The night was quiet...too quiet. A shadow moved like wind in the darkness. Nobody knew who she was, nobody should know who she was.

But tonight, luck ran thin.

Something came from behind her, hitting her neck and making her unconscious.

After some time, the girl woke up in an unknown place. Her eyes adjusting to the lights. She rubbed her eyes, looking around.

Her gaze landed on a figure In front of her. A man sitting in the chair In front of her. The figure stood up, revealing Lucian Blackwood, one of the strongest mafias. He is calm, dangerous and hard to ignore. He wore a sharp suit and had piercing black eyes.

He stood in front of the girl and looked down on her, "Quite impressive, I must say" He said coldly, "Who would have thought my rival was a woman"

The woman blinks, realizing she got caught. She tries to play innocent, "uhh...I think you have the wrong person" She said, laughing nervously

"Oh no, I didn't" Lucian said, smirking slightly "I think I have the right person, the girl who caused so much trouble for me... Evelyn Sinclair"

Evelyn froze, realizing her identity has been revealed. She quickly regained her composer and said, "...what do you want from me?" Her gaze landing on his face, taking in his sharp features.

Lucien chuckled darkly, the sound echoing in the room, "straight to the point, I see" His lips curled into a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"Of course, I don't want to waste my precious time" Evelyn rolled her eyes. Her black, long hair shining in the lights

Lucian raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Well, I won't waste your 'precious' time then" He turned around and walked towards his desk, sitting down.

Evelyn walked towards his desk. She stood in front of the desk, crossing her arms "if you want to kill me, just do it"

Lucian leaned back in his chair. "Kill you?" He laughed. "Sweetheart, that would be too easy. I have a better idea for you"

Evelyn looked at him, skeptically. "Which is?..."

"Be my wife" Lucian said flatly, watching her reaction

Evelyn's eyes widen. "Be your what now?!"

Lucian smirked, "You heard me. It's either you become my wife or die, it's simple"

Evelyn slammed her hands on the desk, looking furious. "Then I'd rather die!" she shouted.

Lucian just stopped up and walked around the table. He stood in front of her and leaned down slightly, looking at her. "you'd rather die?... interesting"

"How can I just let you die? Especially since you have been such trouble for me this past year" He laughed, his face inches away from her

Evelyn took a step back and maintained her composer. "I'd rather watch paint dry on the wall then marry you" she glared at him

Lucian laughed and let her step back. "Is that so, my dear? Well too bad, you will marry whether you like it or not"
