to come.

Without shaking his hand, she walked away.

Faiz had been careful, patient, and precise. He had followed Amina for weeks, keeping his distance while observing her life at the university, the cafe, the gym every place she went, like a shadow woven into her routine. But the truth hit him like a Thunderbolt when he discovered her father the very man he had done business with was also the man trying to arrange her marriage to a partner at his company.

He couldn’t let that happen.

The thought of someone else claiming her, someone unworthy in his eyes, ignited a fire in him. Without hesitation, Faiz went to her father’s office. The moment he stepped into the room, his presence dominated the space calm, yet impossibly commanding.

“I want your daughter,” Faiz said, his voice firm and unwavering.

Her father’s eyes narrowed.

“No. She is promised to someone and else, that decision will not change.”

Faiz’s jaw tightened.

“Tomorrow, I will offer you something you can’t refuse.”

The next day, Faiz returned.

This time, he brought with him

an offer impossible to ignore: a full partnership in the company and a sum of money that would secure her father’s legacy beyond measure. The man hesitated only moment before nodding. Agreement was sealed.

Faiz didn’t wait. He returned to the estate, his presence filling the house with quiet authority. Sitting in the living room, he leaned back in the chair like a king surveying his domain, his gaze calculating and intense.

“I want the engagement to happen today,” he said, almost to himself. “And I want her here.”

The moment seemed

suspended in time. Then the sound of the front door echoed through the hall the unmistakable click of Amina returning from university. She stepped inside, unaware of the storm that had already swept through her home.

“Father? Mother? What’s going on?” She asked, her voice trembling with confusion.

Her father stood, a rare tension in his posture. “You’re getting married.”

Amina’s eyes widened in shock. Her gaze darted to the living room and froze. There, sitting with the calm assurance of someone who owned the world, was Faiz. His dark eyes met hers, and a small, almost mocking smile tugged at his lips.

“Nice seeing you, Amina, “he said softly. Pack your things. Tomorrow morning, we leave for Kuala Lumpur.

Amina’s heart raced. Her mind spun in disbelief. Her mother tried to soothe her, speaking softly of arrangements, plans, and traditions, but all she could hear was Faiz’s voice, steady and commanding.

The night passed in a blur. Anima moved with a mix of fear, confusion, and an unexpected curiosity. By the morning, she had packed her things, her thoughts still caught between outrage and a strange flutter in her chest whenever she remembered the way he had looked at her.

As dawn broke, they left the small town behind, the car gliding through the quiet streets. The journey to Kuala Lumpur felt surreal, each mile stretched the reality she thought she knew. She glanced at Faiz once he was calm, composed, yet there was a barely perceptible intentsity in his gaze that made her pulse quicken.

On the plane, Faiz remained silent, sitting like a shadowed sentinel beside her. His presence was overwhelming, magnetic, and yet, oddly protective. Amina couldn’t decide whether to feel fear, anger, or something entirely new something that made her heart raced uncontrollably.

The city lights of Kuala Lumpur began to approached, sparkling beneath the evening sky. A new chapter of their lives awaited,a world where danger, love, and power intertwined and neither of them would ever be the same again.

Chapter2 Kuala Lumpur.

The plane touched down in Kuala Lumpur, and Faiz’s world seemed to swallow Amina whole. As the passengers disembarked, his men quietly appeared at the jetway, carrying her bags with silent efficiency. She felt a flutter of nervousness this was a life she had never imagined, one that already felt overwhelming.

When they arrived at his mansion, the sheer scale of it took her breath away. Faiz, noticing the slight tension in her shoulders, glanced at her with a faint, unreadable smile.

“Relax,”he said lightly, his voice low and controlled. “My men will take care of everything.”

True to his words, servants quickly ushered her bags upstairs and guided her to a room prepared just for her. It was spacious, decorated with soft tones and warm lighting, a room that felt surprisingly welcoming despite the grandeur.

Faiz lingered at the doorway, watching her reactions. She shifted uncomfortably, unsure how to act in the vastness of his home. He saw it immediately. “I’ll have someone arrange things for you,” he said, his voice calm but firm, “so you’ll feel comfortable.”

The next morning, Faiz decided it was time she understood the world she had been brought into. He led her through the house, revealing a massive library with floor to ceiling shelves, the air smells faintly of polished wood and new paper. “I know you love to read, “ he said, his tone quiet but deliberate.

She blinked at him, surprised, before he guided her to a fully equipped gym with sunlight streaming through tall windows. “And I know you like to work out,” he added, his dark eyes scanning her face for any reaction.

Amina hesitated, caught between awe and suspicion.

“How… How do you know?” She asked softly, genuinely curious.

Faiz looked away, just for a moment,as though embarrassed to admit anything.

” I think… I just thought you’d like it,” he said simply, his voice smooth and carefully.

She studied him for a moment, then let a small smile escape. “Thank you, anyway,” she said, a mix of gratitude and restraint in her tone. Without waiting for a response, she walked off to explore the gym, leaving him standing there, quietly observing her.

Faiz’s chest tightened in a way he didn’t expect. She moved with grace, her presence gentle yet commanding in its own way, and he realized that every detail of her life the quiet habits, the dignity, the subtle strength was something he wanted to protect, to be part of.

And yet, he didn’t say anything more. For now, he left her world remains hers, even as his own shadow quietly lingered at its edges.

The evening, Faiz decided to take Amina out for dinner. The restaurant was quiet, elegant, the kind where the city lights danced faintly across polished tables. He pulled out her chair, his calm, composed demeanor radiating authority but tonight, there was something else, a flicker of curiosity and amusement in his gaze.

“Do you know what you want?”

he asked casually, studying her carefully.

Amina’s eyes flashed with anger. “Do you really have to ask?” She said, her voice trembling with a mixture of frustration and hurt. “Thanks to you… you’ve stepped into the life I was bullied. I had plans, Mr. Faiz, I wanted to finish my university, carve out a life that was mine. And now… now feels like you’ve taken control of it.

Her words hit him like a wipe.

The casual, commanding world he lived in had never faced someone so honest, so raw, with such courage. He remained quiet for a moment, letting her words sink in.

“Congratulations, Mr. Faiz,” she added, sarcasm and pain lacing the words.

Faiz’s jaw tightened slightly, but instead of anger, a strange calm washed over him. He studied her not with cold detachment of a man used to control, but with a curiosity that was almost tender. He realized she wasn’t angry at him personally, but at her life he represented and maybe at herself, for being so shaken.

A week later, after careful thought and discussion with her father, Faiz made a call. His voice was steady, smooth, yet there was a faint softness hidden beneath.

“You can go back to university,”

he said. “Finish what you started. This time, it’s entirely yours.”

Amina was silent at first,

touched by the unexpected gesture. For someone who had entered her life like a storm, taking so much control, he had also given her the chance to reclaim a part of herself. She felt unfamiliar.warmth rise in her chest, a mixture of gratitude and cautious trust.

“Thank you,” she said quietly, her voice softer than usual, but carrying the weight of someone truly moved.

Faiz allowed himself a small almost impreceptibe smile. Watching her, he knew this was only the beginning her world and his world were colliding, but slowly, subtly, lines were being drawn where trust, understanding, and perhaps something far more dangerous love could grow.

The morning sun slipped through the wide windows of the mansion, painting the marble floor in soft gold. Amina walked down the grand staircase, her bag in hand, still unsure how to feel about everything.

Faiz was already waiting in the living room, dressed sharply, clam as ever. When she appeared, he turned silently and said in that steady voice of his,

I’ve prepared a car for you. The driver will take you to the university and bring you back every day. You don’t have to worry about anything.

Outside, a sleek black car waited, shining in the sunlight. The driver stood by the door respectfully, ready to open it for her.

Amina hesitated for a moment, surprised at the gesture.

“Thank you,” she said quietly, though her tone was still distant.

He simply nodded. “Go on.

Don’t be late for class.”

All day at the university, Amina felt strangeness of her new life the whispers from friends, the lingering thoughts about Faiz, the way everything had changed so suddenly. Yet, deep inside, she couldn’t ignore that part of him that seemed to care, even when he didn’t say it.

The evening, when the car returned and she stepped inside the mansion, Faiz was in the same place he was always was: waiting, calm, unreadable. He looked up from his desk as she entered.

Let’s go out,” he said suddenly, his tone gentler than usual. “Tell me what you like, where you’d want to go, what you want to eat.”

Amina paused, caught off guard. She met his gaze for a moment, her expression unreadable, confused, exhausted, maybe even a touch of sadness in her eyes. Then, without saying a word, she turned and quietly walked upstairs.

The sound of her door locking echoed faintly through the hall.

Faiz stood there for a long moment, the silence pressing around him. A faint frown crossed his face, not out of anger, but out of something deeper something he couldn’t quite name.

He sighed, slipped his hands into his pocket, and walked back to his office. Behind the heavy wooden door, the world of papers, calls, and business, waiting for him again. But for the first time, none of it felt enough.

Because upstairs, behind a locked door, was the only person who had ever made him feel human and she was slipping further away with every step quiet step.
