I put on my shoes ready to head out the door.

“Bye mom!”

“Careful Lexa”

I run as fast as I can to my school can’t help but to notice the kids that were by the gate.

“What’s up” I ask my friend Jisoo

“Andre Yu is here”

“Why?”

“Looking for someone”

“Hmm”

Andre Yu is the oldest son of Liam Yu, the Yu family are the most wealthiest family in country Z. Liam Yu and his wife had him at the age of 20 and 5 years later his wife past away. They have always been so open to the public but ever since the accident they stopped. His sister Lana Yu is known to be very sweet and like all of them beautiful. They rule this country, and even if someone tried to stop them. I don’t think it would have worked.

“Wonder who” I wisper as the limo door open and a young tall man gets out

“Andre Yu” I hear every girl whisper

“Does anyone knows Lexa Lin?” The man says

My heart skips a beat as I realize he was looking for me. I turn around ready to run when..

“I know!” Jisoo says.

“Oh yeah? Where is she” the young man says getting closer by the sound of his voice.

“She’s right there”

I feel a point behind my back but didn’t bother to look and instead run for my life. I hear the man saying thank you to Jisoo.

“What the hell jisoo, why would you do me like this” I picture myself yelling at her after I get out of this situation. I run so fast to my house where I see another limo and some men in black suit. I turn to the corner. I knew every inch of this neighborhood, as long as I stay hidden and everyone stays by my side I could hide from them. I stop and hide behind a bin.

“Where is she?” The same voice that talked to Jisoo.

“I don’t know sir, she got out of our sight” another man says

“Find her.”

I hear footsteps come closer as my heart beats faster and faster. I hold my backpack really tight waiting for the person to be close enough so I could smack them. Tap. Tap. Tap.

“I know you’re here.. Lexa.” The man says

I was surrounded by them. A big gate was in front of me and only once did I get through it. Opened. I can’t get out of this situation unless I climb over.

“Just come out Lexa I just want to talk”

“Never. And go away!” I say in fear.

I run towards the gate and climb to the other side. I stop and turn around to see a black figure of a tall man. Slowly turning to walk back to my house the man stops me saying

“You’ll never get away, Lexa”

“And you’ll never catch me..”

Please let this be a dream.

I run home, yelling for my mom.

“Lexa? What’s wrong?”

“Mom!” I say, hugging her tight

“We need to go. NOW.”

“What are you talking about lexa?”

“Mom pack your things now!”ʕ⁎̯͡⁎ʔ༄

I hurry back to my bedroom, hearing my mother say something.

“What the-“ I say in shock, when I realize that I had not escaped Andre Yu after all.

“Why, hello dear” he says

“WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE” I yell

“Your mother invited me in, dear”

“Lexa Mae! Be nice to Mr. Yu!” Mother says, catching up.

“What?!” As I look back at the man who made me run like a cheetah, I catch him smirk.

“Anyway, as I was saying Mrs. Bale, I would like to give your daughter a full time job in my fathers company. Whom which I will be managing next month.”

“No thanks, I like to go to this thing called school. And why would I want to work with someone that made me run 100 miles per second?” I glare at him.

“You will be given your very own private tutor, and all of your expenses shall be paid.” He says

“Wait Mr. Yu, if I do agree to this, will you make sure that my daughter gets the same education that everyone in her class does?” My mother says

“Wait mo-“ I try to say, when Andre Yu interrupts me

“Yes Mrs. Bale, I know you are not doing very good financially. If it weren’t for your daughter’s intelligence, I would not even be here”

“Excuse me, I don’t want your stupid private totur or your ‘special’ job!” I yell

“I agree with Mr. Yu, Lexa. We aren’t doing good at all. I know you don’t want this, but this is for your own good.”

“I’m not leaving you, and even if i agree with the not so good financially thing, I would never WORK with this SELF CENTERED MAN!”

“Lexa! You are going wither you like it or not, this is a good opportunity for you! I can’t keep up with your expenses anymore, and you’re so close to finishing your first year of college”

I run out the room and into the bathroom. Crying away. When someone knocks.

“Your mom has agreed. I’ll see you tomorrow, by 8:30am I’ll be here.”

That was Andre Yu, I think. I sigh knowing I could not escape from this now. If only dad didn’t leave, then maybe this would never happen.

“Lexa, I know you hate me right now. I just want the best for you.” My mom says.

I open the door and hug her.

“It’s okay mom, I love you.”

“I love you too, hunny”

I could not sleep THAt night, but there was no turning back now. I had packed and my mother helped me. I would not be seeing her for a couple of months, and I would have to live with Andre Yu and his stupid rules. See me in hell, I guess.

I wake up 7am, looking at my ceiling.

“Well this is going to be a crappy day” I think.

I look next to my bed and see the suitcase that has been packed and ready to go. Sighing, I get up and walk to my bathroom. Seeing the sad face that my father has left behind had me thinking that maybe this was all meant to be. That my fate is to be controlled by some salty but handsome man.

After finishing up in the bathroom I walk down the stairs to the kitchen.

“Good morning sweetie” my mother says

“hi..” I say still a bit disappointed of her choice

“Are you ready? He’s going to be here in about 30 minutes”

“I guess.”

“Are you... still ma-“

“Look mom, I’m fine. Just don’t talk about it.”

This was the first time that I have ever cut my mother off and I could see the sadness in her face.

“I’m sorry lexa. I just, if your dad was here then maybe we would have been fine”

“I know”

“I hope you know that this hurts me too.”

And after that sentence I turned around and walked to my bedroom.

“Hello?”

“Hello dear” a familiar voice says

“Who’s this?”

“Your future husband”

“Hm, right. Cut the b******* I’m not in the mood. Now answer my question before I track you down and kill your family” I threaten smiling.

“Really? Didn’t know you had it in you, lexa.” That’s it. Andre Yu.

“It’s you.”

“It’s me” I can see his smile through the phone

“ what.”

“I was just calling to ask if you were ready, you have less than 10 minutes after all”

“And how do you know I won’t sneak out?”

“Because, you wouldn’t let your mother get hurt would you? And plus I know you’re tired of running and my men are tired of chasing”

“Don’t. You. Dare. Touch my mother Andre Yu”

“See you in a little bit”

Asshole. I hate everything about him.

10 minutes later\~

-doorbell rings-

“Yes? Oh hello! Welcome! Yeah she’s ready!” I hear my mother saying to whom I think I know

“Lexaaaa!” She calls

“I’m coming mother!”

I walk down the flight of stairs with my suitcase in my hand. One of Andre Yu’s men then run to help me.

“No.”

“Excuse me?” The man says

“I said no. I can do it, now let go”

“Let her be Marco” Andre says

“Yes sir” marco answers

After taking a minute on the stairs I finally get to the door. Walking pass the man and my mother whom I wanted to say goodbye to. I ask the driver of the black limo to open the trunk and after my mother closed the door the little demon speaks.

“You know dear, you could have asked marco to do that”

“It’s alright sir, I know how to handle my own stuff” I say gritting my teeth

“Alright then, get in the car. We have a long day and drive ahead of us”

Not listening to what he says I get in the limo and look out the window. This was the first time I realized how small our town really was. Driving away from the house I saw the figure if my mother.

“You excited?” He has the audacity to ask me that? When he took me away from my mother?!

“From what it seems like, I’m only going to get excited if I see my mother, or get away from you.” I say, with tears falling down my face. He clearly didn’t care. Or budged. Because when I slowly turned my head back to the window, I saw his little smirk on the corner of his face. Now all I have are the ifs. Ifs that are impossible.
