Lia: "I HATE YOU LIFE! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO ME?!"

?: "Hm? Did I hear someone yelling just now? Sounds like it came fro----... SH*T! Is that girl going to jump?! I have to go do something!"

THUD THUD THUD THUD.

Hi I'm Lia. I'm sixteen and I'm five foot four inches tall. I have almost black but brown hair. I have light brown eyes. And here's a story.

6:50 a.m. Friday, February 21. Lia's home...

CRASH!

Stepfather: "You B*TCH! You have now broken the new vase! Clean it up now!"

Lia: "I-I I'm s-sorry. It was a-an accident. I didn't m-mean t-----"

SMACK! Lia's stepfather smacked her. Lia's thoughts: Oh-no... That's going to leave a bruise.

Stepfather: "Don't talk back to me! Just get the da*n glass cleaned up!"

As soon as he left Lia began to cry. Cut.

Lia: "OW! I cut my fingers. Oh well... it doesn't matter anyway..."

Sobb... Sobb...

11:45 a.m. School...

RRRIIINNNGGG!

Teacher: "Alright. Class is over. You may go to lunch now."

When I was in an empty class room sitting on the floor... three students came up to her. Two girls and one guy. They all seemed to be a little older than her.

Student A: "Hey twerp. what are you doing. Why aren't you eating? Too poor to eat? Well!"

Student A was a tall black haired girl. She appeared to be at least eighteen. Or at least tall for her age. She had a baseball bat.

Lia: "..."

Lia's thoughts: Here goes this again... But new people this time...

Student B: "Hey! Ann said something to you! Are you deaf?!"

Student B was a little shorter than Ann. And had reddish hair. She seemed about seventeen. She had nothing in her hands.

Ann: "Yeah Bailey is right you b*tch! Now answer me!"

Lia: "..."

Student C: "Hey little sis. Let's stop the chitchat and get this done before lunch break is over. Okay?"

Student C was a boy about eighteen too. He had short blonde hair. He seemed to have a pocket knife.

Lia's thoughts: Uh-oh. This can't be too good...

Bailey: "Okay Conner."

Then they surrounded Lia.

WHAM! Ann hit Lia in the back. KICK! Bailey kicked Lia's side. So far Conner wasn't doing anything. And then... THUD! I blacked out.

Lia: "Ung... Wh--- OW!"

As I took a look at myself I noticed... I was covered in my blood! I had cuts all over me. And I was bruised everywhere too! It was very dark where I was. There was one window. And it was dark out. I started to feel around.

Lia: "Am I in the school storage shed?"

Then I saw a light. It looked like a flashlight.

Lia's thoughts: It must be a guard! I need to call for help!

Lia: "H-HELP! PLEASE! S-SOMEONE HELP ME!"

The flashlight shone through the window. The light was right on me.

Guard: "OH MY WORD! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! DON'T WORRY I'M COMING!"

And with that he opened up the school storage shed. As he did so I started to black out. What he said wasn't quite clear to me. The last things I heard were...

Guard: "MISS?! M--S?! Are you alright?! What ha---ned to you?! I'm going to get you to the hosp---!"

BEEP...... BEEP...... BEEP......

Lia: "... Hmm?"

Doctor: "Miss are you awake?"

Lia: "Y- yeah..."

Doctor: "Great. Your injuries weren't too bad. So in half an hour you can go home. Okay miss?"

Lia: "Yes... Thank you..."

Doctor: "Also can you tell us who did this to you, when they did it, where they did it, and why?"

Lia: "I don't know why they did it. But I can tell you the names and when they did this to me. There were three people. Conner, Ann, and Bailey. Where they did it was school. And when they did it was lunchtime."

Doctor"Do you know when you were found?"

Lia: "No... But it was dark out. (GASP) OH! What time is it?! I'm going to be in so much trouble if I'm late home!"

Doctor: "It's a quarter until twelve o'clock."

Lia: "Oh no! I need to go NOW!"

Doctor: "Well... I do suppose... we could let you leave a little early... So... I'll have the nurse get you your stuff. Okay?"

Lia: "Okay. And thank you very much."

Doctor: "No problem. Well the nurse will be right with you. Bye."

Lia: "Thank you. Bye."

Once the doctor left I tried my hardest not to cry.

Lia: "Well..."

I said this while standing in front of my house.

Lia: "I guess I'm ready for the worst..."

As soon as I opened the door he was drunk in the kitchen.

Lia's thoughts: Oh boy... This really will be the worst...

Stepfather: "Hey!"

He said with sluggishness. Then he picked up a book and threw it at me. It missed me. So I ran passed him to the door leading to the stairs. Once in I shut the door and locked it.

THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD.

I ran as fast and hard as I could up the stairs. Then into the attic. After that I opened the window and I climbed out of the attic onto the roof.

Then I looked around my house to make sure no one was out. I walked to the very edge. And then I yelled this as loud as I could.

Lia: "I HATE YOU LIFE! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO ME?!"

?: "Hm? Did I hear someone yelling just now? Sounds like it came fro----... SH*T! Is that girl going to jump?! I have to go do something!"

THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD.

?: "HEY! STOP! DON'T JUMP! PLEASE!"

Lia: "Oh no! I need to jump now. Before he gets over here."

SWOOSH!

I jumped... Lia's thoughts: Finally I can end my suffering...

?: "This isn't good! Now I have to show what I am!"

SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH.

Lia's thoughts: WHAT! HE'S JUMPING UP MY HOUSE SIDE! WHAT IS HE?! HES HEADED FOR ME!

As I was falling he jumped and caught me in mid air. Then he used the house wall to push off. Then he landed gently and very gracefully on a big tree branch.

?: "What the hell were you doing up there miss?! Why do you want to kill yours--!? Wait... Why are you all beat up and cut up?"

Lia: "Y-you're not h-human!"

?: "Well... No. I'm not a human."

Lia: "What a-are you then?"

?: "Well... I guess there's not a point in lying now... I'm half demon and half vampire. I'm a noble among vampires and demons all over. And my name is Allen. Allen Jones. And you are?"

Allen Jones's self description: Six feet and two inches tall. Silver hair. Light icy blue eyes with a black outlining. Half vampire half demon noble and seventeen years old.

Lia: "I-I'm Lia..."

Once I said my name he seemed to freeze for a second...

Allen: "Well... Lia... Why on earth did you try to kill yourself by jumping off a rooftop?"

Lia: "Why do you care... I'm just a nobody who doesn't deserve to live a good life..."

Allen: "I care because nobody deserves to end up wishing themselves dead. Now please tell me what happened to you. And why you were going to jump off the rooftop."

Allen's thoughts: Sorry... I can't tell you the real reason I care...

Lia: "I... I was beaten and knocked out. Then I woke up in the school storage shed... all cut up..."

Once I looked up at him he seemed shocked. But his eyes were soo beautiful. They were a light icy but sweet blue with a black outlining. Then he gently but sadly smiled at me. Now was the only time I have ever felt peaceful.

Then all of a sudden he hugged me. I was in shock.

Allen: "I'm so sorry to hear that... Truly I am... But... I also heard yelling. From your house... What happened there?"

Lia: "W-w-----"

BAM!

Lia: "Huh?! Was that a gunshot just now?!"

Allen: "SSHHH! (Whisper) We need to get the hell out of here... NOW."

Lia: "What?! We?! Where are w---?!"

Just before I could finish speaking a big crimson red and black foggy hole appeared. It looked like a portal of some sort. Then right when we were about to go through it...

BAM!

Allen: "GAH!"

We started to fall headfirst. But at the very last moment he twisted around. So he hit the ground and broke the fall. I felt something wet underneath me... I raised myself to see that it was...

BLOOD! He was shot in the side. While we were falling I noticed something... Allen seemed to be saying something.

?: "Well, well, well... What do we have here? Looks like Prince charming saved his childhood princess. HA! Finally a chance to get rid of both!"

Allen: "D*mn you! I will not let you lay a finger on her! Or I Will kill you. You traitor!"

Lia's thoughts: What the hell is going on here?! What does he know about my childhood? Something is off... I have to do something!

Allen's thoughts: Sh*t. I can't let her find out until the right time. I need to kill the traitor.

Then Allen began to stand.

Traitor: "Well... Trying to act tough I see. For little miss prin---"

Allen: "SHUT UP!"

By now Allen was standing.

Traitor: "Oh... I see. You don't want her to know. Well might as well tell her since you're both about to die. Ha ha ha!"

As the man was laughing Allen gathered some form of ball. It appeared to be a crimson and black one... Made fogof like the portal.

As the fighting wore on I notice that Allen looked and acted much stronger. Eventually...

Traitor: "GAH!"

He seemed to have been shot by magic in his shoulder...

Traitor: "I'll come back! And with more people!"

With this he fled from the fight.

Lia: "What was that all about?

Allen: "No... Time to... Talk..."

He huffed out while opening another portal. As I looked at him again closely, I noticed his wound was healing! And rapidly at that. But suddenly he turned around, grabbed me, and jumped through.

Lia: "AHH!"

I held onto him tightly. Because now we were plumbeting into total darkness. There was no telling what might happen to me if one, or both, of us were to let go. And then... THUD. We landed on something hard.

Allen: "Luckily he used a normal bullet."

Then after saying this he clapped two times. Immediately blue and red flames appeared in a tight circle around us.

Soon the flames shot out and lit candles that had been surrounding us. When the candles were hit by the fire they lit purple.

Next Allen snapped and there was a pathway in front of us.

Allen: "Come on. Follow the path."

Lia: "Where a-are we?"

Allen: "Were in the demon and vampire dimension. But don't worry. As long as you are with me no one will harm you."

Lia's thoughts: He's being so sweet... I wonder why that is...

Soon we came to what appeared to be a door. Allen opened the door. At first I was blinded by the brightness. Compared to the darkness from before.

Once I finally saw clearly...

Lia: "Wow..."

Allen: "Well being a noble this is my home."

I was too absorbed in looking around that it startled me when he tapped me on the shoulder.

Allen: "My sister should be here somewhere. I'll ask her to ----"

Young girl: "ALLEN, ALLEN, ALLEN, ALLEN! You're finally home! It's been almost a month! Oooooohhhhhhh! Who's she? She's super pretty! Why's she all beat up? Allen what happened? Do I know her? Oh oh oh I do know her sh----"

Allen seemed liked he was about panic. So he said:

Allen: "No more. Remember what I said about it. Please no more Elaine. where's our dad?"

Elaine's self description: Sixteen years old and four feet and ten inches tall. Allen's younger twin sister. Red hair and green us blue eyes.

Elaine: "Dad's not home yet. He's still meeting with the king and the prince. Now can you tell me why you brought a human here. You know you're not supposed to. Dad will be angry."

Allen: "I'll explain later. But not now."

Soon Allen, Elaine, and I were walking down a hallway. All of a sudden we stoped.

Allen: "Lia you stay in the guest bedroom for a few minutes with Elaine. Okay? I need to do something really quick. And Elaine. Don't say anything stupid okay? Please."

Lia: "Okay."

Elaine: "No problem."

Elaine: "So I'm Elaine. I'm his sister. And would you like to introduce yourself to me? And what brings you here?"

Lia: "Yeah... I-I'm Lia. And I... um... met Allen o-outside my house. Then we were attacked by s-someone. Allen called him a traitor. And the traitor was saying some weird stuff. I didn't really understand because Allen cut off h-his words. So he brought me here... I don't know the e-exact reason why though..."

Now that I finished speaking she looked a little worried.

Elaine: "Did either of you two get hurt?"

Lia: "I didn't. B-but Allen did. The traitor had a gun. Allen got s-shot in the side. It healed up almost immediately."

Elaine: "Well... I'll have him make sure the gun was normal. And not a cursed one. Anyway... Why are you all beat up? I mean if you didn't get hurt by the traitor."

Lia: "Um... Well... It happened at my school..."

Elaine: "Oh... I see... Well I'm sorry that happened to you..."

After that things went silent for a little while... It was awkward...

Elaine: "Oh! You should probably get your wounds cleaned up. So they don't get infected. Come with me. Okay?"

Lia: "(Whisper) I don't get why anyone would care about me... I'm useless..."

Elaine heard this but decided not to say anything. Or it might make Lia feel embarrassed.

So we headed to go wash up my wounds.

18 minutes later...

Elaine: "Okay. All done. Now that the wounds have been cleaned we need to apply the ointment. I'll be right back."

So with this she left the guest bathroom to find ointment. I had to take of my school uniform to get all the cuts clean.

Lia's thoughts: I hope no one but Elaine comes in...

And just as I thought this... KNOCK, KNOCK.

Lia: "H-hello?"

Allen: "Lia? Are you in there?"

I guess he didn't hear me. So I was about to say it again but was too slow.

Allen: "Lia are you okay? I'm opening the door."

Just as I was going to say something, the door started to open. And then...

Elaine: "ALLEN! Don't go in there! I need to apply ointment to her. So don't go in."

Allen: "Oh! I just didn't hear her. I was going to make sure she was okay. Well I'll get going now. Oh and here's the outfit for her. Since her clothing was ruined."

Elaine: "Okay. Great. Thank you Allen"

So now Elaine was applying the ointment to me. After a few minutes it was dry.

Elaine: "Alright. here's the dress for you. And when you are done come out. Okay?"

Lia: "W-wait... Will I go home? I don't want my step father to be too mad. And I need to go to school tomorrow."

Elaine: "I'll talk to Allen. Okay?"

Lia: "Okay... Thank you Elaine."

Elaine: "No problem. Anything for a friend."

I was shocked. I had never heard someone call me their friend before.

Once she left I looked at the outfit. It was gorgeous! It was a long dress. The bottom was a dark red almost black. Then the higher you went on the dress the lighter the red was.

Until it was at the white top. It had black gems on it. It had a v-neck with black lace over it. The bottom of the dress had white lace around it.

I was almost afraid to try it on. For fear I would ruin it. But I did anyway.

After getting it on I realized that it was a perfect fit. So now I headed out to the guest bedroom just outside the bathroom. And as soon as I did that I realized something.

I could hear some people arguing with Allen and Elaine. One of them sounded like an older man. The other sounded like a young man. And this is what I heard:

Older man: "D*mn you son! I've told you to never bring that... that... thing here ever again! Why did you do it. And especially now that the crowned Prince is here! Yo---."

Young man: "Sh... I can hear her. And I can smell a strong smell of sweet blood! The sweetest I have ever smelled before!"

I couldn't help but gasp. And what that gasp got me was scary. First everything went silent. And then...

Young man: "Hello."

He popped out of nowhere. I was so terrified I couldn't move.

Young man: "My oh my. Don't you look stunning."

You could tell he was enjoying my scare because he was smiling. Then all of a sudden he looked confused.

Young man: "Let me introduce myself. I'm Prince Andrew. And I recognize you. But you probably won't recognize me."

I subconsciously stepped back. But he grabbed me by the shoulders and I jumped. He moves fast!

Prince Andrew: "Where do you plan on going Lia? Come on. Say something."

I froze. He said he knows me. He knows my name.

Lia: "I-I... When h-have we ever m-met? A-and how d-do you know m-my name?"

Prince Andrew: "Ha ha ha! I had forgotten. You don't remember me due to having your memory wiped clean of all of us here.

And how that happened is the fact that Allen's father had wiped your memory to forget everything. But now that you're here again we should tell you who you really are. Yo----."

Allen: "WAIT! We don't need to tell her! We can erase her memory again!"
